Welcome to a brand new year at Fantasy Football Scout. Hope you all have a happy one.

Now you’ve disposed of your empty cans and pizzas boxes into a black bag, you can settle into your lazyboy and spend the afternoon shouting at your TV screen. We have two games: West Brom entertain Everton and Sunderland welcome Man City to the Stadium of Light.

The teams are in for the opening game, with the main talking point, the omission of Royston Drenthe. It seems there’s not even a place for him on the bench, with Jack Rodwell returning to the Everton lineup.

WBA: Foster; Jones, McAuley, Dawson, Shorey; Thomas, Scharner, Morrison, Brunt; Long, Odemwingie.

Everton: Howard, Hibbert, Distin, Jagielka, Baines, Heitinga, Neville, Rodwell, Osman, Cahill, Saha.

      Nani or Silva out for Osman? Well looks like Silva is gonna play the next home fixtures against Liv and Tot where City are great and there is Wigan away. Nani has New and Ars away mixed with home game against Bol. What do we think?

          You can't give a reason for choosing Nani over Silva, by saying Nani's nailed on. Silva's played more minutes aswell..

          I'm considering the same. Either Walters or Nani out for Osman ...Nani has let me down so needs punishing...but will be punish me harder?

          Am thinking Verm and Nani out for Baines and Valencia though...and ignoring Osman and the so called everton attacking threat.

      Johnson was in the starting 11 of a Top 10 team.
      Moses could be more consistent with his 2s or 10s.
      VDV's hammy wasn't as slippery as an eel.

      Is caulker likely to play? If not I have the funds to do verm to baines for a 4point hit...worth a shot considering I'm using the wildcard straight after the gameweek begins so I can sort the mess in my team out!
