Bonanza! With three of our five suggested bets coming in last week, and a fourth on Nani just a back-flip away from paying out, the “Fantasy Flutter” struck gold. After weeks of hitting bets and covering our stake, finally we’re starting to see some real profit. With the £25 return tucked in our back pocket, and Paddy posting up more markets, we shall see if the streak continues or whether our luck is pinched out…

This week Paddy deliver odds on some Flutter regulars, covering all positions on the pitch. Up first is our set-piece-taking, wing-hugging Everton flyer, Leighton Baines. For one of the priciest defenders around, Baines has provided only two goals, one assist and two clean sheets this season, whilst not missing a single minute of pitch-time. His poor individual haul reflects Everton’s uninspiring season to this point, but when the Toffees win, Baines is always in the mix for returns. Weekend opponents Norwich have been bashed around when on the road, and we feel that Baines looks good for some profit in a game of goals at Goodison. We’ll open up our tenner, with £2 on Baines to score from a dead-ball at 11/2.

Swansea’s performance in last week’s clash with Fulham made for good reading for all those (probably a lot of you) that had Michel Vorm in goal. But the comfortable 2-0 result perhaps failed to tell the full story. Although Fulham conceded, Leroy Lita and company never looked truly threatening going forward. Even taking into account their recent injuries, Newcastle seem a good bet to hold firm against the Swans at St James’ this weekend. Paddy have Scout Pick Ryan Taylor to keep a cleanie and Newcastle to win at 21/10; we’ll take that for £3 of our stake.

The Yak is back, and lining up a very favourable fixture at home to the Baggies. Although he had a quieter week, facing off against Martin O’Neil’s Sunderland, Yakubu is still very much on our radar. On the bench as prime budget option in the Scout Picks, we’ll back the Yak to score and Blackburn to win at 3/1 for a quid of our money.

Chelsea’s “number Juan” playmaker (sorry) is away to Roberto Martinez’s struggling Wigan side in the late kick-off on Saturday. Chelsea will be riding a wave of confidence after defeating league leaders Man City at the Bridge on Monday; the Latics look to there for the taking. Juan Mata to assist, and low scoring Wigan to keep off the score sheet, is a massive 6/1. Our £3 stake doesn’t seem quite enough on this, with value written all over it, but we need to save a nugget for our final flutter.

Our regular “who will score the most” market features last week’s winner Wayne Rooney once again, this time at the better price of 13/8. But we’re not going to take that. We’re not even going to take the fair price of 7/4 on Daniel Sturridge on the aforementioned potential goalfest at Wigan. No, in-fact, we’ll be placing our final pound on Demba Ba at 15/8 to hopefully rifle a few past visiting Vorm. Swansea’s fans may have maintained their match-long chant of “Michel Vorm m’lord, Michel Vorm” last weekend, but Ba looks well placed to silence the traveling Swans faithful at St James’ Park.

Paddy’s Money Back Specials

We may have steered clear of the City vs Arsenal clash with the Scout Picks, but Paddy have faced the weekend’s big encounter head-on. They’re offering a money back special, refunding all first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast single bets on the match, if Mario Balotelli or Robin Van Persie scores the last goal.

Sorry if it came off blunt, just not buying into the MON-love yet, if offensive success happens it will be in the Sess department and not the Larsson, though they do sort of go hand and hand. As many team push the panic-button and foul Sess in decent FK locales and Larsson does the business putting balls in. But I just don't see them scraping back like they did against a foolish Rovers side. Nor do I see them getting many corners of free kicks to warrant all the Larsson-love this week. That ship sailed against rovers and probably ain't coming back until next week against QPR. There will be goals...

Hey folks, Ive got 2 free transfers this game week and don't want to 'waste' the extra one, but can't see where to switch someone out!

The biggest one is having both VDV and Bale, but I really rate VDV this week (enough to captain him) so want to hold on. If he blanks, I'll remove him next week.

    Vorm (Westwood)
    Shawcross, Enrique, Evans
    Nani, VDV, Bale, Walters
    RVP, Aguero, Graham
    (Simpson, Kompany, Moses)

Fairly happy with the team. Thoughts on playing Simpson over Graham?

Which seems to be the best option:

    1) Aguero + Ramsey

    or

    2) Rooney + Eagles (or Jarvis) [4 point hit, 0.0 in the bank]

    or

    3) Rooney + Gower [4 point hit, 1.2 in the bank]

I just keep getting this awful feeling that Rooney is going to go absolutely crazy but at the same time worry that Aguero will find form again as well.

    Thoughts?

Well you know that O'Hara WILL NOT...dude make the trade, every scouser and his mama want Royston to play. And you're hand-wringing about if he will or not. Hell Bily isn't gonna get another chance. The left side is set, he (Moyes) has all of the hard decisions to make on the right, and with Cahill the toothless in AM. Surely Kos will see the pine for you..not big on Enrique 2pts...so it's gotta be Bad K, BAE and Evans in the back for you. Moses will be running in sand so the 4th MF spot is crucial. Why haven't you downgraded Given; theres gotta be 0.3 in there for you to play with as well. In the end, if you're skittish on Drenthe take a week punt on Song, he is a BAP magnet in games such as this and may draw a yellow or red out of a Yaya.

Can't disagree with you on any of the points, but Villa will score on Pool, it won't be pretty, but are any of Bents goals? Song is a definite punt (especially walking the tightrope w/ cards). Looks like Moses gets the start then...

    Aguero > Ba
    Ramsey > Sturridge

    4pt. hit.

Been thinking about this all week, but been hesitant since I have this feeling Aguero will deliver. Now with the Scout picks out and TotalFPL also having both Mata and Ba in their lineups I am leaning towards pressing the transfer button...

Driving me nuts! What ya reckon? really could use some input..

Hey guys, would love an RMT, this is my lineup for the weekend:

    Vorm
    Ward, Jones, Enrique
    Drenthe, Walters, VDV, Silva
    Ba, Adebayor, RVP

    Subs: Krul, Gower, Simpson Brown

    1. Got Ward playing at the moment, but really unsure who to go for between him and Simpson.

    2. Does my team as a whole look ok? If VDV doesn't perform this week, I will remove him for Nani. Also planning on getting rid of Ba for Sturridge in a few weeks.

Who would you play ahead of Drenthe? I could transfer him out, but already taken a 4 point hit.

I wouldn't double up on both United and Newcastle defenders. Sort that out soon, cos it may work in the short term, but it will hurt you later

Only the Creator Of The Universe makes the knowing of Swansea away victory!

Alain Delon - in God we trust

Steve McQueen - a name you can trust.

Pretty much. I do keep swapping the same 2 players in and out of my team every 2 seconds (Sessegnon & Enrique), but I always do that on a Friday night.

Just about-team is a bit further up the page.

Grew a pair and shifted out Silva for Mata-feels good.

Sess is 1st on my bench and playing both my Liverpool defenders.

I'd say that's a pretty decent move, at least for this week.

My heart is telling me to play Sessegnon, my head is telling me to play Enrique. I should probably put my Villa loyalty to one side and go with Enrique. I can't see Villa scoring.

FPL loyalty is one thing but your own club is another thing entirely. Don't know what I'm gonna be like next week when we (Chelsea) play Spurs and I have 3 Spurs players in my squad..... 🙁

I guess you just have to look at it in terms of whether Sess will score more at WHL than JE playing your boys....
