Just a quick reminder to those competing in the Paddy Power Cup V – Round of 16 that the Quarter-Finals will take place over Gameweek 21, and not Gameweek 20, the deadline for which is tomorrow.

The Last 16 results will be published later in the week, along with the all-important Quarter-Final fixtures.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

    My team is cutting up badly. In bold are doubts/are definitely out/don't play.

    EVANS/VERM/BROWN/Enrique/Simpson
    ETHERS/Silva/Nani/Bale/FERGUSON
    Ba/Rvp/Ade

    Suggestions:

    a: Verm > Baines & Enrique > BAE (4 pointer - this was my original plan until further doubts arose )
    b: Verm > Jags/Hibbert; Brown > BAE; Ethers > Osman (8 pointer)
    c: Just Verm > Jags/Hibbert & Brown > BAE (4 pointer).
    d: Another combo for 4 or 8 points.

    A bit worried about doubling up on Swansea at the back in an away game so is it advisable to hedge my bets and play Sorensen even if he is against free scoring Blackburn. Also does my sub order look okay? I used my free transfer this week to get BAE in for Smalling, and will hope VDV does a hammy or something. Any Everton players worth getting in for a hit, personally can't see anyone i want to sell for another Evertonian.

    Thoughts appreciated.

      I have a very similar line up for this week although looks like i'll have to play Enrique and Jones despite their tough away games. I'm not getting any (more) Everton players, just have the non-starting Royston at the moment like you.

      I'd start Walters ahead of Drenthe. Walters may not start, but if he does it's Blackburn post OT. Teams tend to do badly after they beat ManU*.

      Larsson will play though won't he? If he does then that's a possible 2 points or more, so Osman would need to do something to justify the hit.

      It also then means you've got Osman in your team rather than Larsson, which isn't ideal.

      Both are questionable inclusions at present - for a gamble yes; but VDV isn't getting the 90 minutes and you just never know when he is going to 'tweak' his hamstring next.
