    Tuned in to the tottenham game just before bale's second goal, how did vdv play?

    At a bit of a crossroads, not sure whether to bring in vdv or a tot defender for double game week, any input greatly appreciated

      Very average. Did not look like his old greedy self. His corners were poor and he was not on all set pieces. I am in the same boat as you and am trying to decide between Spurs defender and VDV. Leaning towards a defender.

        as am I, especially after what you said. Sounds like he just frickin wants to play more than he wants to get fully fit (and THEN play WELL!) Tottenham seem more likely than everton to keep cleanies atm... and I suppose keeping out norwich at home is no small feat. How'd tot look at the back?

    My mini league leader took a 4pt hit to bring in bale. And he benched him. Still he will outscore me this GW and will be over 90pts ahead of 2nd. Sir chins of uppington to me and him.

    Transfer Given and Evans out for Sorenson and BAE? 4 point hit.

    Have to do it this week or else I wont be able to afford in and wont be able to get BAE in for the DGW.

    Alternatively I could just get hibbert and no hit?

      I'm skeptical of bringing in everton players as I'm sure you are... It would be a gamble for sure. I guess the hit will depend on how confident you are in stokes cs against wig and blackburn... hard call, I'll vote for bae and sorenson, I'd expect those 2 even with -4pts will outscore vorm and hibbert over next 2 weeks

    ok this is awful, I'm going away on Thursday and have no idea if I'll have internet access to do my team. Have pretty much got it sorted for NYE+NYD no transfers and this team

    Vorm

    McAuley, Jones, BAE

    Bale, Silva, Valencia, Nani (c)

    Ba, Sturridge, RvP (vc)

    Subs: Westwood, Tiote, Raylor, Brown

    But I need to know of BAE is injured and then have to hope I have internet access somewhere in the hotel so I can use my 2 frees in time for DGW.

    I have no idea what I should do for my team next week. Got Vorm in goal again TOT, with Given as a backup. My Def is Jones/Enrique/N Taylor/Simpson/Barnett(who apparently never starts.. need to kick this budget loser to the curb). My mid is decent with Walters/Ramsey/Bale/Silva/Dyer and feel good up front with Ade/RVP/Ba. I wanted to use this GW transfer to do something with Ramsey, but thinking of swapping out Given for a new GK for the week (maybe Ruddy? Al-habisi?) or clean up that backline with bringing in someone decent other than Barnett to fill in N Taylor and Simpsons spot for the week as I'm not feeling real good about playing against Liverpool or Spurs.

    Thoughts?

      I got Stockdale in and took Krul out if that's any help to you. I have stockdale and Vorm as my two rotating keepers now.

      If the player you're transferring in scores the same as the player you transferred out you would need your new player to score 4 points in the extra game just to break even. Having said that theres lots of things to take into account like if you want to do that transfer anyway its worth it as it may well pay for itself

        I also brought him in for Jones... never again. he is such a good price for a Utd defender though. Think I will tansfer him out and get Clichy in for a few weeks....

        Gonna have to go without a Utd defender for a while though if i do this but surely the clean sheets will dry up with all their defensive injuries, surely!

      No Ba, the best value striker and fpl player atm, Chelsea fan without Sturridge, no Bale in midfield, no Silva, Nani was brought this week as I remember. Unorthodox defense too. Well something like when Ronaldo got really fat and thought that he could still play football at highest level. Well he scored here and there, now and then, but he never got a good season again.
