The Gameweek closes with a 0-0 stalemate at Anfield, a game notable in the main for a feline streaker – a rival to Everton’s recent handcuffed fan, but a far cry from the 70’s brand of pitch invader. Members can now read on for the key stats from tonight’s game and our prediction of where the remaining Fantasy Premier League bonus will be heading…
Hmm, gonna have a hard time deciding who to bench out of this lot. 😛
Taiwo, Evans, Clark, Raylor, Bardsley.
I'd probably want to play Raylor if he's fit and still OoP, and Taiwo as I've brought him in this GW. Evans, Bardsley and Clark don't have great fixtures this GW but I've gotta play one of them.Open Controlsthinking about puting my captain as dzeko simply because balotelli is almost back from suspension and he'll want to keep his starting position. is that reasoning too simplistic?
Open ControlsFuzzy, how are Ledley's knees holding up? It seems to be that he has been one of the best defenders in the league this year. We could do with him missing out at the weekend. I know he struggles to play two games in a week. Can he manage Monday night then Saturday evening?
Open Controlsbetween king, kaboul, and dawson, all 3 are solid. im having a harder time choosing a preferred 2 myself. might be best to keep them fresh and rotate one out for every game.
Open ControlsFair enough. Kaboul has really surprised me. I used to think he was rubbish, but has been a beast when I have seen him this season. And Dawson is possibly England's best defender. So I guess you are well covered. Whoever plays will have a busy day in store. The Double Dembas are coming for them!!
Open Controlsgoing to be a cracker. just promise me pardew wont drop raylor on us. we need his ineptitude!!! 😉
Open ControlsDon't worry if raylor is out injured (he won't be dropped), then it is likely that Obertan will play!!! He's worse than raylor, but without the flukey fantasy points!
Open Controlstotally forgot he was crocked. damn. that would happen. now we have to work harder to score 🙁
Open Controls
This is for the Gaffer... your welcome... 😉
http://fantasy.premierleague.com/my-leagues/303/standings/?ls-page=54219&Open ControlsScore needed so far for Millionaire Club is 63 & 68 for 20% League.
Open ControlsMy reserves/experimental fantasy team is ranked 20th this week! I am shocked and delighted.

Open Controls
Need BIG time help on finalizing my bench for next week..
Enrique, Evans, Kompany, Simpson, Caulker
I was thinking of playing Kompany - Caulker - Evans (Evans over Enrique for OT home match)
Agree? Need change? cant transfer out anyone this week as I need 2 transfers next weekOpen ControlsI'd do exactly the same too
Open Controls
Vorm
enrique r.taylor BAE cahill simpson
Bale Sessegnon Dempsey Valencia Ferguson
RVP Aguero Bent
bank: 0.0
any suggestions for the gameweek?Open Controlsthe fact that Bent/Ferguson could be Ba/Sigurdsson + cash seems a crime.
Open ControlsSurprised anyone still has Ferguson at this stage. It's not even like he saves you THAT much money.
I'd downgrade one from Enrique(fixtures/injury) or Cahill(rotation once Terry is back) and upgrade Ferguson to SigurdssonOpen Controls
Staring at my leagues and how many places i dropped in each of them this week, and knowing it is all because of D'Gerbil. I HAD to be different. I couldnt just do sturridge->ba. 🙁 Lesson learned.
Speaking of hot-headed disappointments, saw Drenthe dropped to 5.5 I swear FPL is intentionally going to get him down to 5.0 just to tempt me for an EVE DGW again.Open ControlsHave we got a good nickname for the two Cisse's yet? We need differential referencing 🙂
Open ControlsGerbil and Dave.
Open ControlsGerbil and Piss.
Open Controls
I was petitioning D'Gerbil all last week. The nickname is all but dead to me now after he ruined my gw. I like Big Papi for the new toon. I hope the "other" becomes irrelevant so fast, no nickname will be needed.
Open Controls
Thought you'd learned some lessons Fuzzy?
Even mentioning 'his' name on here is a sin (not D'Gerbil btw)
I share your pain by the way. I had Huth and 'never gets dropped' Morison this week. And dropped almost 60pts behind my mini-league leader. I'm 2nd and to compound things 3rd and 4th are that much closer to me as well 🙁Open Controlswe need a differential Gaf. One we dont share with everyone else, to put us back proper. Im going to find one. When no one is looking, i will tell you 😉
Open ControlsFound him already.
Siggs is the man (not much of a diff in the dead zone admittedly). Nobody in the top 5 have him.
If I can find the balls to make him captain then I may have stage 1 of the comeback in place (or an epic crash and burn as RVP tears Sunderland to shreds)Open Controls*top 5 of my mini league
Open Controlsdefinitely in on sigurdsson. suggested yesterday about dyer->sig, despite my other issues. but i feel like this is the best time to get him.
he is Soooooo this week though, i needed a diamond buried even deeper in the rough.Open Controlsoh and i think you said its a sideways move, and i agree but there is so much more consistent potential from Siggy.
