After last night’s double dose of Premier League action, Wednesday brings us no fewer than seven games to enjoy. The Dugout Discussion is open for business and is the perfect place to follow all the action as it unfolds…

The race for Christmas number one will be decided tonight, with league leaders Manchester City just needing a point at home to Stoke City to maintain their position at the top over the festive period. Any slip-up and city rivals Manchester United will be looking to pounce, as they visit the capital to face Fulham.

Setting their sights slightly lower are Champions League spot contenders Arsenal and Liverpool, who are both on the road tonight. The Gunners visit Villa Park and The Reds travel to the DW Stadium.

Elsewhere, the other team in Merseyside host Swansea at Goodison Park, Newcastle United welcome the visit of Roy Hodgson’s West Brom, and Sunderland make the long trip down to Loftus Road to play QPR.

      I can't see your team but I would not of that, although Nani will do well. I just would rather hang on to DVD. Could you afford Jones to Caulker, Shotton etc and Yak to Hernandez>

    Something to perhaps think about before investing in Rooney (particularly if you're not captaining) is that I sold Aguero a few weeks ago, and although I look ruefully at his haul tonight, his sale facilitated a move for Ba and Nani. What, I'm saying is perhaps it's better to be with 2 very good players rather than an Aguero/Rooney and a Gower in MF. Just a thought.

    With Al-Habsi & Brown benched & bottling capt Nani over RVP, I'm gutted. With 54pts pre-BPs but nothing compared to what i could have had.

    Chances of Sturridge not playing so Brown steps in? Pretty slim at best I'd say 🙁

        I'm sick of people not understanding where Sturridge plays!!!!! He plays RW, Torres is a striker, if anyone plays instead of Sturridge it will be Kalou, if Torres plays it will be in place of Drogba, jesus christ... 🙄 Dont mention that you said it wont happen, you thought Torres was the alternative. Don't deny it.
