And so it begins. Chelsea get the ball rolling on the gameweek, having shifted their Boxing Day fixture to a handy 1pm kick-off, we have little time to wait for our first action. The Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open to capture your views on this, and all today’s matches.

The team sheets from the early game are in, and is as follows…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Bosingwa, David Luiz, Terry, Cole, Meireles, Romeu, Lampard, Sturridge, Torres, Mata.

Fulham XI: Kelly, Senderos, Hangeland, JA Riise, Murphy, Frei, Dembélé, Ruiz, Dempsey, Sa.

So, the headline for the home team is that Fernando Torres gets a rare start at the expense of Didier Drogba. For the visitors there’s no Zamora or Johnson in the matchday squad.

The Stamford Bridge clash with Fulham is followed by a string of three o’clock encounters, at Bolton, Liverpool, United, Sunderland and West Brom. Our evening attractions are then provided by Stoke at the Britannia, as they look to inflict more damage on Alex McLeish’s struggling Villa outfit.

A Boxing Day blowout, leading us nicely into tomorrow’s three matches. There’s no letting up.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Going on holiday for 4 days so need to do next gameweeks transfers now

    This is my current team

    Vorm
    Enrique Evans Woodgate
    Silva Sinclair Walters Nani(vc)
    Adebayor RVP(c) Sturridge

    Subs: Kenny, Drenthe, Kompany, Simpson

I have 2 free transfers and 0.6 in the bank

    1) Should I start Drenthe over Simpson?

    2) Not wanting to waste a free transfer, how would you use a transfer to improve the squad?

    Any help much appreciated

Bosingwa is the worst full-back in the PL. Skinny little runnt! He has no awareness of what's around him. Garbage footballer. And Luiz charges about like a firework. Just kicks anything that moves. And Petr 'Helmet' Cech hasn't been the same since the head knock. No confidence or bravery anymor. They need Cahill and a new keeper.

Agreed. He almost never gets knocked off the ball or gives it up when dribbling. Seems like it should be more of an asset in terms of offensive output

    for those not watching
fulham have 11 men behind the ball. and chelsea arent pressing either.
when chelsea attack its chelseas 6 men versus fulhams 11, with chelseas defence choosing to stay back. and bosingwas crosses are hopeless. 0-0 at HT written all over it

Real boring game, Chelsea being so wasteful, bad wingplay and crosses. Also want to reiterate the feelings of annoyance at taking vdv out, he had a bad game last week but that might have been due to the cramp but he was playing in an odd position. He really could come back to bite us today. Only dropped .1 as well, I'm going to be pissed if he does something
