Villa Vs Bolton Date Confirmed

The first of Gameweek 29’s postponed fixtures due to FA Cup involvement has now been rescheduled and, as expected, it’s dropped into a midweek slot on March 20.

Aston Villa have confirmed that their clash with Bolton, formerly set for Sunday March 17, has moved to Tuesday March 20. Although unconfirmed, this should see the fixture remain in the Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 29.

We now await confirmation of the rescheduling of the remaining fixtures postponed due to FA Cup ties. These include:

Everton vs Arsenal
Blackburn vs Sunderland
Stoke vs Tottenham
QPR vs Liverpool

The Man City vs Chelsea clash, currently scheduled for Monday March 19, is also in doubt, should Chelsea see off Birmingham in their FA Cup replay on March 6.

Tonight’s confirmation from Villa is surely a positive sign that would indicate that all these games will, once again, return to Gameweek 29. We will bring you confirmation, with out season tickers updated once the FPL update the Gameweek.

              I hate to be pessimistic but gaining over 10pts per gw on someone who must have a decent team is almost beyong hope... but it could be be done with much luck!

              Dump Ba, get Piss. Get Baines in your def for Komps (you wanted punts, yes?). Leave RVP well alone as I assume your ml leader has him. You'll have to go for every differential to win.

    Anyone got Walcott in mind in a few weeks? Might sound like a knee jerk but you cant argue with the points total despite his poor performances. If he gets any sort of form he could be dangerous.

        He's the sixth highest scoring midfielder and you'd probably be playing him every game and cheaper than most around him. Not convinced but he's definitely on my radar.

            Just think he has room for improvement. I had him in mind before the weekend and he was banging them in last year when fit, although that was alongside Fabregas. Like I said, not convinced yet.

            Out of the higher priced midfielders, only Bale, Dempsey and Silva are ahead in terms of value. Throw Sessegnon in their maybe. With the fixtures they have he should be considered surely.

        In Skrtel LFC probably have the best defender in EPL this season & Carra whilst slow (never blessed with pace) he has the experience to keep the defence tight & keep Enrique's cleansheets coming in 🙂

          I agree it's a good backup. Funny enough I think the biggest blow might be offensively. Carragher and Skrtel don't really know what to do with the ball, more often than not they knock it up aimlessly.

    Anyone else think Aston Villa could be serious trouble? Hard to see where goals will come from without Bent and Robbie for rest of the season and have a manager who has history of relegation. Only few points ahead of Wolves, QPR, Blackburn etc too, I wonder what odds can get on them for the drop.

      7-8 points clear is a lot at this time of the season. Even though they'll probably struggle through the rest of the season they should remain clear of then bottom 5 or at least 3 of them.

      They got points in the bank and a solid defence - even without key strikers they should be able to keep things tight & play on counter perhaps Nzogbia & Albrighton will be used more.........Oops forgot that Mcleish is boss.

      They have been poor for weeks & fans venting anger, wont help. I dont think they will go down but they may go close.
