The Matchday Surgery

Managers the length and breath of the country are frantically trying to free up funds and strike some last-minute deals to improve their squads. It’s also Deadline Day in the Premier League, so tread extra carefully as the 7.30pm Gameweek 23 Fantasy Premier League deadline approaches.

The Matchday Surgery chatroom is open, so venture in and ask your fellow fantasy managers for help and advice.

You’ve got plenty of other resources to call upon of course, such as the Scout Picks – a selection of players we’re tipping to do well this week, the Team News – complete with predicted line-ups for all the midweek Premier League games, and if you’re feeling particularly lucky/desperate there’s the Differentials – for those not-so-popular players we think might just deliver this week.

The Dugout Discussion will follow…

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

yes, think I'll stick with Vorm at home. I've a feeling both Chelsea and Blackburn will score but he might pick up some save points!

If that line up is correct and Rooney is out, what shall I do? Already taken a hit this week to get Dempsey.

    a. Play Surman/Simpson
    b. Switch Rooney to 1 week punt (wildcarding next week) for a further hit.

If b then who? Other forwards are RVP and Keane (so don’t want Bent). Ade? Already have Bale and BAE though.
