Just a quick reminder to those competing in the Paddy Power Cup V – Round of 16 that the Quarter-Finals will take place over Gameweek 21, and not Gameweek 20, the deadline for which is tomorrow.

The Last 16 results will be published later in the week, along with the all-important Quarter-Final fixtures.

    Howard (westwood)
    Shotton Walker Jones (evans, bardsley)
Silva, Nani, Walters, Drenthe (ben arfa)
    Sturridge, RVP, Adebayor.

    2FT, 0.3 in the bank.

Need some help guys, planning to make a few changes. Dont know who to remove
evans - injured but i think he will be back after the FA cup
bardsley - sunderland have a good fixture list coming up
Ben arfa - once ba goes to afcon, arfa will play up front
Silva - dont want to remove him but will have to bring in bale.

    thoughts?:)

That opinion wasn overall impression, not fantasy-wise 'philosophy. 'Well yeah, according to last season tho, this season I find him(Bale) really great. Guess I'm not adjusting with time well - Bale 42 apps 11 goals + few assists. Walcott 38 apps 13 goals, around 10 assists. Bale was last season all over the headlines, while walcott rather being blamed. Mustn't forget that last season arsenal had a great creative team so he had more chances to be resultative. I think that is the case this season with Bale. Still can't see spurs sticking to their form this season tho. If I had to chose one of both, I would pick Theo.

I'm not saying Fantasy wise, Bale is a better play regardless of last years stats or whatever, I don't even think it is up for discussion.
I like having Walcott at Arsenal and he is improving and coming along very well, but if in some upside down world there was an opportunity to switch with Bale, I think almost everybody would do it. They are the same age, and Bale is already far above as a football player, aswell as the fact Bale can play all up the left wing and as shown in the last few weeks, can also play well centrally.
Walcott's missed opportunity the other day sums up the player he is at the moment.

I must agree but my gooner spirit says it is short term success for Bale. Actually my real point was that Walcott last year just way better and way less talked about than Gareth.

as soon as everton team sheet came out, i immediately wondered if i should start moses over drenthe for gw20. Now he's in the scout picks. Now Sturridge is a doubt. So what do I do?

Trust me, I dont' know. Benched Vorm and played Krul. Benched moses played Drenthe. Benched Jagielka, played Kelly. Im CLEARLY an idiot. SO someone/everyone please throw me a bone here, ok?

    Vorm(Krull)

    BAE, Jagielka, Kompany

    Bale, Nani, Silva, Drenthe

    Adebayor(C), RVP, Sturridge

(Moses, Enrique, Kelly) Who drops for Moses? Anyone?

          You'd think so.
Seeing as he is apparently injured, surely they wouldn't bring him on for 20 minutes?
He is either fit enough to start or not fit enough at all I think.

              Haha, yeah it looks good.
You'd be mad to bench Drenthe when he has a DGW, but then again will he even play both games? 😕
I am tempted to put Moses in for Sturridge in case of a cameo performance, but surely he won't come off the bench if not fit enough, and even if he does, he's shown he can score off the bench anyway.

is it a dgw for drenthe when I cant find any news on why he couldnt even make the bench today? If he's hurt, he may not play bolton or only get subbed on. then away to spurs he could very well not start or not play at all. It could be 1 or 2 points from drenthe!!!

Yeah, after those comments from Moyes about Drenthe not being favoured in tough away games, he may very well not even play against Spurs either, hmm.
Tough decision, glad I don't have to make it 😉

Bought in VDV and captained him. Seems back on form and even in two 60 minute performances is capable of nabbing 10+ pt hauls in each. Also have Ade, Bale & Drenthe so looking forward to a points fest to help me celebrate the Giants win getting them into the playoffs as NFC East Champions 🙂

And Eli is just being Eli. Seem him play a lot of games in person and he's just getting better with age. The game comes so easily to him. Eli, Cruz & Nicks dominated. And Nicks not only scored at the end he threw key blocks on the 3 other TD's! Pass rush is primed ready for an assault on Matt Ryan. I think we're gonna win that game too!

nice to see nfl fans around. been playing fantasy NFL since the 90s. Heartbreak this year. In playoffs, semifinals, if i win i cash regardless of finals. was the highest scoring team during the season. lost. then today for the finals, in my meaningless consolation game, I score 184 points. 25 more points than any other week of the season for me, and again i had the highest scoring team. Needless to say, I am gutted. Thankful for for FPL cup win to ease the pain.

It's possible, but Rooney might not even play altogether

Roo has been rested for two full games now, I just think he worth the risk this week, I have full intention of swaping Ade back for who ever i swap out after this GW

He wasn't rested, if he was rested he'd have been on the bench, no?
Well surely you'd lose more money by ditching and then getting RVP back in.

If Ireland can get on the field - and stay on it - for another game playing like that anyone think he's NOT worth a punt for a few weeks given their schedule? He was fantasy gold in 08/09 but that seems such a long time ago now...

Also strongly considering Albrighton to replace either Drenthe or Etherington next week (£600k in bank).

There's a few thoughts around - one going around earlier was that he couldn't play new years day - another is moyes doesn't like him playing away games - another is he's injured - take your pick or add one if you like.

Both will concede. But at least vorm has a chance of a pen save. Put it this way. Norwich will conceded almost every game. The only time you should play Ruddy is when vorm plays against bigger teams away.

sturridge imo. risk on not even playing and a serious dip in chelsea form, and i dont see it returning unless the pick up some serious transfers. drenthe has 2 opportunites to come on and score. 1 goal will be enough for me!

Think putting him in as a first sub is the best case scenario for you. Sturridge is playing against Wolves so if he plays i think he will rake in more points than Moses. Also S'land held City blank last time around.

But if Stu doesn't play, then Moses comes in as the best possible sub for Stu. So win-win i assume
