Chelsea tonight booked their passage to the FA Cup Quarter-Finals with a 2-0 win at Birmingham. The victory ensures that they will face Leicester City on March 18. This means that their league fixture for that weekend – the trip to Man City which was scheduled for Monday March 19 is now postponed. Both Chelsea and Man City now have a missing fixture in Gameweek 29.

Having seen the other FA Cup postponements shifted to midweek later in Gameweek 29, we can anticipate that the same fate will befall this match with Wednesday March 21 the likely date.

We will hopefully get confirmation of the rescheduled match very soon. For now, however, the season tickers will be updated to show a blank fixture in Gameweek 29 for both teams.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Richards to Skrtel for a 4pt hit (8 pt hit in total). Would you or wouldn't you.

No, keep Richards for this last week. I have the exact same choice and will leave it a week and do Richards to Enrique/Skrtel in GW29.

That team has a fantastic core of

      Vorm
4 defenders of which I would downgrade one
      Bale Dempsey
      RVP Rooney

BUT 4 cheap players in the front 8 is not going to work. Downgrade Kompany to Williamson and upgrade accordingly.

Early days, I think Hughes prefers Traores experience at the moment, not an easy league for players to adjust so late in the season. Very handy to have he there in the squad, plus hughes will be working on his fitness level, which must have been way short on arrival.

Sorry mate didn't see. I thought Traore has been excellent, Clint Hill has been very impressive too and i would actually be happy to see him keep his place. I wonder will Diakite come back in after costing us Fulham match, I'd bring in Cisse for Derry and opt go for 4-4-2 and reckon we can cause Bolton lot of trouble like we did to Wolves before the red card. Just keep 11 on the pitch and I'm confident of 3 points!

SWP - Buzz- Barton _ Adel
            Cisse - Zamora

Bolton defence especially minus Cahill will struggle to deal with that in my opinion.

I agree, feel he needs to settle with a team. Diakite was just over keen, I hope he fits in, he will make the differance, covers some ground, will work his socks off.

Hughes or the captain should have told him to relax as the red card was inevitable the way he was carrying on, I think we will beat Bolton and kick on from there. If we loose we are definitely doomed, we are early kick off on Sky so I think I will stay on dry Friday night to get up early for pub. No need for shít streams!

who shud my 4th and 5th mids be

    young and siggy
    nani and surman
valencia and anybody not over 7m???

currently leaning towards nani and surman as surman will be benched much of the time and nani has the potential for an explosive score

I wasn't *really* trying to troll on 'Pool supporters, and 'waiter' is certainly nicer than what I've read you call SAF 😉

Would you say that he was a good manager? I'd honestly say he ran your club into the ground --- but that's admittedly an outsiders opinion.

I know you weren't KE! I have called Ferguson worse things on here, you're right!
Most LFC supporters hate the fact that SAF was knighted and Bob Paisley never was...but that's for another night..you can't argue with SAFs record.

Benitez has LFC fans split 50/50 really. I wouldn't say he ran the club into the ground..that only happened due to the crazy owners at the time.
I think he's one of the best managers in Europe at "organizing" a team not to lose a match, especially in Europe. Most of his signings were awful but one or two were brilliant.. a young lad called Fernando jumps to mind.

Saying all that, by the end, I had changed sides and wanted him to go.

I'd agree he seemed much more suited to the European games. But his signings and his compulsive, almost fetishistic, need to rotate seemed more self-destructive than valuable. I think he rotated his way right out of a league title back a few years ago ...

And he seemed to just go batty near the end. Fact. 😉

I get the impression that managers like Benitez, Wenger, and Dalglish rely so heavily on uni-national (not a word, but you might get my drift) signings [Spain, France, England/Britain] because their scout networks/personnel are from there. But why, in this age, can't clubs/managers create better multi-national scouting teams to better cull from more areas?

Something tells me this billion-GBP footy club/managing lark isn't as simple as FPL 😀

Thanks for the 'Pool view, RCA.

I assume you mean Taiwo to Evans? I made same transfer for free but its hardly worth a 4 point hit in my opinion but get him out soon, Traore seems to have taken Taiwo's place and rightfully so as he has been very poor plus Evans has favourable fixtures.

