It seems like only yesterday. In truth, it almost was. Another Matchday Surgery chatroom opens up to collect our desperate cries for help and a smattering of smugness, ahead of yet another gameweek deadline…

The double gameweek creates new puzzles of course. Hopefully we’ve helped to unravel some of the dilemmas via our usual “Scouting the Doubles” articles. The Scout Picks are also up and available, while the Captain Poll is now concluded with Tottenham’s assets reigning supreme. Aside from all this, we’ve worked tirelessly to collect all the team news and collate that for you in the Team News section. Go figure.

Plenty to ponder then. Plenty to question and discuss in the Matchday Surgery prior to 11.30.

    What are we doing with Sturridge then?

    Was on the brink of transferring him out for Agbonlahor for a 4 pointer last night but managed to control my jerking knee, still none the wiser this morning however.

        It doesn't worry me too much. Spurs are desperate to be back in the Champions League and Harry has always played his first XI in the Premiership, preferring to rest the key players when the Europa League came round.

        In the FA Cup this weekend Spurs will be playing Cheltenham and I believe this is where Harry will rotate the squad and you'll see the likes of Adebayor, VDV and/or Bale benched or rested.

        Put it this way, I've just activated my wildcard (the one I've had all season, not the January one) and put in BAE, Bale (VC) and Adebayor (C). I'm confident they will all feature vs WBA and Everton.

            Bench one of Studge, Moses and Sess. The latter two are on form and not injured but playing each other whilst Sturridge plays for a team (usually) more likely to score goals? At the moment Studge is benched anyone care to convince me otherwise??

            Blimey I have 3 players doubtful: Walters, Sturridge, Brown.

            Anyone in a similar position and what are you doing? Transferring any of Walters/Sturridge out?

            I could do Walters > Donovan for a hit.