Open Controls
who cap??
ba aguero or rvp?Open ControlsDo we know how long Enrique is out for?
Open ControlsQuick poll for you guys,
DISCLAIMER: It is not related to fantasy football and is off topic but still,
Which type of poster do you prefer and which category would you say you fall into?
A. The smartass- a poster who is intelligent, witty, funny but who doesn't always give constructive advice
B. The sensible one- someone who gives sound and good advice, but that advice is generally boring and soporific.
C.The statsman- Someone who views everything with an analytical bent of mind, and rubbishes all non stats backed info, can also be condescending sometimes but his advice is generally useful.
D. The historyman - Someone with immense knowledge of football, but generally lives in the past, always shrouded in nostalgia, talks a lot of non- FF related stuff as well.
E. The Sportsman- Talks alot about other sports apart from football as well, and gives advice sporadically.
F.The gender challenged Saffer.
NOTE: You can be a mix of the above categories as well, but not more than two, it should be fun seeing everyone's views, completely useless I know, but fun nonetheless.Open ControlsJust wanted to say that your post reminded me of this FFS article and you may find it relevant: http://fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2011/11/11/which-fantasy-football-manager-are-you/
Open ControlsI would be a Z (Someone who posts once a month asking advice OR typing "LOL" to another post!)
And would prefer a combo of A & B.. A witty & sensible one.. I do think we have a few here.. 🙂Open ControlsI'm a B & D but I aspire to be an A
Open ControlsI think I'm C, and I prefer advice backed up by stats because it means the person isn't talking out their a**.
Category G should be the Communist, someone who spreads misinformation to intentionally get people to pick the wrong players. People who post fake team sheets for example, or people who log in as someone else and tries to create a bandwagon that they know will fail.Open ControlsUrghh, communists. I hate those type of posters who deliberately spread misinformation to cause panic. 😡
Open Controls
And how about:
G. The RMTman - someone who needs constant reassurance and advice and is unable to make a decision? Probably a good lad/lass and is hammering their mini league rivals by being on here.Open ControlsA + B for hvt, would like to post more but time unfortunately an issue !
Open ControlsSo, you give unconstructive advice which is boring and sporififc? 😛 : P
Open Controls
I've just been giving "advice" close to gameweek deadlines, and at night when things are a bit quieter and I can't think of anything else to do myself. 😛
I don't really back up my points too well, but I've been doing well the past two seasons, so I guess that counts for something.Open ControlsA, B or E - depends what mood I am in.
Open ControlsI prefer D and E and i fall into E!
C reminded me of a poster who posted alot a year back but no longer posts Dbronaldo 🙂Open ControlsG - Doos, as he is always the gentleman
Open ControlsYou are very kind. 🙂
Open Controls
What chances of R Taylor keeping his place (if fit) now Cabaye back? Is Perch still ahead of him? And what's the bobby with Ben Arfa?
Also when Tiote likely to be back?
'Toon fans, thoughts?Open ControlsCabaye won't be back until next GW.
Raylor looks to be the favourite for the RM role at the moment however, ahead of Ben Arfa (not sure whether he's preferred centrrally though) and Obertan. I don't know how long that'll be the case however, as he's not been having as many minutes recently compared to the start of the season where he played RB and made that position his own.Open ControlsAlreet. If we disregard Raylors injury, I would say that he WAS guaranteed a spot until Cabeye's return. We need him for set pieces. But he will likely be injured for this weekend. Then cabeye is back for the following game. He then would be fighting out for a place on the right mid with barfa and squidward. Pardew likes squidward, and he has done ok from the bench in the last two games. Also, Tiote is back after spurs, which will give us a stronger base from which we might be able to play Barfa.
So in short, RAYLOR IS NO LONGER A VIABLE FANTASY OPTION!! SELL SELL.
PS I am selling him this week.Open ControlsSaying that, I wouldn't take him out for a hit. His versatility means that he is always likely to turn up here and there when we have injuries. That will be his future. Mr versatile on the bench. He then becomes a very useful player to have. in real terms that is, not fantasy.
Open ControlsThanks China sound reply, just the sort of info I needed.
Squidward = Oberfish, I presume?Open ControlsYeah. I'm still hoping that he will come good. He looks amazing on youtube. But absolute rubbish on the pitch. He scored a good goal against blackburn and did ok at the weekend, so he might be turning the corner. He just looks like a guy with zero confidence. Pardew has given him plenty of chances though.
Open ControlsI always think he's about to fall over, looks really unbalanced on his feet. Almost like he's going to fast for his brain.......bit like Walcott, sometimes.
