It seems like only yesterday. In truth, it almost was. Another Matchday Surgery chatroom opens up to collect our desperate cries for help and a smattering of smugness, ahead of yet another gameweek deadline…

The double gameweek creates new puzzles of course. Hopefully we’ve helped to unravel some of the dilemmas via our usual “Scouting the Doubles” articles. The Scout Picks are also up and available, while the Captain Poll is now concluded with Tottenham’s assets reigning supreme. Aside from all this, we’ve worked tirelessly to collect all the team news and collate that for you in the Team News section. Go figure.

Plenty to ponder then. Plenty to question and discuss in the Matchday Surgery prior to 11.30.

    Those with Ade, Bale and no VDV....who are you captaining and why?

    I am going Ade. My rationale is that I want my cpt to "do something" in at least one of the two games. Defining "doing something" as a goal / assist, Ade has done something in 11 out of 16 games this year, Bale 8 out of 17 games.

      on the flip side, Bale is white hot, involved in 99% of attacks and in a free role plus 100% nailed on for both games.

      i can see Defoe stealing some Ade thunder. can't see Modric doing the same.....

      If you make a transfer it costs you 4 points, 2 points if the replacement is a guranteed 60 min starter, one point if your non-starter you transferred out comes on as a sub...so a net -2 or -3 before a ball is kicked.
