The EA Sports Player Performance Index scores are out and the Fantasy Premier League have now updated their bonus points accordingly. Here’s how the bonus breaks down for gameweek sixteen, with more than a few surprises in store…

Aston Villa 0 Liverpool 2
Skrtel 3, Bellamy 2, Johnson 1

Man City 1 Arsenal 0
Silva 3, Balotelli 2, Zabaleta 1

Please note, the Aguero assist for Silva’s goal was removed following review. It was adjudged that the City striker did not get a touch on Balotelli’s cross but that the Arsenal defender diverted it into David Silva’s pass. The assists awarded to Mario Balotelli which boosted his EA PPI and saw him claim the two, relegating Pablo Zabaleta back down to one.

QPR 0 Man United 2
Carrick 3, Valencia 2, Rooney & Welbeck 1

Tottenham 1 Sunderland 0
Adebayor & Friedel 3, Van der Vaart 1

Blackburn 1 West Brom 2
Brunt 3, Morrison 2, Reid 1

Everton 1 Norwich 1
Osman 3, Holt 2, Martin 1

Fulham 2 Bolton 0
Ruiz 3, Dempsey 2, Murphy 1

Newcastle 0 Swansea 0
Williams & Santon 3, N Taylor 1

Wigan 1 Chelsea 1
Sturridge 3, Gomez 2, Cole & Figueroa 1

Wolves 1 Stoke 2
Etherington 3, Crouch 2, Hunt 1

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Going with no United attacking cover and no Chelsea cover at all once again this GW, what do people reckon?

    I can't see United running riot at the Cottage, they do tend to find it tough there?

        Yeah, this one's really difficult to call. I think Fulham are perhaps more likely to keep it tight at the back than ManU are to run riot.

        Valencia's looking increasingly attractive though.

      I'd only really be worried about Rooney. Not so much anyone else in the Man Utd team. If anyone's gonna run riot it will probably be him.

      I don't have him and I doubt I'll have him any time soon, until RVP gets injured.

      Yeah the Fulham game will be alot tougher than the breeze @ QPR yesterday. Tight game so not essential to have Man U in until the week after. And apart from Sturridge Chelsea players are overpriced and overrated. I think Spurs will win that.

    Anyone think Bale will play this week? Thinking of doing:
    A) Bale and Dyer to Mata and Jarvis

    B) Dyer to Drenthe and save a transfer. Which sounds better?

    Current team:

    Vorm/Ruddy
    Jones Enrique Simpson Naylor Gabbidon
    Silva Bale VDV Walters Dyer
    RVP Ba Ade

      Waste of a transfer, they'll score relatively similar until ACON, and you'll be left guessing at who will get more points. Both are guaranteed starters so just stick, and save transfers for injuries/rotations.

      Na probably worth a go/ Sturridge is always a goal threat but surely Ba can make up for Sat and bag a couple. Maybe a repeat of Newcastle 4 West Brom 4 would suit you with Ba running riot. Altough I have Simpson so I hope not. Settle for 4 nil to Newcastle.

    Happy to keep Vorm for now.

    Vorm (Ruddy)
    Smalling Simpson Kompany (Hibbert, Brown)
    Silva VDV Larsson Drenthe (Ramsey)
    RVP(c) Ade Sturridge (0.5m in bank)

    Ramsey and Brown are top of my list to go, but can't think of anyone to bring in for Ramsey?

    Swansea - for how long do we reckong Caulkner will keep his place? Is he only in in place of the injured Rangel?

    Am getting to the limit of my budget if I'm gonna bring in Sturridge for Ba next week or the week after (Sturridge is rising a bit too fast for my liking.)

    I could use one FT to cover my bases with getting Caulkner in for Wilkinson before they both rise / fall repsectively. Don't like using an FT on a cheapie defender but would rather do it than be 0.1 short for Sturridge when the time comes.

      Morning,

      It's hard to know to be honest, I can see Vuckic coming in for him and that'd probably be the popular choice given that the alternative is perhaps A. Smith or playing a winger (Gutierrez?) in CM.

      To be honest, I'd like to think that with WBA we'll be on the offensive for the majority of the game anyway and that we'll create chances.

      The squad is being severely tested at the moment but Demba Ba looked so sharp against Swansea despite not scoring, so he's not a bad option. I'll probably be giving the armband to RVP.

      Agreed on the interest factor.

      As a Drenthe owner I like to think that reading between the lines he will start at home and be on the bench away. The fact I have Etherington and Stokes home fixtures rotate with Evertons through mid January is entirely by design.

      Interesting stuff Demi, thanks. My view (for what it's worth) Moyes would rather try to not lose a game than win one. I appreciate you need players who can tackle back and stop opponents playing. That shouldn't mean you need your whole team to do that, otherwise it's almost impossible to mount swift counter attacks.

          save the freebie this week. Next week downgrade ba (as he has some tough fixtures and afcon coming up) and use the cash to get bale/vdv

    Which options guys?

    A - Mata ---> Drenthe
    B - Silva ----> Drenthe
    C - Nani ----> Drenthe
    D - VDV ----> Drenthe

    Allows me Yak - Adebeyor

    For GW 18, not this GW

      Not worth bringing in Nani this week, imo. Maybe switch Ade for Ba this week, and then Wlacott/Bale to Nani next week?

    I would lose Mata out of those 4. Drenthe looks quality when he plays, Chelsea are up and down and you want Ade for the good games coming up. Makes sense

    Scott Dann out for 6 weeks. Will try and make sure I've got at least 1 player playing against them every week!

    Sczcesny is my keeper and he has been doing well for me lately with good fixtures coming up. Do I stick with him or go slightly cheap and get Friedel??

    repost:
    krul

    naylor,jones,X(one of the 3 defs on the bench)

    brunt,VDV,silva,walters

    aguero,RVP,Ba

    subs: vorm,brown,ward,BAE,fergie
    0.1 in the bench(1 freebie)

    was all set to do brunt>drenthe but starting to think that saving a freebie is vital before christmas. do i need to make any changes(or even take a hit) this week?

    p.s: find(pick) x, thank you
