DOn't mind how they calculate the points, but there really should only be 3 awards for each game - the norwich BPS are a joke!! Are there any strict rules there? i.e. could the whole team get equal BPs at some point?

    Not really - they just need a factor that would decide it - like with any ranking system (football leagues, FPL leagues etc etc). If the system is constantly throwing 'draws' then there's something wrong with it.

    Yes it is poor. No-one gets points for the things that don't happen. By which I mean, you can influence a game without providing 'key passes' etc.
    
    Just employ people with eyes to watch and decide, rather than monkeys to push buttons when they see a dribble or assist.

  A pure stat based bonus system could only work properly, imo, if all the weightings are absolutely spot on. That just isn't the case here, shot off target being the absolutely obvious one.
  
  I just think a 'man in the stands' approach is so much better. It's subjective, yes, but hits the nail on the head more often I think.

    Its going to be subjective whatever happens, and since theres only pride at stake, I'm much happier with the mystery points awarded by FPL towers in recent seasons than I am with any half-baked PPI index. At least with the old system you got the idea that someone actually watched the game, discussed it and then made decisions - however wrong or right.

  I think people are missing a point here, there is a reason we do it on PPI and unfortunately it comes down to cold hard cash.
  
  Have you seen PPI reference on the fantasy page? No. Because it's always EA's Player Perfomance Index, and EA will have paid a packet to make sure its badge is attached to every mention of it.
  
  Unfortunately, I can't see FPL dropping it due to the fact that they probably make a sizeable amount of money. I think we just need to hope that the PPI calculations get better, perhaps even simplified.

  With FFS influencing more and more of the FPL system (e.g. The Scout), it would be great to see the ICT Index used for deciding bonus points. In most cases it gives a much better view on who were the better players in a match (like Rooney being the second best after Valencia last week) since it takes into consideration many more factors.

    Me too - I remember a the beginning of the season when Young scored his 20+ points, I had him (c) all week as a punt only to be put off it by everyone on here!!!! Ultimately its my decision of course, but I felt ill when he scored all of those points!!!!!!!

Morning FPL community.

I'm struggling with deciding on my 2 FT this week, got £2.2m in the bank with the following team:-

Krul, Migs,
Skrtel, Evans, Cahill, Simpson, Kelly
Bale, Young, Demps, McClean, Siggy
Ba, RVP, Rooney.

I'm thinking of getting rid of Ba & Skrtel, can't decide if I should go for

1. Verm
2. Walker.
3. BAE

As for Ba I'm thinking a swap for Ade.

Yaya-->Valencia looks like it was a terrible terrible transfer. My season has been full of these missed opportunities...

Speaking of which, can someone please kidnap Dempsey, Rooney or Valencia? You can treat them super nice, even give them tea and biscuits, so long as they don't play this evening. (McClean first sub) :'(

Who do you think will win?

Me: 20 points with Rooney, Valencia, Evans, Dempsey and Kelly left to play.
Opponent: 33 points with Dempsey left to play.

Note: Bonus points have been included.

Analysis: Leaving Dempsey out, assuming 4 of those players start and collect 8 points altogether, this means I only require 5 points from any of them to level him, or more to surpass. What do you reckon and who do you think will most likely win?

      Fair enough. Most people would prefer McClean and hope Valencia be benched because McClean is a guaranteed. Valencia is and has not.
