League leaders Manchester City travel to the DW Stadium tonight, looking to put breathing space between themselves and their city rivals. The Dugout Discussion chatroom opens in anticipation of the conclusion of Gameweek 21.

Both team sheets have been handed in, and here is how they line-up on this horribly cold Monday night…

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Stam, Alcaraz, Caldwell, Figueroa, McArthur, McCarthy, Gomez, Crusat, Rodallega, Moses.

Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, Savic, Lescott, Clichy, Milner, Barry, Nasri, Silva, Aguero, Dzeko.

Roberto Martinez continues with Albert Crusat, who manages to shake off a slight back injury to start tonight. James McArthur begins for only the third time in the league this season, replacing Mohamed Diame who is unavailable thanks to the African Cup of Nations.

Manchester City are forced to partner Jolean Lescott and Stefan Savic at centre-back once more, despite a very ropey performance in their defeat to United last weekend. Elsewhere, David Silva is restored to the starting line-up, Sergio Aguero partners Edin Dzeko up front, and Pablo Zabaleta replaces Micah Richards.

    Does anyone have an email to complain to fpl? I’m going out of my cup match because some tosser has counted Hart as making 3 saves, even though Wigan only had 2 shots on target. Very frustrating

      really don't understand why get hart??
      more expensive than any city defender, and don't make a lot of save.
      komp+richard is a much much better bet IMO if u want to double up on city defence.

      As long as Dzeko has a lower PPI score then I'd imagine so, I can imagine defenders dominating.

    Not sure weather im more upset about Dyer getting 13 point to beat me in my h2h or Aguero failing to get 3 or more to win it for me.

    Had a very poor game i thought, yet i still hope for a bonus point!

      I don't know about straight into the lineup but Luiz is awful defensively and/or could be saved for CL. Alex is on his way out. That leaves it between Ivanovic Terry and Cahill. It comes down to whether he plays Ivanovic at right back in my opinion.

    Always had a soft spot for Wigan but i think i've had enough of them now. There's no excuse for having a half empty stadium when you're playing the league leaders on a monday evening when there's no other sporting events on or any other distractions, it's shameful. Let's see a proper football team (Leeds 🙂 ) with a sound fanbase who actually appreciate playing against world class footballers and can fill their stands. Not these group of pretenders who sell anyone who remotely resembles a decent footballer to their rivals and whose idea of a good season is keeping their status, even though they've been in the division for 6 years.

        I chose them as my 3rd division team back in '95. Quite funny since my "proper" team was Leeds and slightly over 10 years later Wigan were 2 divisions ahead of them 😐
