The impossible has happened. After five long years, Michel Vorm delivered my first penalty save of my Fantasy Football management career. There could be no question – this latest episode had to be dedicated to Swansea’s Dutch stopper.

Ironically, it follows last week’s outing that found me lamenting my cursed luck. Vorm answered my prayer (or moans – Mark) – the monkey is finally off my back, and I can hardly contain my joy during this week’s session.

Elsewhere, the regulars are scattered around discussing the dubious merits of Jonny Evans, talk a hamstrung Van der Vaart, the shifting goalposts of the Fantasy Island Risk and Mark’s quest to win his own Cup competition. The selfish bugger.

David Villa broke his leg against some unknown Middle East team in the Club World Cup. Out 4-5 months, trying to make it back for CL later rounds and Euro 2012. What a downer for him, his team and his country. While drowning in mids they aren't heavy on proven strikers, especially with Torres crap. Pretty much only leaves Llorente for Spain and Pedro/Messi for Barca.

  OK. I'm captaining Sturridge because I'm not sure if MON might improve Sunderland defending, but it's marginal. Only quibble is maybe Simpson over Kompany, think CS chance better.

  Wilko is injured, even if it doesn't appear on FPL. He quit Stoke's midweek Besiktas match early with some niggle. Unless it disappears by Saturday he's doubtful.
  
  Shotton is in the team, playing out of position in midfield and 4.0. He is also increasingly doing long throws. It's got to be him.

      Shotton played 90 in the last two matches. Obviously can't proclaim him definite starter for Tue rest of the season based on that, but he got 1 CS there while Wilkinson who dropped out of the team got 1 CS in 13 games. Looks very much like Shotton in favour of Wilkinson. Woodgate is very unlikely to remain a fixture.

Ba ade yak

A - benching BAE shawx and Walters
B - BAE in kelly on bench
C - Walters in for drente
D- something else

Captain is tricky - vdv or bains huge differentials nani and ade or ba safe choices and mata the dark horse.

My dilema is (a) would leave me Chelsea coverage, (b) I think Rooney will be the main point grabber for United.
