After last night’s double dose of Premier League action, Wednesday brings us no fewer than seven games to enjoy. The Dugout Discussion is open for business and is the perfect place to follow all the action as it unfolds…

The race for Christmas number one will be decided tonight, with league leaders Manchester City just needing a point at home to Stoke City to maintain their position at the top over the festive period. Any slip-up and city rivals Manchester United will be looking to pounce, as they visit the capital to face Fulham.

Setting their sights slightly lower are Champions League spot contenders Arsenal and Liverpool, who are both on the road tonight. The Gunners visit Villa Park and The Reds travel to the DW Stadium.

Elsewhere, the other team in Merseyside host Swansea at Goodison Park, Newcastle United welcome the visit of Roy Hodgson’s West Brom, and Sunderland make the long trip down to Loftus Road to play QPR.

      Ba is outscoring Rooney (or at least getting close every week) and Tiote will get you 1-2 points almost every week..

        hmmm maybe. United look very solid at the moment imo but i suppose the inuries may start to take their toll. 4-0 seems a fairly standard prediction

          I can do Jones + Ade --->Rooney + Kompany/Evans for my FTs if Jones out. Cant say I really want to get rid of Ade before norwich and DGW so may have just Nani for GW18+19.

    My conclusions from the GW:

    After an impressive draw with Chelsea and a decent one against Liverpool, Wigan are now good at home and might even put a fight up against United next GW.
    Both United and City are locked back into early season uber attack mode, invest!
    Fulham remain too inconsistent to invest in, even for cheap defenders - don't touch 3.9 Kelly for now.
    They were away and playing the leaders but Stoke's defending was so bad it makes me reconsider whether to bring Shotton in.
    The best-case situation for Jones returning is way too far away and there are too many pressing mids, sell!
    The Newcastle defence good times are permanently over, Swansea didn't score against them last week because they can't, but West Brom and Norwich have both scored 3. Sell!

    Thought my 44 would be enough for a small green arrow, I suppose too many of the usual suspects scored today 🙁

    Also worried that I'm getting a serious list of doubts/injuries - now Jones, N Taylor, Dyer, Bale and Ade all yellow, injured or potentially injured. Will have to use my two free transfers wisely or I'm fooked.

    Constantly thinking of ways of getting Nani and still getting good Spurs players for the double will make my holidays shit. Merry christmas.
