Fantasy Football Scout are pleased to announce the sixth instalment of the open-to-all free-to-enter Paddy Power Cup competition. Your chance to join our previous winners – donnellyc, Jonty, Goonerdave, Ninja_Fit_Saints and reigning champ sleepingmaster – in our hall of fame starts now. For full details, including the fantastic prizes on offer once more, read on…

What is the Paddy Power Cup?

The Paddy Power Cup is our version of the Fantasy Premier League’s (FPL) Fantasy Cup game. Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores). In the event of a tie, the Manager with highest rank in the overall standings will progress.

How do I enter?

As with the Members Paddy Power Cup, entry for the competition is simple, just follow this link and fill out the form as required. A confirmation email will be sent shortly after you’ve submitted your details to acknowledge your entry has been received. Just like the FPL, multiple entries to the Cup are not permitted. Please ensure that you enter your FPL Team Id details correctly, any entries added incorrectly will not be entered into the qualifying round.

This cup is open to Members and Non-Members alike.

When does it start?

All entries received before the Gameweek 29 deadline will be entered into the qualifying round. We will then have 512 qualifiers for the first round – those 507 managers with the top scores in gameweek 29 (plus our five previous winners) will progress to the first round proper, which will be played in gameweek 30. Again, FPL standing will decide who progresses in the event of tied positions.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?

Results from the qualifying round will be published around 24 hours after gameweek 29 has been completed and the draw for the first round will then follow.

When are the fixtures released?

The fixture list for each round will be published a day or two before each gameweek deadline.

Are there prizes?

Sponsors Paddy Power are supplying the competition with some great prizes and we’re supplementing these with Amazon Vouchers. The prizes break down as follows:

  • Winner – £150 worth of free bets. £50 Amazon Voucher
  • Runner-up – £75 worth of free bets. £30 Amazon Voucher
  • 3rd Place – £50 worth of free bets. £20 Amazon Voucher

Although entry is open to all, entrants will need a Paddy Power account and be aged 18 and over to be eligible for some of the above prizes. Prizes are also subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions.

If you’ve yet to register a Paddy Power account, then you can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register and bet £10.

If you’re going to bet with Paddy Power, always gamble responsibly.

Stick with Nani and Mata for now and concentrate on removing the disgusting Drenthe from my team?

With the exception of Drenthe, that's a very decent team. Nani to Young would be a transfer I'd suggest, but if you like Nani, then yes, Drenthe out would be a priority.

I'd keep Mata mate, Chelsea's fixtures set to change in a couple of weeks and he rotates perfectly with Clint, which is great since both of them only perform at home.

Wouldn't take a 12pt hit. I'd be tempted by option A, as Rooney is playing Wolves and so you're likely to get your 4pts back, plus perhaps more.

pretty happy after a 60 (-4) point haul this week. positive being bringing Suarez in, negative being stuck with Drenthe. in hindsight a better move would have been to opt for Rooney instead of Suarez but heyho.

this is my team as it stands for the upcoming GW:

    Schwarzer (Mignolet)
    Kompany Enrique Simpson NTaylor (Kelly)
    Silva Bale Walters (Drenthe Surman)
    RVP Suarez Ba

    4.0 in the bank.

Could really do with some pointers as totally unsure on what to do.

    A) Keep Drenthe or ship? (Sadly don't have enought to get Nani or Young but will have enought for Valencia)

    B) Ditch Walters instead? (Would have enough to get Nani or Young)

C)Save my transfer get Rooney in for Ba next week if he does nothing against Norwich

Alternatives for A) would be appreciated, keeping in mind I am dying to get some MU cover in for their upcoming fixtures. Rooney would be the best option but Valencia / Young / Nani would probably do. Think Suarez will kick on now with a fully fit Gerrard back in the side so happy to keep him.

A post-match argument between the Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a female journalist has overshadowed the club's 2-0 win over Lecce at San Siro on Sunday.

Ibrahimovic had scored his side's second goal of the game to help Milan open a four-point lead over Juventus at the top of Serie A. The enigmatic Sweden striker was then interviewed pitchside, during which he turned away from the camera and said: "What the **** are you looking at?" at Spadini.

Its a close toss as Skrtel is a goalscoring threat from set pieces where as Enrique can grab an assist everynow again, both also pick up yellows now and again.

I'd get rid of Skrtel for Lescott.

I get the feeling Suarez is going to go back to crap. He can't score all by himself and he does not have a consistent partner. Who know when is the next time Gerrard will even play a full game.

What did I tell you about thinking before you type?

Silva is averaging only 4 points per game out of the last 12. Not good enough for a 10.4 midfielder. Morrison has pretty much averaged the same over the last 12 (only playing 10) and is 5.3. (3.7 PPG)

Just an example, but shows for sure that Silva isn't, "a requirement".

So Man City are not going into every game looking to dominate teams even more as they want that League Title which they are trailing by 1 point.

Where as Morrison is having a decent patch of form which will likely run out very soon.

SMG... You sir are lacking the simple logic that Silva is world class and is likely to score or get an assist at anytime where as Morrison is a rather average Premier League player. I hope you can understand this simple yet easily understanding point.

Do you think Morrisons greatest ever form is more likely to continue than Silva getting an assist? You answered your own question there. Also no need for the swearword, slightly inappropriate.

                Apologies.

Yes I do for the next 4 fixtures or so when West Brom have the nicest fixtures they've had all season. Yes I realise that Silva is great but he hasn't been delivering, I think it's more important to play the form player this season in terms of delivering points which Silva hasn't done for a while.

So Chelsea have three games in seven days correct? They'll be shagged by the time they play City. Rotation central, steer clear of Chelsea? Who else have a crowded figure card at the moment?

Plenty of teams with two in five? So who's a good team with only one fixture? Or is it the usual suspects of Wolves, Wigan, QPR and co?
