Crazy times. The midweek deadline stretched our resources to the limit as the teamsheets caused a frenzy around the 7.30 deadline. We remain alive and kicking, though, and our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open to take us into the action.

Hopefully your final tweaks were submitted in time and now you can sit back and take in the action, shaing the anguish and joy with your Fantasy Football peers in real-time.

The teamsheets are interesting to say the least. United are forced to hand Ben Amos his debut with both Anders Lindegaard and David De Gea unavailable and Stoke have laid down the gauntlet – both Kenwyne Jones and Peter Crouch start. Elsewhere at Old Trafford, Danny Welbeck makes way for Dimitar Berbatov, while Paul Scholes comes into the midfield.

Andre Villas-Boas keeps Gary Cahill on the bench at the Liberty, despite the absence of John Terry. Jose Bosingwa starts then, with Branislav Ivanovic partnering David Luiz. Swansea recall their regular first teamers in opposition.

Everton choose to star with Tony Hibbert at centre-back and he’ll be up against Sergio Aguero who returns to the City lineup, along with Vincent Kompany.

Gareth Bale is safely nestled in the Spurs lineup as he overcomes a thigh injury to start. He lines up alongside Niko Kranjcar who is given a rare start.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Ryan Nelsen's a pretty good defender when you can keep him fit. Good option to have and he'd only be 4th or 5th choice.

The Saha one is perplexing. He'll probably get less appearances than Pienaar did.

Well yeah but Saha IS a good player, why would he want to be a 3rd choice striker in a team that only plays one up top. And wouldnt Spurs want their 3rd choice striker to be someone reliable to call upon when needed, not some lad who spends chunks of the season in the treatment room.

            It's just bizarre.

I struggle predicting a week ahead!

But I think the Taiwo could be a really good move given his attacking potential and fixtures for the next 8 games. Bit of a punt though given that I am sure it will take time to settle down in defence.

            I disagree 🙂

With upcoming fixtures I reckon they could easy keep a few clean sheets, especially as Hughes tightens up at the back. With goal threat aswell think Taiwo is well priced at 4.5.

But in that price range there's well-established clean sheet potential, in the form of Swansea, Newcastle, Fulham and Man United.

I think QPR has better fixtures over the next few matches personally.

I actually have J Evans and Kelly. Santon appealed but leaned for Taiwo in the end.

Swanseas home games between now and the end of the season look tough to me, so I have shipped out Vorm and decided against their defenders.

Seems pretty clear that apart from ManC we are all fishing for a good fixture list. So those with TOT/LIV/MANU defence have got problems coming up. I really think QPR is a realistic option as Hughes will build from the back and be really tight away from home.

Ok silly question coming up, I have been part of FFL for 6 or 7 years now, and i am still not quite sure of the benefits of players prices rising and falling. I know the obvious reasons, but i notice that a lot of people on here are very concerned with price rises. I am never really thinking of the players price before i transfer, i mainly just look for the better player for the GW...

Am i missing out by not fully understanding the benefits of price rise/falls? Can anyone educate me a bit?

If you earn more value then you can get better players at the end of the season as the better plays are usually more expensive. For example, if you earn 4 million real value for example that is the difference between having Sinclair or Silva.

As the player increases in current selling price, you'll realize 50% of the increase, rounded down, to your team value.

          Buy @ 5.0
          Player increases to 5.5
His selling value for you will be 5.2

Hence, you've added 0.2 value to your team (re-sale value)

I think you're right on. Many here will discuss the virtues of high value for the second half ... and that doesn't hurt, to be sure.

But, ultimately, I think it's player selection, luck, and daring that'll carry the day.

a few decent fixtures before i downgrade him, but with Arsenal's defenders coming back, attacking potential returns. When the fixtures go bad he will be easy to downgrade. My main rival will also have Silva, Bale, Valencia and RvP, too similar?

Would not worry about similarity in midfield right now. It will shake up again soon. I would love to have Verm but not sure about bringing him in for just one week. When they are back to full strength at the back I will probably bring him in.

Im hearing lots of chat about BAE and his terrible fixtures.

For heavens sake , that is what the bench is for

This week at Liverpool = Bench
Next week Home to Newcastle = Great fixture
Then Home to Man u = Playable , especially with his assist potential
Then away to Everton = possible bench / possible play
Then Home to Stoke Good fixture

So he has a couple of rough outings, not enough to make me sell , espcially at price i paid and money i would lose

You would lose more money if you don't sell him and he drops in price. Only the sale value is important

did you out the bet on them to win, or win in normal time only. If it was too win I should think you'll be fine. Maybe check the terms?

I give him an A for honesty, but an F for managerial ability because Everton at Goodison was always going to be a tough match.
