Bonanza! With three of our five suggested bets coming in last week, and a fourth on Nani just a back-flip away from paying out, the “Fantasy Flutter” struck gold. After weeks of hitting bets and covering our stake, finally we’re starting to see some real profit. With the £25 return tucked in our back pocket, and Paddy posting up more markets, we shall see if the streak continues or whether our luck is pinched out…

This week Paddy deliver odds on some Flutter regulars, covering all positions on the pitch. Up first is our set-piece-taking, wing-hugging Everton flyer, Leighton Baines. For one of the priciest defenders around, Baines has provided only two goals, one assist and two clean sheets this season, whilst not missing a single minute of pitch-time. His poor individual haul reflects Everton’s uninspiring season to this point, but when the Toffees win, Baines is always in the mix for returns. Weekend opponents Norwich have been bashed around when on the road, and we feel that Baines looks good for some profit in a game of goals at Goodison. We’ll open up our tenner, with £2 on Baines to score from a dead-ball at 11/2.

Swansea’s performance in last week’s clash with Fulham made for good reading for all those (probably a lot of you) that had Michel Vorm in goal. But the comfortable 2-0 result perhaps failed to tell the full story. Although Fulham conceded, Leroy Lita and company never looked truly threatening going forward. Even taking into account their recent injuries, Newcastle seem a good bet to hold firm against the Swans at St James’ this weekend. Paddy have Scout Pick Ryan Taylor to keep a cleanie and Newcastle to win at 21/10; we’ll take that for £3 of our stake.

The Yak is back, and lining up a very favourable fixture at home to the Baggies. Although he had a quieter week, facing off against Martin O’Neil’s Sunderland, Yakubu is still very much on our radar. On the bench as prime budget option in the Scout Picks, we’ll back the Yak to score and Blackburn to win at 3/1 for a quid of our money.

Chelsea’s “number Juan” playmaker (sorry) is away to Roberto Martinez’s struggling Wigan side in the late kick-off on Saturday. Chelsea will be riding a wave of confidence after defeating league leaders Man City at the Bridge on Monday; the Latics look to there for the taking. Juan Mata to assist, and low scoring Wigan to keep off the score sheet, is a massive 6/1. Our £3 stake doesn’t seem quite enough on this, with value written all over it, but we need to save a nugget for our final flutter.

Our regular “who will score the most” market features last week’s winner Wayne Rooney once again, this time at the better price of 13/8. But we’re not going to take that. We’re not even going to take the fair price of 7/4 on Daniel Sturridge on the aforementioned potential goalfest at Wigan. No, in-fact, we’ll be placing our final pound on Demba Ba at 15/8 to hopefully rifle a few past visiting Vorm. Swansea’s fans may have maintained their match-long chant of “Michel Vorm m’lord, Michel Vorm” last weekend, but Ba looks well placed to silence the traveling Swans faithful at St James’ Park.

Paddy’s Money Back Specials

We may have steered clear of the City vs Arsenal clash with the Scout Picks, but Paddy have faced the weekend’s big encounter head-on. They’re offering a money back special, refunding all first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast single bets on the match, if Mario Balotelli or Robin Van Persie scores the last goal.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

I think he offers a real differential..........forget the last few weeks, if you look at it objectively as one game you would expect him to do well, Ade has been great but is not mentally a good player and is always open to an off day. Harry (despite being a crook and having a face like a melted candle) is a great man Manager and will be trying to get VDV back scoring so I would expect him to take pens, more free kicks than usual and be encouraged to get back in the box more often.

Don't own any Chelsea players and have Nani and Jones from United. Don't see Nani scoring like he did last week.

Not made any transfers yet but I don't have a way of getting Mata without dropping one of Nani, VDV or Silva.

And to get Sturridge I'd have to drop one of RVP, Ba, Adebayor.

I expect Chelsea to score big this week but not sure it's worth any of those transfers.

looking at your team its good. back to the point re transfers, there are a lot of peeps who in your position this week would make a transfer or two as they could see some improvements, but then your team is well set up for next week so its better to hold out, not take hits and then have a strong score next week rather then all the reshuffling and unnecessary hits. whatever your doing its working really well. good luck and well done.

Depends on how much you would lose on Silva I guess.

I personally would only lose 0.2 on him so I'm tempted to bring in mata and then bring back in Silva for the stoke game next week.

I'm in a similar boat to be honest-I have both Bale and VDV in midfield and I don't want to get rid of either before their DGW so it's looking like Silva has to go.

Mata is matching Silva more or less for points since GW6 and I don't really envision Silva doing anything on Sunday, but you ave an inkling that Mata could do something decent at Wigan.

Good morning everyone - Dead Zoners, L5ers, the halt and the lame.

So, Paddy Kenny seems to be out again and Krul has conceded seven in his last two games, albeit with a makeshift defence and no Tiote in front of him.

Is Tim Howard worth the extra dosh over Krul until the next Wildcard? Everton have decent fixtures and a double but no form.........
Howard also has the ugliest shirt in the Prem and I don't know if I could bear looking at it for a month.

i think they're both about the same actually. both on pens, though larsson also takes free kicks and can pick up assists. walters is more up front though and a target for long throws. i'd say they're about equal, just go with whoever has the best fixtures. theyre the same price so you could always swap them when fixtures change. walters for me.

Yes. I have just done the same transfer as i think he will score well and obviously good to have for the DGW coming up. O'Hara has a good fixture up next before things get tricky for Wolves so decided to cut loose

i have 1 free transfer, if i get him in and he doesnt play then thats 4 pts wasted. He would have to score at least 1 to break even. I'm in 2 minds wether to just leave shawcross in

you should be ok for this week. Save the transfer and next week you can get Suarez out if he's banned and take O'Hara out.

Baines captain? Over Sturridge? All he needs is a cleansheet to match a single goal from sturridge? to risky?

Not at all. I'd say Everton have a great chance of a clean sheet and there is a good chance of him getting a goal being on set pieces.

A good dilemma to have. I always think captain defenders is too risky. But Norwich do love to concede a penalty.......... might be a winner this week, esp. with doubts over other skippers elsewhere.

some guy (who claims to have the inside track on this) told me today the real reason Drenthe has been missing for 3 weeks is because he took a swipe at Moyes. The ankle story , which lets be honest was a bit suspect, was just a cover

    anyone else heard this one?

If you needed to get a cheap defender who would you get looking at Evans or Simpson or should I be looking at someone else £4.5m or less?

I have Simpson and am going to buy Evans even as a rotation risk 4.4m for a Man U defender is a bargain and as long as you have decent bench the time he doesnt play you will have somebody coming in his place.
