It has emerged that Frank Lampard could be fit to face Manchester United on Monday following a calf injury; the midfielder faces a late fitness battle this weekend. John Terry is out though, joining the suspended Ashley Cole on the sidelines. Their counterparts could welcome back Wayne Rooney, Nani, Ashley Young and Tom Cleverley.

Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse trained for Newcastle today, signalling their availability for the game with Aston Villa. Fraizer Campbell could be rested by Martin O’Neill for Sunderland’s trip to Stoke. Steven Gerrard and Jamie O’Hara are back in the squads for Liverpool and Wolves, respectively.

      Pretty similar to mine.. but generic isn't a bad thing; there's a reason why those players are popular at
      the moment.

    Considering this as a WC team. Would love some feedback

    Vorm (Mignolet)
    Baines Kompany Simpson (Taiwo) (JEvans)
    Bale Sess Moses Silva (Demps)
    RVP Ba Zamora

    I was going to get rid of Baines and Bale in the WC to allow funds for Aguero and bring in Valencia but Bale's form is difficult to go against and Aguero's been off it recently. Likewise Baines has been dangerous all season and with Everton's usual second half improvement + few new faces I want to keep him as a differential.

    I'd lose .2 on Dempsey as I'm tempted to put Valencia in for him but not sure. Any thoughts guys?

      Yeah, I would hold on to Bale. His form is deadly if you don't have him although Spurs fixture is not the prettiest. But bale is kinda fixture-proof, like Bent was last season.

      I am thinking of Zamora but Cisse also looks great after his first goal. But he was subbed off at 80 mins and that worries me.

      Zamora has history of injuries and do you think he will last this time around?

        I'm not sure. I like his fixtures and wouldn't mind the gamble. I like the look of Cisse too but he's got a touch of the Balotellis about him in terms of madness, which makes him quite the gamble as well

      I had Cisse in my provisional squad since Tuesday, I took him out now though. I'm not confident he will start straight away, whereas Ba probably will.

      Sounds a bit stupid. Chelsea are without a proper left back and Valencia is probably the most or close to the most in form midfielder in the league at the moment.

          Well it was between him and Dempsey and I chose Dempsey. I tried to fit them both in but I just can't find a decent way for the way I want my team. Nani and Young coming back settled it for me.
