Robbie Keane and Darron Gibson are both available to play their new clubs. David Silva is expected to train ahead of City’s clash with Wigan on Monday, though Mario Balotelli is a doubt. Arsene Wenger, Tony Pulis and Roy Hodgson all have selection issues heading into the weekend.

Agbonlahor on the wing with Keane and Bent up front? Maybe even Agbonlahor in the hole?

Be harsh to drop Gabby, he's been one of our better players this year. Can see Keane starting on the bench with Ireland supporting Bent... but could be wrong.

    My team after 2 FT Mata>Valencia & Ade>Aguero:

    Vorm-Ruddy
    Raylor-Shawx-J. Enrique-BAE-Caulker
    Silva-Sess-Valencia-Bale-Ben Arfa
    RVP-Sturridge-Aguero

    Could wildcard and get:

    Vorm-Mignolet
    Kelly-Richards-J. Enrique-BAE-Caulker
    Silva-Sess-Valencia-Bale-Moses
    RVP-Sturridge-Aguero

Both options leave me with 0 in the bank so not much room for improvement. What should I do?

Could also do Raylor>Kelly and Shawx>Richards. But frankly I'm tired of Mata and Ade being so inconsistent lately, and really want Aguero in my team.

    Hi all,

    My current WC team is:

    Mignolet / Krul
    Kelly / Richards / Huth / BAE / Enrique
    Dempsey / Sess / Valencia / Bale / HBA
RVP / Yak / Rooney (to Aguero next week)

Any thoughts - feels like I have spread my funds a bit too much, but also feels kind of right. Also, should I be concerned, this team will lose me about 2 mill in team value.

Any advice really appreciated in these tough WC times!

If you're going with rooney I'd keep for the next 3 games as he could easily score against arsenal with their defensive problems. Not sur about HBA. Possibly downgrade BAE or Enqirue and upgrade to Walters who has some great home games coming up.

You've got me worried with that statement "downgrade Huth" just brought him in on my WC.

With WBA, SUN, SWA & NOR at home in the next 7 GW i fancy a goal or 2, scored in the Cup last week, so hopefully the beginning of a good streak?

Don't worry about team value, the expected points is what counts. I think all your choices look good for the coming weeks. Personally I don't like an expensive defense that much but all your defenders are great options.

him and jones apparently picked up niggles v man city last weekend. the concern for me is that they have rafael and evans to fill in if there's any doubts over the pair. saying that it really wouldn't surprise me if both jones and smalling played, nor if they both missed out, or 1 and 1 😉

They made a recent rule about not making "FIRST" or "SECOND" etc posts after someone apparently went a bit wild. They delete them on sight. I'm not too bothered by the posts myself so I don't care much for the rule, but unfortunately when you delete the post new posts don't go to the bottom but fly all over the place.

Yup, you're right. We weren't too bothered but a couple of months back, the first seven posts on a new article were "1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th" - all by the same person. That was the tipping point- we just felt if we didn't do something to stop it, we'd end up with the first page of a new article with nothing but numbers.

Yeah that was the incident - I appreciate the situation, that would be pretty annoying. Is it just a bug in Wordpress that means the post order is messed up upon deletion? The intentions can't be disagreed with but it seems counterproductive to basically handicap the whole comments section - they end up causing way more damage that way. Is there any way to delete without this bug, or edit it instead?

        Sorensen, Schwarzer

        Evans, Richards, Senderos, BAE, Santon

        McLean, Bale, Gerrard, Ramires, Murphy.

        Rooney, RvP, Aguero

        ... was my reply! 🙂

11.1. He's who I'm planning on bringing in to replace whoever I choose, so it would obv be convenient to just have him and save the transfer, but I reckon he'll get rested for the wigan game.

Struggling with my defense this week. All my defenders at some point this gameweek have been involved in injury doubts except the useless Ward I think. My defenders are:

Simpson, Hibbert, Shotton, Ntaylor, Ward. Dire stuff. I have one FT and will WC next week. Suggestions?

I think I will drop Hibbert as he seems to be the least likely to play and Everton are pants. Besides he's actually the most expensive one, haha. Probably going for Evans I guess, although he's not 100% nailed on either...

    Repost:

Was planning to do Mata => Gerard this week but it seems silly given that Silva is a doubt.

    Should I:

    A. Hold onto Mata and Silva and save the transfer (bench McAuley, Naylor and Allen)
    B. Mata => Gerard (same bench)
    C. Silva => Gerard and then Mata => Silva next week (lose 0.4 mil)

    Advice needed please.

I have Jagielka taking up a sub spot,

Got Shotton, Jones doubts for the weekend.

There's talk of Bale, Adebayor potential rotation.

Drenthe also in squad but he'll at least come on as sub I would assume.

Sturridge I believe is fit (and I hope starts)

So do I take a hit to ensure I have 11 players or take my chances?

    Team is

    Krul
    Jones, Shawx, Ekotto
    Nani(c), Bale, Drenthe, Sess
    RVP, Adebayor, Sturridge

    Vorm, Shotton, Walters, Jagielka

was mignolet under bruce and i reckon mignolet will stay number 1 under o'neill. it's hard to be 100% sure as westwood and mignoet haven't really both been 100% fit at the same time under o'neill yet.
i really wouldn't worry about gordon, people seem to forget how much footbal he has missed the ast few years, a loan spell beckons just ot get him used to being a keeper again

ben arfa seems more likely to get big points-but Pardew's comments that he had his 'best team' out vs. Man U + that 'Best will come and do a job' in Ba's absence makes me worried about him playing.
On the flip side, im worried that Cabaye will play deep and therefore rely on FKs for his points...FKs which he'll only take if R.Taylor doesnt play.
