I'd highly doubt Ade will be on pens when VDV is on the pitch, just a one-timer because of the hamstring imo.

Sound reasoning? Adebayor doesn't score as well in tandem with VDV being more the set up man more often than the goal scorer. Bale on the other hand doesn't seem to care who plays. If you dont have VDV heading into a DGW- and right now only 7.7% of all FPL Mgr's do - you go with Bale.

Bringing in VDV is a huge risk compared to say Bale or Ade. Im steering well clear.
Looking at fixtures and the option of a WC this is the easiest DGW to decide on having 5 or 6 players Ive seen in a while. Ive got 5 – Baines, Osman, BAE, Bale and Ade and no hits to get them. We shall see……cue huge anti-climax….Open Controls

Well Ade is pens is not 100%. I fancy a confident VDV to take them. Ade has a tendency to miss a lot, potential 2pointers.
Bale involved in almost everything and arguebly more nailed for full 90min matches than ade.

Ade is not on penalties. When VDV was on the pitch he wasn't feeling right and Ade and Defore were discussing who to take it. It was mentioned in the podcast too. Like Drogs took the penalty against Tot last year when Lamps was back from injury, Cesc injured his hamstring when scoring from penalty last year too. Its not easy when you are back from injury to take them.
Conclusion: VDV is still main penalty taker in Tot.Open Controls-

Vermaelen to Jags worth a 4 point hit? Have 3 Spurs, can't afford Baines. Transferring an injured defender for one that will play twice (even though one is Spurs away) is worth a hit right? Also frees up some cash for the next few weeks if I can manage not using the wildcard until the last chance.

Good point, he probably isn't worth the price difference. However, the Verm to Jags transfer is going to leave me with 2m in the bank anyway so money isn't tight. Think I'm willing to spend the extra on Jags since there's a chance of him scoring and I'll be selling him in a couple of games anyway.