Seems like a good guy though, no play acting b*llocks, just likes to play footie and get on with it.
Good luck to him....Open Controls
Music to my ears. Raylor has been killing me as a non-owner. And taking all things into consideration it didnt seem a good option to buy him on WC for the reasons you listed.
Yet he still kept weighing in with assists and cleanies along with baps for my rivals.
The sooner he dissapears off the fantasy radar the betterOpen ControlsI brought him in on my wild card based on the thinking that if he plays, it will be good for my fantasy team, cos he will be OOP, but if he doesn't it would be good for my real team because he is rubbish! Kind of covering my bet. He was dropped for the first game!! I was (kind of) happy!!
Open ControlsHaha some fuzzy logic there 🙂
Rather like myself most of the time.
Havent watched all the Newcastle games so can't comment on his performances but surely the amount of goals that he has a hand in must make him more reliable/valuable to the team than Obertan (rubbish- I'm a Man Utd fan btw).
Although I would play Ben Arfa over both anyday of the week. Cracking (lazy) playerOpen ControlsBased on performances this season, I agree entirely. I would pick raylor over squidward. But the fact that there are 3 players battling out for one slot makes him a no go for me.
Once tiote comes back, i'm expecting pardew to try out the following formation (a kind of 433)
Cisse
Ba Barfa
Jonas Cabeye
Tiote
I reckon there is enough battle in the 3 mids to allow us to play this. And santon and simpson can provide the width.
I might be dreaming though!!Open ControlsWhy do you keep saying Barfa will be in there?
Pardew clearly doesn't see him as a first XI player.Open ControlsIf you note my last comment "i might be dreaming though", it suggests that this is what I want to be, rather than what pardew will definitely choose.
Saying that though, the fact that Barfa started the fulham and brighton games (tough away games), in something similar to my suggested formation leads me to think that he is very much in pardew's plans. I was fully expecting him to be an impact sub only until Tiote comes back. With Tiote and Cabeye in centre mid, we are very strong, which MIGHT allow us to play Barfa. Also, he has been doing much more running about chasing after the ball in the last few games he has played.
Also, he was very poor against brighton, and kept giving the ball away, but we had Ameobi and Best up front ffs!! You would get more movement from an actual amoeba!! He will definitely get his chance to show what he can do, when he actually has some proper strikers to pass to!Open Controls
All aboard the Sigurdsson captain bandwagon.
Open ControlsI really want to. Takes some balls though when theres people like Dempsey, Bale, Aguero & of course RVP all crying out for the arm-band
Open ControlsNot a bad option for this GW, I have Sinclair as my VC at the moment. I may decide to give him the armband if I'm feeling brave, as I have the feeling that akin to the Bolton game, an on-form Sunderland side could lead to a struggle for Arsenal goals.
Open Controls
Hi guys, OK for this week?
Vorm
Evans, Richards, Caulker
Dempsey, Bale(vc), Silva, Valencia
RVP(c), Aguero, Ba
Subs: Lindegaard, Sessegnon, Williamson, Shotton
Next week, Shotton out for Kelly.
cheers,Open ControlsTough to leave out Sess with the form he's in and the fact he's playing Arsenal (hardly the tightest DF in the league)
But thats what happens when you have such a top heavy side!
Nice front 8 by the way 😉Open ControlsYeah i'm not sure about benching Sess, but it's either him or Ba, and Ba seems to be a bit more...fixture proof, i guess?
Hehe cheers, yeah it is a bit of a pain, but good to have options i guess. I've got 1.1 in the bank so should be able to upgrade Shotton to Cahill/Shawcross soon, should balance it out a bit more.
cheersOpen Controls
Bench Sess or Ba?
Open ControlsWho else can you bench?
Open ControlsBale, Silva, Siggy, Demps, Aguero or RvP...
Open Controlsoohhh..
How big are your balls? I'd do Aguero but they'd have to be massive.Open ControlsI've got the same, apart from Valencia instead of Siggy. I'm narrowing it down to Ba or Sessegnon too, on Sess at the moment. Thinking Ba might be the better bet now though, Spurs looking pretty tight and don't Arsenal concede a lot away from home?
cheersOpen Controls
Hi beergut if your still on I owe an apology, it was out of sheer frustration that I posted that I had rvp coming off bench, for Enrique when in fact it was the mighty senderos that coupled with losing kompany previously left me frustrated and in fact justifiably so in the end with both city/pool keeping cs.
Open ControlsAnyone know when the Huth appeal will be heard?
Open ControlsI got 0 points from the four defenders I played. 6 less than the one defender I benched. What a game.
Open ControlsBench one outta
Bale Dempsey Valencia Sess Siggi
Ba Aguero RVP ..
