The first of Gameweek 29’s postponed fixtures due to FA Cup involvement has now been rescheduled and, as expected, it’s dropped into a midweek slot on March 20.

Aston Villa have confirmed that their clash with Bolton, formerly set for Sunday March 17, has moved to Tuesday March 20. Although unconfirmed, this should see the fixture remain in the Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 29.

We now await confirmation of the rescheduling of the remaining fixtures postponed due to FA Cup ties. These include:

Everton vs Arsenal
Blackburn vs Sunderland
Stoke vs Tottenham
QPR vs Liverpool

The Man City vs Chelsea clash, currently scheduled for Monday March 19, is also in doubt, should Chelsea see off Birmingham in their FA Cup replay on March 6.

Tonight’s confirmation from Villa is surely a positive sign that would indicate that all these games will, once again, return to Gameweek 29. We will bring you confirmation, with out season tickers updated once the FPL update the Gameweek.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Macedonian U-21 international Bojan Gjorgievski has become another new signing of BATE... He started his professional career in Vardar from Skopje (31 match in two seasons). This season he switched to another team from the capital, Metalurg Skopje (4 matches this season).

His first choice position is right back. In January Balkan player will turn 20 years old.

    — I already got acquainted with my new teammates during the training camp in Spain and they were really nice to me. I would like to thank Mateja Kezman and Marko Simic in particular for their great effort to socialize me in the team. I think my move to BATE is a great challenge...

Thanks - It's put you into pole position though! Nice home games for both of us this week. 6 points from 3 games would leave us really well placed...

I owe mine to Simpson. He's definitely a talisman of sorts.

6pts from 2 games would be good but all the competition is tough, feeling i will need that 4pts home advantage this week. My defense is a wreck, but will be sorted by the time I play you 😉

      Basically it's this:

      Richards/Zabaleta - Lescott/Toure - Kompany - Kolorov/Clichy

If you want a City defender go for Kompany as he's the only one who will play pretty much every game. The others will all be rotated and its a bit of a lottery whether your player plays in the PL or the Europa.

Well we have 2 fellas who don't get rotated in Hart and Kompany.
Then we have Richards and Zabaleta fighting for RB, Clichy and Kolarov fighting for LB and Lescott rotating with K. Toure occasionally.

Midfielder is more of a gamble as you say due to potential rotation but hopefully I'll guess the right one as there's definitely points to be had there. If he's fit I'll probs go with Valencia.

My England team to face Holland:

    .....Ox Welbeck Sturridge
    ............Gerrard
    ....... ..Barry Milner
    Cole Jones Smalling Richards
    ...............Hart

Barry and Milner have brilliant in the centre for city this season. Underrated. The front 3 deserve to be given a chance. Welbeck holds the ball up well and Ox and Sturridge can provide flair to break through the defence. Jones and Smalling are the best from the choices available with added bonus of working together at united. I would give Hart or Milner the armband. Holland look very strong so would say it would end 3-1 to Holland, but we can hope...

Barry and Milner have been outstanding this season, Milner has verged on world class at times. But i understand the Carrick choice. I'd be tempted with Lescott and Jagielka for euros.

Ox doesn't deserve a chance yet, only played a handful of PL games and not in the squad anyways.
Parker's arguably the first name on the team sheet atm so he'll defs be in.
And Jones is no way good enough to start at CB for England yet.

My team from the squad only:

      Hart
Richards Smalling Cahill (lack of options!) Cole
      Parker Milner
      Gerrard

Wasn't meant to be, it just moved everything together for some reason. Johnson and Sturridge on the wings supporting Welbeck in a 4-3-3/ 4-2-3-1 with Gerrard as AM.

Personally I'm dead set against that. Good players, but not in that system.

Gerrard as AM = dangerous when he's the only one. Will require plenty of movement in front of him and can be dealt with by a DM.

Sturridge needs to get over himself and take one for the team. At the moment it's him OR AJ as an inverted winger. They're too similar in terms of end result. With this and Gerrard, Micah will have too much to do, unless the whole team shifts right to accomodate it - That takes a GOOD double pivot, not a ramshakle one like ours will be.

the left winger will already be wanting to cut in, whoever it is. If it's downing well that's even harder for the team.

I'd have em all in the squad, just not on the pitch together!

Meh. I;d rather go for Smalling as he's at least got the potential to be world class. Jags and Lescott are already at their peak and it's not great. Cahill's overrated and possibly worse but at least he'll gain an understanding with Cole/Terry at Chelsea.

This is in a fantasy world where as-yet-unfulfilled potential is good, yes? Also in this world it's important for Cahill to learn to play with Terry?

The same process which makes Smalling not quite ready also means that Terry is no longer able. If there were any perfect candidates we wouldn't be having this discussion.

I just dont think Jags or Lescott are good enough.

Smalling may well be ready (enough) come the Euros with some more game time under his belt at Utd. Dont think there is much in it at current levels between all of these options.

The Euros is a major tournament, we don't need players with potential, we need those who can perform for us. However I do rank Smalling amongst our top 3/4 CB's so I'd take him anyway.

