It seems like only yesterday. In truth, it almost was. Another Matchday Surgery chatroom opens up to collect our desperate cries for help and a smattering of smugness, ahead of yet another gameweek deadline…

The double gameweek creates new puzzles of course. Hopefully we’ve helped to unravel some of the dilemmas via our usual “Scouting the Doubles” articles. The Scout Picks are also up and available, while the Captain Poll is now concluded with Tottenham’s assets reigning supreme. Aside from all this, we’ve worked tirelessly to collect all the team news and collate that for you in the Team News section. Go figure.

Plenty to ponder then. Plenty to question and discuss in the Matchday Surgery prior to 11.30.

          Helgusson has been scoring for fun and Jamie Mackie has looked dangerous as well. I think you're also missing the fact that Macheda has a long long way to go before he can be considered a good premier league player.

          Most of his appearances will come from the bench imo.

    I am thinking of bringing in either SAMBA or HIBBERT for Evans?

    But now sturridge is a doubt I'm thinking of him out for yakubu?

    I play a different fantasy game to you guys where points are awarded just for playing. What do we think about marouane fellaini's chances of playing in both games this DGW? I have concerns he won't feature at all on Wednesday but read Moyes said there was a chance.

    Well lads I am going big. The injuries at my back line forced me to it. 6 players. Villa and Bla after for Eve and Tot have home game against Wolves. So I think the risk is worth to do it. Stranger things happened in the past in the double GW's. Bale captain also.

        I just have a feeling about Ade this GW and think he will grab a couple of goals and should hopefully be on penalties.

        espite that I think Bale is the safer choice.

      Fergie should send Michael Owen out on a loan. That guy sits at home, does his horse- racing stuff, talks about darts on twitter all day long and picks up his 50k/week for doing nothing. N he hasn't done anything of note for ages. I think he won't even like going out on loan as he'll have to play every week then.

        I have had Cahill for awhile. I got Ireland in just now. He will increase in price for next 2 gws. Really stuffed up my midfield this season & suffering in rank due to it. No thanks to Ramires. I even had Lampard, shows how much I am into it.

          That's why I was thinking Ireland due to his price and decent fixtures. Cahill is also cheapish with an extra game. If you didn't already have Cahill which would you pick? My season has been less than great but improving. Did you notice league up to 3rd

            I left a message in the managers box. I really have'nt helped this season.

            Ireland = good player with confidence, rising value
            Cahill = due a goal, extra game, always an injury risk.

            I think Cahill may outscore him in the short term if Everton can keep a clean sheet or 2.
            Ramires comes a distant 3rd.

          This is my first season in Sportal. I just want to say that the price rise is way too unpredictable. It's all about getting the right player at the right time. If a boat is missed, then it might take two transfers to get in the player. Tough.

            Price rises/drops are very predictable. It goes off a rolling 3 game average. Once a player score well i.e. Ireland, he will get 3 rises, he already recieved his 1st, you can get 2 weeks of rises now. Someone like Nani will drop heaps due to his 2 recent failures. Should drop 2 mil at least after the next round. I actually sold him tonight.

                Same trade. My midfield has been terrible this season in Sportal. Been taking punts all season. Should have stuck to the usual suspects. You can see likely prices changes on the Sportal forum.

            Yes. But atleast you only have to check weekly. Price rises and drops are predictable and happen immediately after a GW.

              Also reserves getting no points is a major change. Didn't even have a keeper last week in either side as I had De Gea in both & my reserve keeper didn't autosub. ðŸ™
