Premier League champions Manchester United close out Gameweek 30 at home to Fulham. With a seemingly routine opportunity to open a three-point gap over city rivals, the Dugout Discussion opens to witness the potential fantasy points feast.

The team news for the clash at Old Trafford is in. Here is how the two sides line-up…

Man Utd XI: De Gea, Evra, Ferdinand, Evans, Rafael, Carrick, Giggs, Valencia, Rooney, Young, Welbeck.

Fulham XI: Schwarzer, Kelly, JA Riise, Hangeland, Hughes, Diarra, Dempsey, Pogrebnyak, Duff, Frei, Dembele.

Sir Alex makes two changes from the eleven that battered Wolves last week, with Ryan Giggs and Ashley Young replacing Paul Scholes and Javier Hernandez respectively.

Three changes for the visitors with Aaron Hughes, Kerim Frei and Damian Duff coming in for Philippe Senderos, Andrew Johnson and Bryan Ruiz.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and can be accessed right here.

Think I'm going to attempt saving a transfer this week, nothing quite appealing enough. Here's hoping I can get through the week without JoA or anyone persuading me a transfer is needed! 🙂

Won my H2H's as well, bit of a surreal feeling....

    Morning fellow fantasy addicts.

Does it look like Jevans has been given license to get forward or do we think his attacking returns are just a one off (twice).?

He's our Vermaelen (obviously not as big an attacking threat though). I wouldn't say he's been given license to get forward, but out of the 2 CB's it's always going to be him bringing the ball out of defence, and in the game when we're dominating position he gets forward a bit. Both his attacking returns have come from corners though(yesterday where stayed up after the corner had been cleared and got his reward), and he's a big threat despite only scoring his 1st goal last week.

I'd say he has been unlucky not to get any attacking stats before last week.
I remember vs QPR he could have had a hat-trick.

    Bale Walcott Valencia Siggy Moses
    RVP Rooney Ba
    Bank: 1,6

I plan to send both Ba and Moses until GW32. Which one would you prefer to replace them? :
    A - Adebayor and McClean

    C - Cisse and Sessegnon

Tired? You only just bought Drog in!!!
You won't get anywhere in this game if you keeping jumping between players and taking 4 point hits in the process.
Skrtel to Baines is good if you can afford it alone. If not , LEAVE IT!

Wally is safer, VdV is more of a punt but one with a higher ceiling - I'd say it depends if you are chasing a lead and need to take a risk or can be conservative.
      I'd go VdV though.

Morning all, defence this week will currently be:
    Krul (LIV) [Mingolet (mci)]
Kelly (NOR) Evans (bla) Verm (qpr) [Skrtel (new), Simpson (LIV)]

    So do you think:

    A) Kelly > Kaboul
    B) Skrtel > Baines
    C) Krul > Hart
    D) Krul > Friedel

You keepers rotate quite well after this week and you can field a decent team. Has to be a save? Although Krul seems a poor choice this weekend, Newcastle pull cleanies out of nowhere sometimes.

Somehow gone from an 8 point hit to saving the transfer from yesterday then.
At least Krul has a decent chance of save points against Liverpool.

Just realised I am through to the 2nd round of UCL even after a loss. A win means I come 1st on H2H & a loss means I come 2nd on GD. 🙂

Trust me TM I did consider it. But I'm just terrible in knockout h2h's (like the FFS Cups) - I bet my poor performances in the last 2 weeks would have seen me out anyways.

think im done.. :(. newman-cini got lucky against me when i should have beaten him in the away fixture, then at home i fell asleep and missed my traansfer which screwed me over and then probably lost this week on the road w/ a 4pt hit that didnt work out too well (ba, taiwo, sess out and yak, evans, valencia in) looked like a good trade though

I was so close but will have to wait till next gw. If Flynn and I have the identical teams after exactly the same transfer hits we both qualify for the ucl - It's a simple solution to guarantee my passage in ucl.

Me: Bogdan, Skrtel, Caulker, Shotton, Valencia, Walcott, Siggy, Surman

i guess i have a luxury problem really.

    current team for GW31:

    Krul
    BAE, JEvans, Skrtel
    Siggy, Bale, Demps, Young
    RvP, PCisse, Rooney

    Mig, McClean, McAuley, Caulker

really wanted to get Vermaelen in this week but can’t really afford that switch unless i do Young > Valencia to free up funds (0.1m short) but that would mean a -4 hit (and also mean that I lose my Young differential in my ML)

Skrtel > Komp as a 2nd option and wait until GW33 before bringing in Verm?

anyone see any other areas that need attention?

I think that's a good move. I just brought him in myself. Fixtures aren't spectacular, but I have confidence that their form will continue.

I was kind of amazed at just how much I have to do with my team to get it ready for Gameweek 34. I think it may sneak up on quite a few fantasy managers. Took an 8 point hit already this week, Williamson, Young and Dempsey out for Vermaelen, Walcott and Valencia. Still have to make another 3 transfers in the coming weeks just to be able to get a full team of eleven out for GW34!
