3 thoughts for the next couple of GWs:
1: Keep Bale as there's nobody good enough to bring in, taking into account 2 transfers to get him back in.
2: Only Liverpool defenders are worth bringing in, unless you're playing catch-up.
3: With Valencia ruled out again, he could be at bargain basement level by the time he returns. He's dropping like a hotpot.

I think it's time to be bold in FPL. Mark said it right when he said he needs to break up the template as every time he has a good GW so does everyone else. With the profile of this site on the increase and so many FF bragging rights up for grabs were going to see so many teams the same. Makes playing the game a bit pointless if we all have the same players.
Unless things get shaken up there is no chance of climbing the rankings and it's more likely our teams will fluctuate between a set number of places.
There's not always a need to be bold. It depends who you're playing the game against.
If your aim is to finish inside the top X on the game then yes, but if you're top in all your mini-leagues, it's them that need to be bold. You just need to keep it going.
Currently in 15k position. I want to reach the top 1k. Yeah if I did go all out for change I could end up making it worse by removing good point scorers. I guess maybe finding a balance between the essential players and looking to find some differentials in your squad.

I think they key is not to shift players just because they have a high ownership, but rather shift them at the right time (i.e. when their form starts to decline and fixtures start to tighten up)
Sess is a good example this week. Fixtures are average, the honeymoon period with the new manage may be wearing off and they haven't had too much attacking threat of late.
Dempsey still has the fixtures at the moment but if he doesn't regain his form, people will have to make a tough call.
If there's no-one good enough to replace them then it's a difficult call. At the moment the options are Morrison or Siggy. I'd be happy to get rid of Sess for one of them but I wouldn't move Dempsey as well.
I think the best thing to do is to keep an eye on form and fixtures over the short-mid term and don't be afraid to get rid of a player before everyone else does.
but these drops seem to be random, FPL seem to pick and chose when to drop the value.

Arsenal in PL starting with Ramsey this season:
21 Games: 10W 3D 8L, goal difference 36-31
Ramsey sub appearance:
2 Games: 1W 1D, goal difference 3-2
Without Ramsey:
3 Games played: 3W, goal difference 14-4
At this point, too little data to make conclusions but a trend is emerging here don't you think. Ramsey, nothing personal.
Two of those three games were against Blackburn and Sunderland (under Steve Bruce) at home, games Arsenal should win comfortably.
Remember when Spurs hadn't won something like 25 (or whatever) games in a row that Bale had played? He used to be mocked on here quite a bit. Ramsey is young, he'll be a very very good player, of that I've no doubt.
In my opinion Ramsey just gives the ball away too much. Hasty and inexperienced decision making. That is something most people justify because of his young age. Well, he turns 22 this year, soon it's time to make or break.
Just been looking at Arsenal's fixtures and on paper they look pretty good. Only Man Cty and Chelsea of any note to come and both at home !!
If he plays like he did in 2nd half agst Spurs then yes !!

My philosophy is: one trabsfer cannot make a big difference. It is only one player among the 11. Even if he gets 2 pts, no catatrophy. You have other 10 to get you points. But if he gets 10 pts, that is already a difference.
I did for example today Bale out for Adam. Risk? Sure. Worse thing that can happen is that he will get twice 2pts. Catastrophy? No. How many times Silva, Bale, nani etc brpught me two pointers. But if Adam gets 10 pts in DGW, I will be the king.

6th in total points scored for midfielders but if you are bringing him in you need to be patient, even more so than with Nani. Need to leave him there for the remainder of the season unless someone makes an unexpected move up the rankings

Nope - it looks good. Bale obviously a doubt but your subs look OK so I would hold fire. Only thing that you may want to consider is offloading Sess - some think he's coming to the end of his usefulness (but personally I would wait on this one).
I'd get rid of Bale if you have the extra freebie... Nani seems the obvious switch or Adam..

I would consider playing Taiwo over Santon.
Sure to be goals in the derby and Taiwo has a decent chance of a clean sheet and attacking returns, also after this week you wont get a chance to play him again really due to fixtures, so he is worth one last roll of the dice.

I have both on the bench. Just dropped Santon for Taiwon't. Go with Santon as Spurs are alot more dangerous going forward. Doubt either will get a CS though.

Not a chance. If it only for a week or so I think it is pointless. You’d want him back for the rest of the games. Those who have only recently bought I could make a case for selling and buying back, but not if you have had him for ages.
Fair enough, I'd lose 0.4 (less if he drops whilst out) and the fixtures don't clear up until GW31 so I'm not so attached to him as others are.
Look at the rest of your team you're probably right to save the transfer and have 2 to play with next week - I'm not going to argue with someone at your rank anyway 😉