Only if you have other transfers planned next week and the week after etc. Sometimes it's better to get it over and done with for a hit even if it's for a defender. Otherwise if you have nothing planned for next week then wait and do it then for free.

      Well this week would be

      Schwarzer (Vorm)
      Skrtel, Taiwo, Kelly (Simpson, Caulker)

With Taiwo and Kelly doubts, and Newcastle and Swansea likely to concede.

I want Evans for the future, and have transfers planned vaguely to get Rooney in after this week, but having Evans would strengthen my defence 😉

I did an 8 point hit:

    Aguero out Rooney in
    Ba out Holt in
    Shawcross out Skrtel in
    Sessegnon out Y Toure in

    My final team:

    Mignolet
    Skrtel Lescott Riise
    Bale Dempsey Y Toure Nani
    Holt RVP (C) Rooney

    Bench: Krul Moses Taiwo Simpson

I really don't think anyone can give a real anaswer to this. Both of them have the potential to explode and both of them have the potential to do absolutely nothing. Due to form I would say Young slightly edges it, but really doesn't mean much with these 2 players.

Has only played a handful of premiership games to date, an International championship is a massive ask. Faded dramatically in the second half.

I sort of agree with you. I'm using Frazier Campbell as the benchmark. If he can get called up, then Ox definitely should be.

In reality I would probably want to see Ox play a lot more before I really considered him. If he stays injury free and Arsene gives him a good run out between now and the Summer, then I think he's got a great chance.

I missed the game last night - live in HK so didn't think the 4am wake up call was justified since we were 4-0 down. Sounds like we gave it a great go though. Unlucky not to get the 4th? Any stand out performers?

Oxlade was sensational. As was Rosicky. Players faded in the second half and we lacked quality on the bench. Koscielny was brilliant and Vermaelen was a lot better then he has been in recent weeks.

Yeah, Arsenal had all the momentum, and almost all the chances in the first half, after the break Milan came out to frustrate, rather than trying to score and kill the game off which made it difficult for Arsenal, especially once two of the brighter sparks, Walcott and the Ox were replaced with Chamakh and Park who didn't add anything to the attack and left it all on RVP. He didn't have a great game, he really should've put his chance away early in the second half - keeper on the floor, he chips it but the guy makes a great double save.

Rosicky probably the best performer, though Gibbs and Sagna did well too.

I currently have it on Suarez right now, but Van Persie and Rooney are both more than capable of beating his double gameweek score with 1 game. Don't think Suarez has scored double figures all season, therefore I guess we can hope for a goal a game from him at best.

        We shall see.

Looks good, I heard that Ox limped off at the end of the game today though... Not sure how serious it is. He'd definitely a prospect. I guess with him, just like Richards the risk is always going to be rotation. Other than that it looks solid. I'm planning to bring in BAE in a week or two for Enrique.

At the moment I'm planning to captain Rooney. As the GW approaches I'll probably change my mind and give it to RVP though...

    bye bye aguero and sesse.

    My team is now

Krul/Vorlm (I'm in trouble with keepers this GW)
Kompany, Jose E, Evans (Raylor 1st sub; Taiwo 3rd)
Bale, Pilkie, Silva, Demps (McClean 2nd sub)
    Roo Baa Pers

I decided not to jump in pavel-wagon because already drop out 3 rises. I still believe in Ba(d?). Bale is my concern. Is he an attacking player any more. Raylor I almost wanted to have on field, but as 1st sub he might have his change.

    Vorm/ lindegaard
Skrtel bae shawx/ santon de laet
    Demps nani bale Barton/ mcclean
Rvp ba Suarez (c). 2.2 in bank

Already done aguerro and Richards to suarez (don't believe I done it afta I promised myself!) and skrtel. Totally in favour of a -4 on a dgw so do I:-

    1. Bale- adam
    2. Shawx- Enrique
    3. Barton- Henderson
    4. Any of above 3 for summat everton.
    5. Forget about the hit and roll with wat I got.
