Stephane Sessegnon produced again in Wednesday’s thrashing of Norwich, just as he did against Swansea in Gameweek 22. It was the goal and an assist returns from that that game that came in for us at 5/1 last time out, fuelling our efforts for this week’s Fantasy Flutter.

Sergio Aguero was amongst the City side frustrated by the Goodison rearguard on Tuesday, but we perhaps shouldn’t read too much into another blank from the Argentinian. As a rule, Aguero saves his goals for home matches and with three in four Gameweeks to come, Fantasy managers are preparing for increased profits. Those could start flowing against Fulham this weekend. Paddy post a confident yet short 4/5 on Aguero to score and City to win against Martin Jol’s side, however, 21/10 on a brace for £5 offers just a little more reward for our risk.

Robert Huth was a monster last season, converting six goals, a tally which made him a hot Fantasy property and led to a significant price rise going into this term. Huth has found it difficult to live up to that reputation, however, with goals hard to come by, despite posing a significant threat in recent weeks. Paddy are offering 14/1 on the big German to deliver a goal and Stoke to keep Sunderland out at the Britannia – that’s worth a cheeky quid of our money.

Victor Moses was squeezed out of the Scout Picks this week, but, as today’s Watchlist article reveals, the fixture list offers hope that the Latics man will start to turn his potential into points over the next few weeks. Despite Everton holding firm against Roberto Mancini’s league leaders at bay in midweek, the Latics are fighting for survival and with Hugo Rodallega set to return to offer a sharper cutting edge, Moses and Wigan could be good for a goal or two. Paddy aren’t so sure and have been generous here, offering 8/1 on a Moses goal and Wigan to win, with a Moses goal and assist double at 18/1. As the anytime odds for Moses are rarely better than 7/2 across the board, 8/1 for £2 is a no brainer.

Our triple treat – the “who’s score the most goals” special is back on the menu this week with the Scout Picks forward line – Robin Van Persie, Aguero and Demba Ba all vying for our cash. Rather than a quick quip or analytical snippet as per usual, Demba Ba’s return to Newcastle’s line-up and a price of 11/2 requires little justification. Our last two quid is in the hands of the returning Magpies hat-trick hero.

Money Back Special

Paddy have focused on the two big encounters for their Money Back Specials this week. Down at Stamford Bridge, if a penalty is scored in the match between Chelsea and United, Paddy Power will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles. Over at Anfield meanwhile, if Gareth Bale scores anytime for Spurs, Paddy will again refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast single on the game.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

    Krul - Mignolet

    Richards - Clichy - Evans - Caulker - Kelly

    McClean* - Dempsey* - Silva - Val - Bale

    Morison* - Rvp - BA

    Man City vs Fulham

•There has not been a single clean sheet in the last 15 Premier League meetings between these teams

    • Damien Duff has scored in his last two visits to City

Why are people getting so caught up on cancelled games, so what if there is a bit of snow. Can't see it happening to be honest, if it had been snowing all week and now it is icy everywhere then maybe but we have only just started seeing signs of snow, no need to go overboard.

i'm searching everywhere and i don't see mention of heavy snow. Taken from the Met Office for North West England:

        Today:

Dry initially but rain spreading southeastwards across the region, with snow on the Pennines and Cumbrian Fells where significant accumulations and drifting snow are likely. Snow likely to give accumulations at lower levels, especially across the southeast of the region. Maximum temperature 2 °C.

        Tonight:

Rain and snow clearing southeastwards. Becoming cold under clearing skies with ice forming on untreated surfaces. Mist and fog also forming where winds fall light. Minimum temperature -2 °C.

eh? Here's a map of the north west region: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/nw/nw_forecast_weather.html

Manchester is in the south east of that region. Ergo "Snow likely to give accumulations at lower levels, especially across the southeast of the region" applies to Manchester.

Guys, I think I've just ruined my team with my wildcard. I wanted to get Aguero in, but the only way I could do it was to sell some of the 'Power-5' in midfield. I downgraded Sess (lost £0.7m value) to McLean, and downgraded Dempsey (lost £0.3m value) to Surgudsson. I already have Van Persie and Ba upfront, so I needed quite a bit of cash to do it.

For all those worried about the weekend weather in England, straight from the BBC:

    Saturday 4th February

    AMBER WARNING of SNOW

Rain moving slowly east across the UK will readily turn to sleet and snow away from west and southwest coastal areas, giving 2-5cm in places, with 5-10cm possible across central, eastern and southeastern England.

The snow is expected to turn to rain over some northwestern areas later, then as skies clear here after dark, icy patches will develop.

The public are advised that this is likely to lead to some travel disruption, and it is recommended to keep up to date with forecasts as the event approaches.

Valid from 1200 to 2359 Saturday.

    Saturday 4th February

    YELLOW WARNING of SNOW

A band of snow over eastern parts of England, with accumulations of 5-10cm widely, will slowly clear eastwards, turning generally lighter and to rain as it does so.

Behind this, clearing skies may lead to widespread icy patches forming.Vast clouds of a yellow, choking gas will issue from vents in the earth near Yatton, Somerset forcing the emergency evacuation of the city of Bristol. All Premier League games will go ahead as planned

The public are advised that this is likely to lead to some travel disruption and to keep up to date with forecasts as the event approaches.

Valid from 0000 to 1200 Sunday.

IS this WC team OK for 100M budget.. ??

    Krul – Mignolet

    Richards – Clichy – Evans – Caulker – Kelly

    McClean* – Dempsey* – Silva – Val – Bale

    Morison* – Rvp – BA

    0.1 in the bank.

*** – These 3 players I can chop n change for a different look but cant see any other players in form..

    Any Ideas ??

I can also do Sinclair + Studge IN for >> Dempsey + Morison OUT but they dont rotate well..

    Help me out..

Responded on previous page but I've got the same front 3. I would keep Morison for the home fixture vs Bolton. And why Dempsey out now? Outside of the Man City game, he should be good to go.

    WTF Just read this..

Wenger - I’m considering resting Van Persie
    - http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/wenger-i-m-considering-resting-van-persie

Im pretty sure that means Rvp will start on the bench.. But he might do a stoke.. come off the bench and score 2..

This is very frustrating.. What are other better captains choices ?? Valencia ??

I know he said.. but whenever theres been an article decicated to players being rested.. more often than not Arsene rests them..

Plus next week is so important, Rvp probably deserves a rest with Sunderland,Milan Spurs and again Milan all in 14 days//

Im 70% now that rvp will be rested..

There is 7 days until Sunderland, then 4 days til Milan, and then a while until the next Milan game, because he will not play in FA Cup.
Btw, the last time Wenger said he was tempted with resting RVP was against QPR over Christmas, when he played.
