FPL Bonus – Gameweek Sixteen

The EA Sports Player Performance Index scores are out and the Fantasy Premier League have now updated their bonus points accordingly. Here’s how the bonus breaks down for gameweek sixteen, with more than a few surprises in store…

Please note, the Aguero assist for Silva’s goal was removed following review. It was adjudged that the City striker did not get a touch on Balotelli’s cross but that the Arsenal defender diverted it into David Silva’s pass. The assists awarded to Mario Balotelli which boosted his EA PPI and saw him claim the two, relegating Pablo Zabaleta back down to one.

    It annoys me that the person above me in my mini league captained silva this week, would have closed the gap considerably but now I've only caught him by a point :/ with the last goal of the gw as well!

      I'm going for Ba again. He was unlucky not to score at weekend and I'm backing him in an easy home fixture again. My other forwards are Rooney and RvP.

          I used to have Cabaye for about 6 or 7 weeks but he didn't do much in Fantasy terms.

      Oh that's a nice choice to have! Only got Ba and Baines out of those, and Ba will be mine.

      I'd probably say it's between Ba, Silva and RVP for you, all will probably score well.

      RVP away against a poor Villa side,
      Rooney on form as of late but away,
      Ba didnt score this week so due 1 🙂
      Silva form and fixture but there is alot of strikers who appeal,
      Baines, a brave mans choice.

      How much risk are you prepared to take? RVP hard to ignore cos so many others will captain him so a safe bet. I don't captain Silva cos he rarely gets double figures. Rooney and Baines are differentials but Baines is a big risk. He must make a score soon though. Some people talking about Verms too which is tempting

      Fulham away is tough, also Rooney could be deep with Hernandez up top.

      RVP against a currently shambolic Villa team who are low on confidence and making defensive errors.

      Baines could be hit and miss...just needs someone to get on the end of his crosses.

      I'd back Ba for at least one goal.

      Ba
      -up against a weak wba defence but i fear others are going to outscore him

      rvp
      -in form, against a vulnerable defence and the fact that many will captain him reduces the chances of a FAIL(a defensive way to look at the things though)

      rooney
      -fulham are very well organized and craven cottage is no goal-friendly stadium for a visiting team

      baines- the fact that they dont play up front reduces their chances of a VERY good week. unnecessary risks, both of them

    Closest competitor at only 103.

    Can now afford a really solid defence AND three top strikers, only midfield lacking a bit.

    A big relief that Mata and Nani both scored only three this GW, as people in my league have brought at least one of them in.

    To be fair, I'm probably only bitter as I brought in Howard instead of the Spurs keeper in forward planning for the DGW, though if Everton cannot keep clean sheets at home against Norwich and Swansea...

      No point mate. Keep the faith and hope Everton FINALLY keep a clean sheet at home to Swansea. Also Everton's fixtures to the DGW are not too bad, so I would simply save your transfer and bring in a Spurs defender (or another if you have one already) nearer GW20.

      Trust me, I'm just as annoyed at the moment for bringing in Howard as opposed to Friedel for Given...:-?

    Still plagued by injuries and doubtfuls. O'Hara out so I bring in Bale, who then duly didnt play. 😀

    Im 90% sure he'll play vs Chelsea but i have Gabbidon and Pilks to deal with as well. (Was going to move out Pilks until O'Hara became injured!) Injuries and rotation risks (who werent before) can easily build up like that if you're unlucky.