Right now its Ba on the bench and Dempsey captain.Open ControlsValencia.
Don't bench Ba.Open ControlsI agree with JOA. Ba is quite likely to score against anyone and Sess is against Arsenal who dont have the best defence. Siggy is home to Norwich.
Valencia up against the Liverpool defence will have a much harder job to rack up any points. Purely my opinion though.Open Controls
Narrow it down to Valencia or Ba.
Open ControlsI would bench Sess
Open ControlsNot with his form and playing at home. Arsenal have a leaky defense.
Open Controls
Benching Ba sounds about right.
Open Controls- Open Controls
Hahaha! 🙂
Open Controls😆
Open ControlsSilly Billies! 😀
Open Controls
Sessegnon, imo.
Open Controls
When do the final baps come out?
Open ControlsThey always take ages after a Monday evening game for some reason.
Open Controls
Quick poll:
Who here's brought in Oxlade-Chamberlain (or Ox in the Box, as someone called him at the w/e - classic)?
He's had a monster 54,384 transfer-ins this GW. Is this mainly bandwagon (or ox-cart, again someone at the w/e) stuff, or people need a decent/cheapish punt who can't afford Dempsey/Valencia etc sort of thing?
Or are people replacing big names like Silva/Bale with him?
Looks exciting prospect to be fair.....but too early to tell?Open ControlsTough run of fixtures coming up for Arsenal. RVP is the only Arse player I would have.
Open ControlsNot seen him mentioned by anyone on here as a transfer they've made. So I would guess the casual players have taken a shine to him (or his score last week anyway)
Open ControlsThe problem with him is he's not guaranteed to start every week. Gervinho will be back soon.
Open Controls
Ok dead-zone peeps. Hows my team looking for next week? Subs/capt choices to your satisfaction?
Mignolet (Krul)
Kelly Caulker Richards
Siggs(vc) Bale Silva Sess Dempsey(c)
RVP Aguero
Bench: Morison Simpson Huth
My only concern is Migs or Krul (not a good week for their roatation)? And of course the capt choice this week is a real toughie and the one thing I can be sure of is that I will balls it upOpen Controlsi have sorensen and lindegaard.
dont be concerned, be relieved. start krul.Open ControlsWhy Dempsey over Bale? 🙂
Open Controlsno lennon, vdv, and defoe, ade is out of form. i think it unwise to captain bale this week unless you know at least vdv is back.
Open ControlsMainly because I'm the only person who has Dempsey at the top of my mini-league and Dempsey is an out-and-out striker until Fulhams new signing has settled into the team. Plus decent form (barring the Man City game)........
It's a tough decision like I said though 😕Open ControlsOK - I can see that.
Open Controls
Is it a good idea to get Sigurdsson? cheap and scored, but will he start?
Open ControlsSiggy lovers:
after the norwich game, lets say an assist and a BP, what are your plans? Back to bench every week? who would you bench for him in the upcoming week? trying to decide if this weeks potential is worth the transfer in if i dont plan to keep using him.Open ControlsThat would be a connundrum for sure. Think he's benched for Stoke away for me (GW26) but will possibly play ahead of Sess in GW27 when Sun travel to Newc and Swans travel to Wigan.
It's actually a nice problem to have really as you just know Silva/Bale/RVP/Aguero are all due a rest at some pointOpen ControlsReplace with Walters after this game
Open Controls
What a load of rubbish! Dropped 1,700 places after last nights game and auto-subs. To be expected though really.
Overall green arrow.
Any news on Kompany? Other than that I don't really see any subs I want to make this weekOpen ControlsMe too. I suppose we should be grateful for small mercies.
Open Controls
Who to bench from this front:
Sess demps siggy silva bale
Rvp ba sturridge
Stu? Ba? Sess?Open ControlsProbably Sturridge. Everton don't usually conceed many at home. They raise their game against the bigger sides as we saw last week :/
Open Controls
T.Krul, S.Mignolet
M.Richards, N.Taylor, J.Enrique, R.Shawcross, P.Senderos
D.Silva, G.Bale, J.Walters, S.Sessegnon, N.Dyer
S.Aguero, R.Van Persie, D.Ba
0.6m in bank, 1 free transfer, Thoughts??Open ControlsMeh 80 all out without RVP (C). Got 1 FT and was formulating my Dzeko exit strategy but not sure which way to go. Who in my squad do I downgrade to be able to fund the move? 1.3 mil in the bank.
Vorm
Richards, Kelly, Caulker
Sess, Bale, Silva, Dempsey
RVP, Ba, Dzeko
Subs: Lind, Valencia, BAE, EnriqueOpen ControlsYou should feel blessed to have got that score without RVP as capt. I gave him the arm-band and returned the same points as you
