Sometimes FF is about playing slow, steady and patient.

Other times it comes to a point where you need to get the big guns, go all guns blazing and throw everything at it.

I reckon it's time for the latter option.

      Rooney in.

Sturridge, but would have to replace Valencia with tiote. Was planning to wildcard in a couple of weeks, otherwise I can do Sturridge to balotelli for two weeks but Rooney will be that much more expensive by then.

Yeah but in City's last 4 home games Aguero's collected 4 goals, an assist and 4 bps.
Plus looks at City's overall record as a team at home, they've only failed to score at least 3 goals in 2/12 games.

The problem with retaining him is Rooney; come GW28 when I expect lots of FFS-esque players would be planning to swap, Roonpig could be £12.5m. I'm sticking with Aguero unless he, RVP or Ba comes a cropper in the next fortnight.

Remember this in the pub, Peep Show, Series 2?

Jeff Heaney: So basically, Man is programed to do two things - kill and nob. In the Stone Age, you'd get up, kill an antelope...

Jeremy Usborne: And nob the corpse.

    Jeff Heaney: No, Jez.

my favourite quote from peep show is probably this:

Jeremy Usborne: [Discussing Mark's job] I mean, I'm no NHS Direct but this stress can't be doing your sex life any good. Tell Gail she's exploiting you.

Mark Corrigan: But then she'll fire me! I don't want to be unemployed, I've got a girlfriend to impress, and then when Sophie gets back from Wales, I've also got a baby to impress.

Jeremy Usborne: Christ Mark, you really need to grow a pair.

      Mark Corrigan: Of testicles?

      Jeremy Usborne: Yes.

Mark Corrigan: You want me to grow a pair of testicles so I'd have four testicles and somehow that'll help make me braver and better to deal with stress? Staggering around like a baboon with four balls hanging down?

Jeremy Usborne: Look, Gail's f^cking you over because you're so bloody passive. You need to rip her a new one.

Mark Corrigan: A new anus? So she'd have two anuses? And then in this mad new world of yours, I'd presumably shove my four bollocks up her two anuses for some unknown reason.

Baines always looks more comfortable to me when players who like to cut in e.g., Pienaar, Osman, Arteta are on the left. It allows him more space to get forward. This season Drenthe and Bilyaletinov have played there a lot and they like to get to the byline more taking the space away form him.

    2FT

    Valencia > Surman
    Dzeko > Rooney

    $0 left in the bank

Logic is that I have Evans and Linde who I'm not keen to sell which means I have to sell Valencia in order to get Rooney. With Nani coming back Valencia might get shifted to RB so perhaps its not a bad decision. Also I won't get Aguero because it would mean I can't afford Rooney in two gameweeks due to Rooney's price rises. Good moves?

How long is Linde out for.... I know it's Fergie, but wasn't it a good six weeks or am I imagining that? I get your point reg Rooney's price, I suspect by GW28 he could be up to £12.5m but Valencia was racking up the points even at full back. I traded him out knee jerk for Siggy on Sat AM and regret it now. Dzeko will certainly be at risk from Balo, and potentially Tevez? He's worth losing certainly and if that's the way to raise funds... presume you can't generate the funds from Sess - McClean?

That said, they're pretty good transfers... brave on the Sun of a fortnight premier league break though. Go for it!

Still not prepared to drop any of RVP, Ba or Aguero to get him in... and if I did, Rooney and Ade/Saha given their fixtures from 28 onwards would be higher up my list. Form and fixtures rather than simply the latter... we've seen all season with Torres/Bendtner/Suarez that good fixtures do not always equal a good return, especially when AV are so poor at the minute.

    The City Question. It returns.

I could go without City cover for the next two gameweeks. It appears ludicrous, but...

    Prospects:

Aguero - price isn't rocketing like Rooney's, 1 goal from open play in his last 8, pens gone with Balo return. Rooney has 1 great fixture, Aguero: 2, though.

Silva - another brilliant real-life player, but a more attacking Modric. I just cannot work out his fantasy pedigree.

Yaya - a mysterious option. A tired, weary returning holding mid or a buzzing box to box midfielder ready for some fantasy action?

I'm at a loss. I may pray they do nothing for a couple of weeks and then I'm in the clear.
