League leaders Manchester City travel to the DW Stadium tonight, looking to put breathing space between themselves and their city rivals. The Dugout Discussion chatroom opens in anticipation of the conclusion of Gameweek 21.

Both team sheets have been handed in, and here is how they line-up on this horribly cold Monday night…

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Stam, Alcaraz, Caldwell, Figueroa, McArthur, McCarthy, Gomez, Crusat, Rodallega, Moses.

Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, Savic, Lescott, Clichy, Milner, Barry, Nasri, Silva, Aguero, Dzeko.

Roberto Martinez continues with Albert Crusat, who manages to shake off a slight back injury to start tonight. James McArthur begins for only the third time in the league this season, replacing Mohamed Diame who is unavailable thanks to the African Cup of Nations.

Manchester City are forced to partner Jolean Lescott and Stefan Savic at centre-back once more, despite a very ropey performance in their defeat to United last weekend. Elsewhere, David Silva is restored to the starting line-up, Sergio Aguero partners Edin Dzeko up front, and Pablo Zabaleta replaces Micah Richards.

Follow all the action in our Dugout Discussion chatroom, which can be accessed right here.

I wouldn't, no. I had so hoped he would get a run as he has the potential to be an absolute bargain, but he didn't even get the start without Ba around, so I think it's time to give up on him as a fantasy prospect.

And yeah as mentioned above, Dyer could work and free up funds; depends how long you'll be keeping. I also like Sigurdsson for Swansea but I suppose we need to know that he'll be starting just yet.

Final takes place in GW 25, but players from teams that go out in the group stages could in theory be back for GW 24. Unlikely though as its only a couple of day rest, so players are likely to be available from GW25 onwards unless they make the semis, in which case will play in either the final or 3rd place playoff and be available from GW 26.

Here's how I'm looking for this week gents:

    Vorm (Al-Habsi)
    Hibbert, Enrique, Jones (Naylor, BAE)
    Moses, Sess, Nani, Bale, Silva
    RVP, Studge (Ade)

So not all that...is it wildcard time?

I could do one of the following for two weeks instead, leaving me 1FT for a one week punt on the GW23 matches where we get the teamsheet before the deadline:

    Hibbert -> Evans/Senderos
    Ade -> Zamora/Welbeck/Morison

Cheers. I’ve got 0.6 in the bank. Don’t really see any must have forwards right now so it might have to be a punt although I’m tempted to see what Ade will do against Wigan once he’s had a rest (probably nothing).

Bin Barnett for a Fulham/Stoke/QPR def, then you're good to go. 4.6 you have to spend methinks, Senderos/Woodgate/Ferdinand maybe. QPR may not be a bad option if they tighten up under Hughes.

Its just more annoying due to RVP Gate earlier in the season
Welbeck "touched " it as much as Gervinho, but ill let him have that one. The second is Bullspoo. Even opta didnt give it to him, and thats the facts. FPL used Opta as the reason against RVP, so suddenly theyve changed their minds

There's a few changes in good/bad fixtures for teams, we get to know the teams for a few games before the deadline in GW23 so you can take a one week punt or two, and if the teamsheets throw up a few nasty surprises you can emergency WC then.

Had he got that penalty he would have been lined up for 3bt and a 30 point haul as captain. Would have been quite different had those two assists not stood, big difference between a potential 30 and 0

    CAPTAIN DECISION!

    candidates for my team :
a)Roonpig - away to Ars (good record against the gunners)
b)RVP - playing home (MU leaking goal)
    c)Sess - home to SWA
    d)Silva - home to TOT
    e)Bale & Sturridge - i would say NO 🙂

RVP for me, he'll want to rip United a new one after the 8-2 humiliation and Arsenal really need to bounce back from their poor run of form

Rooney. He has an annoying knack of scoring in big televised games.

Hate going over very old ground, but don't you think that FPL has been ruined by the clowns that are now "running" it. They cant even to bothered to update tables within a reasonable time.

Just toying with the Wildcard and had an idea for a slightly different looking team. What would ye make of something like this? Front 8

    Silva, Bale, Valencia, Dempsey, Gerrard

    Morison, Fletcher, RVP

The only potentially significant problem I can see is a lack of captain options. Any thoughts?

Can find a few good options for both Def and GK, just looking for the most nailed-on one. I suppose none of us can really know. Reckon it's worth doubling up until they lose their places? Superb value but crap fixtures.

Since i got ignored the previous time i'm hoping someone would respond and give some advice this time! how does this WC team look? any improvement?

    Vorm, Sorensen
    Enrique, Richards, Jevans, Simpson, Caulker
    Bale, Valencia, Silva, McClean, Dyer
    Rooney, RVP, Torres

    0.2 in bank.

Torres is just a differential and if it doesn't work out i will downgrade to fletcher/sturridge and upgrade one of McClean/Dyer

AVB on Lampard. Seems Nailed on.

Yet, with LA Galaxy monitoring the player's potential availability in the summer, Villas-Boas has insisted the England midfielder remains a key part of his plans "for the long term" even if no one will be considered an automatic selection for the team. "Our relationship is fantastic," said Villas-Boas. "Frank is a player who is not available at any price.

"He is not 'in and out in rotation'. There is no such thing here. We decide on an XI which is strong for a particular game, and that can help us in the strategy to win that game. Frank has been decisive in the last couple of games [against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Portsmouth] with the timing of his arrival in the box to solve problems for the team. Has he spoken to me about it? We speak every day. We see each other every day."

You seem to really want Lamps, if so then go with your gut and get him but expect him to be rotated, so if you are fine with 11.1 coming on for a 1 pointer or not coming on at all the do it, buy him. After all he is proven fantasy talent and that's a fact.
