The first midweek Gameweek of the season starts with two games where Premier League survival is the ultimate goal. There’s still an hour before the Gameweek 17 deadline, but the Dugout Discussion swings it’s doors open nice and early for tonight’s games…

Relatively high-flying Norwich travel to Molineux to face a Wolves side perilously close to the relegation zone. Although there’s an eight place gulf between the sides, anything but a home win against Norwich – who will be viewed as eventual fellow candidates for the drop – would constitute as a failure.

Mid-December is normally too soon for clubs struggling for points to begin to worry but, for Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers, a loss tonight would ensure mass hysteria. To say both managers’ jobs are on the line pending this game’s outcome, might not be that far off the mark.

That bottom-off-the-table scrap at Ewood Park is the televised game tonight, but you can follow all of the action in our Dugout Discussion chatroom.

yeah I brought in Shelvey too. not sure I should start him for Bale. Apparently gona be rotated. didnt see him against Villa so dont know how influential he was. Meant to be very good though.

a bit too much riding on Livpool then though no?

Had Silva captain, but post Mancinis rotation threat gave the armband to Ba.

Confused again, as no Cabaye for Newc reduces Ba supply significantly. And I so dont want to captain RVP:(

I have a feeling both Ba and Silva will do better, and I dont think Villa are as terrible at home as most people consider them to be.

Plus, makes it so much more interesting:) BTW, i was burnt post captaining Ba last gw

I was confident about Silva playing too, but Mancini said in the press conference 3-4 changes. Makes his position a serious threat.

If you look at City's lineup from last game it's entirely possible there could be 4 changes and none of them would be Silva. I'm worried too, though.

    Guys, two options:

    1) Mata, Brown > Drenthe, Vermaelen
    2) Dyer, Shawcross > Drenthe, Evans

Current def: JE, BAE, ShawX, Brown, Simpson
Current mid: Nani, VDV, Mata, Bale, Dyer

Option 1 provides me with a def who is bound to score yet another goal in few weeks time and with 2 mil in the bank.
Option 2 gives me 5 great mids but also a def who is rotation prone.

    So which is it?
