I actually enjoyed his sub appearance, it was a quick reminder to Mancini that he should always start Silva. He had a couple of a nice chances, runs and, of course, passes.
Maybe for points he wasn't enjoyable, but as always, he plays fantastic football. On that alone, I couldn't drop him.
and wasn't it his shot that micah richard's rebound hit the bar from, which would have won the game and given silva an assist? yeah I would be very worried every week without silva in the squad

The best case you could make against VDV is that he's the most fragile of the 3. Hard to predict injuries but I'm sure most would put their money on him to tweak his hamstring before the others picked up a knock.
I honestly believe you can't go wrong with any of the 3 for the DGW. I'm sure we'll all look back with regret depending on who gets the armband but each should perform well enough to leave you pleased.
I know his fragility is whats annoying me, do spurs have an FA cup game in between the two league games?
Based on my estimate that he'll get 130 mins to Bale's 170 but with 0.08 points per minute to Bale's 0.068, predicted points are:

I just have one of those feelings! He's had a bit of a barren spell, he has just scored and I think he could go on a run! You are right Bale is the safe bet though.
Would you rather play Larsson against Wigan and hope that Sturridge plays (if not Dyer comes in), or take a 4 points hit to get Osman for Dyer and bench Larsson. At least when Sturridge doesn't make it there's still Larsson.

Yes. I hold my hands up, last week I was arguing 4 was the absolute max worth taking. But I looked a bit deeper after seeing interest in 5 or 6 and saw Osman and Baines were credible options points-wise with Everton CS improving too. Gone BAE Bale Ade Baines Osman Drenthe - the latter being a gamble.

I think the only defenders potentially worth taking a hit for this week would be BAE, Walker or Baines, and you can't get any of them. That said, no bench is pretty scary, especially with doubts over Drenthe. Hmmm, I'd still probably leave it...

I did Vermaelen > Hibbert, subbing off Caulker, taking a 4 point hit. Vermaelen is off for a few weeks and has a high price tag, no sense in keeping him.
My midfield is Drenthe, Donovan, Bale and VDV...now that's what i call overkill 😉
How essential is Baines?
Because I have 2 free transfers, and can just do Nani to VDV and Brown to Hibbert.
But if I want Baines it involves taking a 4pt hit and either losing Rooney or both Jones and Richards...