Jagielka is over-rated, and this is coming from an Everton fan. While I don't think he should be ruled out due to England's lack of stellar centre halves, he has been error prone and unreliable in the past two seasons.

I rate him as the third best centre back at Everton behind Distin and Heitinga, let alone first choice for England

Interesting that you see it that way, when I've seen him he's always done a decent job. Obviously you've seen more than him than me so maybe he's not as good as I thought he was.

            He's still better than Cahill!

Jones is in for his versatility. Shouldn't be starting at centre back for England or Utd for some time.

I'm not at all convinced by Lescott, he's made to look better than he is playing for City with little work to do.

Perhaps, but we've seen enough of Lescott at Everton to know. From what I've seen, he's not come on at all at City.

Richards has been in the England set up for a long time and has generally impressed when given the chance.

He's impressive going forward, i'll grant you that. But he's positionally a bit of a Gerrard and gets lots of help at Mc from his team mates.

Fair point. Dont think Johnson or Walker offer much competition though. Really struggling to get excited about the Euros, there are so many weaknesses in our team, let alone the squad.

I always enjoy these tournaments more when England dont qualify.

Ok, thinking of saving the freebie this week - best option from the below for 2 freebies in GW28?

    a) Rangel & Dempsey -> JEvans & Valencia (0.6m left over)
    b) Rangel & Silva -> JEvans & Nani (0.3m left over)
    c) Kompany & Aguero -> JEvans & Rooney (1.1m left over)
    d) Silva & Aguero -> Valencia & Rooney (1.5m left over)

    Schwarzer, Sorenson
    Kompany, Raylor, Rangel, Simpson, Caulker
    Silva(vc), Mata, Dempsey, Sigurdsson, Moses
    RVP, Aguero(c), Ba

Just to revitalise the England debate/doom and gloom.

Does anyone else find it worring how many of our players are not even nailed on for their clubs. I've never seen an England squad like it in that sense. Obviously squad rotation is much more prevalent these days but how many other top national teams are in that situation?

Yep it's mostly due to the quality of overseas players in English football now. Then again, I'm not too bothered by it, I'm more of a club man than a country one.

Put it this way City would destroy England!

Also I don't see why Harry would leave a developing Spurs side for the England job. Doesn't make sense to me. Can obviously see the the attraction but personally I think top-end European football outdoes internationals.

I'm with you, I'd rather see Arsenal win the title than England the Euros. And the best club sides are generally head and shoulders ahead of national sides, although Spain would give any club a good run for their money.

The only reasoning for Harry leaving would be that he might not get a shot at a World Cup if he doesnt take it now. That's got to be the pinnalce of management, as long as you can deal with the pressure.

Chasing a 48 point ml leader, and I have loads of narrow options.Should I try to do desperate moves already against his team or is there time to play it safe? Any advice?

    My team:

    Zamora Ba RvP

    His team:
    Ruddy Vorm
    Raylor Kompany Simpson Naylor Caulker
    McClean Sess Silva Dempsey Bale
    Ba Aguero Rooney

So any advice is welcomed. Can't figure out if I should deal with the injuries or get in players with prospects(rooney/holt/siggy).Or deal with the defence. Or should I try to counter his team?

I'm in a similar position and made a mistake this week trying to catch up too fast (did RVP to Rooney and it backfired). 50 points is nothing when you look at it over 12 weeks or so.

You've got a good enough side for this GW imo. I'd look at transferring Sess and Zamora for Rooney and someone else if you can.

You have a better team than him, I'd be captaining RVP probably 80% of games or more if I were you, that could easily make up the difference in 2 or 3 wks alone!

Keep the head, I'm 80pts behind my league leader who took a 4pt hit and took RVP OUT of his team this week, good luck to him and I'm very confident of making up the ground.. I have Richards also, so I know your frustration with him all too well, switch to Kompany asap as you'll be losing out to your ML leader regularly without him

          at least one of them

Lampard was arguably Englands best player at the Vuvuzela Championships

and lets face it... Gerrard is not the player he was 5 years ago

would like to see a new midfield being built

      hart (foster)
      Johnson Terry Ferdinand Baines (Cole)
      Walcott Gerrard Lampard Young (Downing)
      Rooney Bent (Carrol)

What England needs is experience and resilience at the back. None of the Smalling/Jones/Cahill are good at CB. They are more attacking players.
The creativity that Lampard and Gerrard can create in the midfield is and the linkup play to the strikers can make England win the Euros.

Anyone here see The Artist? Can't see myself enjoying a silent film but I'm probably just narrow minded

Start off with Cairo: Nest of Spies. It's so so and subtitled. A good way in. If you think it's ok, you may like The Artist.

I understand your sentiment. But think about it, silent films are like any other genres - they range from utter sewage to magnificent (I think this also goes for musicals, though with a bigger weight in the sewage part of the spectrum).

Watched Chaplin a couple of months ago. Its really quite mesmerising. Buster Keaton is also bonkers.

Haven't seen it, but its been on my to see list for a while.

      Looks like a no then.

I shall therefore repack the pearls of wisdom I was about to share and may even keep them to myself after all.

I don't believe this, the one time of the day I get to myself, and half the family's wandering about demanding attention, with menaces.
