Nani is expected to return to training next week, according to Sir Alex Ferguson. Martin Kelly has recovered in time for Liverpool’s game with Wigan, Darron Gibson could return for Everton, Emmanuel Adebayor is still a doubt for Spurs, while John Terry is back for Chelsea.

Sir Alex Ferguson afforded a handful of his first-team squad a run-out for United reserves in the win over Villa last night. The likes of Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Fabio and Tom Cleverley were all involved, as was Paul Pogba. Ferguson confirmed the latter was subbed off as he intends to give him some game time against Fulham on Monday evening. The United boss also went on to say he expects both Nani and Michael Owen to return to training next week, casting doubts over the winger’s availability for the Old Trafford clash with the Cottagers.

Ferguson was also full of praise for the central defensive partnership struck up by Jonny Evans and Rio Ferdinand, in light of Nemanja Vidic’s season-ending knee injury. On the subject of Evans, the United boss went on to say:

He’s playing regularly and I think that helps. He is still a young player of course and when they get runs of games it helps with their consistency. His partnership with Rio has been very good. A lot of it has to do with Rio actually because he’s really helped Jonny. Jonny’s always had terrific ability and it’s good to see he’s in consistent form.

Kenny Dalglish has this morning revealed that Martin Kelly is “okay” and expected to be fit to face Wigan, after being subbed off with a knock in Wednesday’s loss at QPR. The Liverpool boss conceded he is still waiting on a fitness update on Charlie Adam – the former Blackpool was taken off at half-time at Loftus Road after twisting his knee.

Darron Gibson could be set for a return to the Everton fold this weekend, as the Toffees make their way to Swansea. The Irishman has missed the last four with a knee problem but David Moyes admitted earlier that he’s hoping the midfielder will make the trip to Wales. Moyes is clearly a big fan of the former United man, going on to say:

I think we have missed him because of what he gives us. I think he will improve and we will get used to him and when he played we were unbeaten in that period. It is difficult to weigh up exactly his importance but it may be next season before we get the best of him

Both Jack Rodwell and Seamus Coleman are struggling to make tomorrow’s game; the club’s official site revealed they are both “likely to be missing”, with hamstring and thigh injuries respectively.

Gael Givet is a doubt for Blackburn’s trip to Bolton. Steve Kean revealed the defender irritated a previous hamstring injury while warming up at half-time in Tuesday’s win over Sunderland. Givet has dropped down in the pecking order of late, though, and has failed to feature in Rovers’ last four games; with the side returning back-to-back clean sheets in the last couple of games, his absence is unlikely to affect Kean’s plans for the Lancashire derby.

Aaron Lennon will miss Tottenham’s lunchtime date at the Bridge tomorrow, after the club revealed he has failed to recover from an ongoing hamstring problem. The former Leeds man has been plagued with the issue all season and has started just four times since the end of Gameweek 14 in a frustrating stop-start campaign. Emmanuel Adebayor is still a doubt for Harry Redknapp’s side, having missed Wednesday’s home draw with Stoke due to a hamstring problem.

Charles N’Zogbia is a doubt for Villa’s trip to Arsenal tomorrow. Alex McLeish revealed he is sweating on the winger’s fitness after he picked up a knee problem in training on Thursday morning:

I hope he is all right, but he picked up a little knock in training yesterday morning. Charles had a clash of knees with one of the other players and he’s tweaked his ligament. Hopefully it will settle down before tomorrow.

Roberto Di Matteo revealed that John Terry is available for tomorrow’s match against Tottenham. The Chelsea skipper has recovered from the knee injury that caused him to miss out in Wednesday’s 2-1 loss at Chelsea, though Branislav Ivanovic remains a doubt, after being subbed off early at the Etihad due to a muscle injury. Di Matteo also revealed that Oriol Romeu has returned to full fitness- the midfielder has been bothered with a hamstring injury and has yet to feature under the Italian.

Hmmmm Walters is in such poor form, hasn't done a thing in 10 weeks!!

Morrison at least has 4 scores greater than 2-3 the past 8 weeks.

Tha being said I don't see either team really pushing for a higher finish on the table.

I'd ditch Walters and use cash elsewhere.

    I'm ranked 50,000 (1588), and I've spent over 120 points on hits.

That's not too shabby is it - still sitting 70 out the front of my mini league?

Had about 100 at last season's finish - went too far there I'll admit...

Had 3 game weeks where I took 30-40 point hits.

First 2 weeks I got consecutive 90s, then an underwhelming 50 and I crashed back down to Earth

I've never cared much for transfer penalties, if done semi-wisely ... especially when I'm fighting for the mini-league/in front of mini.

That said, I haven't taken a hit so far this year and it certainly does help.

I never make transfers angry, drunk, or before Friday night. This year, because of the BP system, if you can pay for a goal scorer, there'll be a good chance the 3 BPs would compensate for the penalty. Paying for a def/keeper is a no-no imo.

    Angers vs Guingamp.

Both teams are in a poor run of form going into this game, Angers are without a win in their last 10 games (5 draws and 5 losses) while Guingamp picked up their first win in 7 in the last round of games.

Angers have a lot of absentees for this game, two of their first choice defenders Couturier and Henin, their top goalscorer Charbonnier is another who will not feature.

Guingamp still aren't fully safe from relegation but 3 points here would go a long way. I'm going for an away win with DNB as cover @ 5/4.

Hey guys, sorry repost from before didnt get any replies, which move do you think is best this week?

    Krul (Schwarzer)
    Caulker/Skrtl/Evans (Santon/BAE)
    Valencia/Morrison/McClean/Bale (Dempsey)
    Ba/RVP/Rooney

    0FT, 4.4mil in bank

    1) Santon -> Vermaelen (could play 4-4-2 or 4-3-3)
    2) McClean/Morrison -> Walcott
    3) No further transfers

    Cheers!

I told you to about four weeks ago, but never would have two weeks ago...besides, I´m the guy that brought in Santos this past week...Santos to Verm would be so easy, but there´s no way verm scores three weeks in a row...

      I sold him 2 gameweeks ago -_-

To be fair though, it was to fund Aguero > Rooney

        Probably not, no.
        I don't see him scoring for a 3rd time in a row.

I've just got him in -.- Watch him get nada this week, wouldn't surprise me at all. Why did I get him in!?!?!? He's probably already scored his quota for the season. I'm a loser 🙁

He will still score alright given fixtures and Arsenals back 4 looking like they are working well lately, I just find it odd that 2 weeks ago nobody was even considering him,and now people are taking hits to get him in..

Why is the game updating again? Cahill's goal/assist being queried?

What do people think of F1 fantasy team? 🙂

    Hamilton
    Button
    Rosberg
    Kobayashi
    Ricciardo
    Vergne

    Constructor: McLaren

Tough choice between Rosberg and Schumacher, who would pick. What do you guys think of the choices? Thank you 🙂

      3 McLaren?
      No Ferrari & Red Bull?
      Who is your other constructor?

Red Bull are really struggling, especially for their price, and McLaren are dominating. Not sure what the story with Ferrari is.
Oh you need 2 constructors? Damn, need a bit of a rethink then.

Wouldn't sell Yaya for a hit, could well be played in a more advanced role against Stoke with Silva likely to be benched...
