I hate double Gameweeks. So often false dawns for Fantasy managers, they can promise so much and deliver so little leaving you frustrated and left to clear the ugly remnants of some hurried squad surgery. Then again – the announcement of the latest slew of doubles may just have left the door ajar for me to close the mini-league gap on Mark. Our host was certainly wriggling uncomfortably in his chair during today’s recording, pondering the damage that the Gameweek 34 blanks could inflict and the surge in points that Gameweeks 35 and 36 could bring.

In truth we hardly had time to digest the full picture before dragging ourselves into the studio. Like giggling schoolgirls at a One Direction concert, we were giddy with excitement and largely incoherent with our speech. Still, in and amongst the usual regulars, you might just find something of value amongst the jibberings.

    Just asking but I see the FA Cup Final falls into GW37, will the cancelled fixtures be rearranged to midweek because all the GW38 games have to be played at the same time???

      If you're not chasing a lead I wouldn't bother... not as pool have looked strong at the back recently so you never know Ba may come up with something. I'm shipping him out as a need some differentials but would be looking at Ade, Cisse or Jelavic (I'm thinking of Jelavic to free up funds)

        Doosra is urdu for 'other'. A cricket delivery invented by saqlain mushtaq, a pakistani off spin bowler. this delivery spins the other way (from leg side to off side for a RH batsman) than a normal delivery.

        Is that why Doosra is called doosra?

    Speaking of the Bottom 5 league, how far do you think a team of Jarvis, Yak, Moses, Al Habsi (the team everyone has) etc could go in the prem?

    Krul (Mig)
    Evans, Shotton, Enrique (Lescott) (Simpson)
    Bale, Demps, McClean, Valenca (Siggy)
    Rooney, RVP, Ba

    Looking at Ba -> Jelavic & McClean -> Walcott for (-4) as I have the same team as a guy who's 25 points ahead. I know the defense isn't great but really like the look of Walcott at the mo and (barring price rise) I can do that switch now and sort out the defense next week.

    Any thoughts gentlemen?

    Without injuries/bans

    GW34....how many players will you have playing (and how many points hits)

              Gerrard won't be rested IMO, unless absolutely necessary.

              Otherwise it'll be Spearing and Hendo in the centre and that could be a disaster.
              Though Henderson might do better than Adam at least, no attacking threat though.

      Fifa is surprisingly a mental game. If you go into a match "tired" or complacent, you will find that your opponent will score very quickly. Ive won quite a few matches from opponents getting complacent at half time.

    Already done skrtel--->verm with a FT. Want another striker in for Ba, will cost me -4. My mini league leader has got in Jelavic this week (as well as Evans and Valencia, we both have united trinity). He is 150 pts ahead of me, I have called the chase off but still have banter with him about how our players are doing. I was considering Jelavic too, but now want someone else in. So narrowed it down to, who to take

    1 - P.Cisse - has DGW36
    2 - Odem - i can field 11 in GW34, currently plan for 10
    3 - Sturridge - DGW 36
    4 - Crouch - good fixtures, double coming up soon
    5 - Pog - fixtures not great until DGW

        Should be get news on Stoke v Everton later today then? If that is announced then I may go crouch as he has good short term fixtures. Plus I want to do something different to leader if I get Jelavic we will have like 7/8 players the same.

        In other mini league which I am top by 5pts both Cisse, Crouch and Jelavic will be differentials.

    Here we go, the BIG plan!!!

    Current Team

    Vorm • Sorenson
    Evans • Enrique • Simpson • Turner • Caulker
    Valencia • Bale • Sigurdson • Dempsey • Walcott
    RVP • Rooney • Yakubu

    GW32: Dempsey-->>Miyaichi
    GW33: Simpson-->>Vermaelen
    GW34: Nothing

    To leave me with this for GW34

    Vorm • Sorenson(NP)
    Evans • Caulker • Vermaelen • Turner • Enrique(NP)
    Valencia • Sigurdsson • Walcott • Miyaichi(NP) • Bale(NP)
    RVP • Rooney • Yakubu

    GW35: Vermaelen + Vorm-->>Walker + Friedel
    GW36: Turner + Walcott-->>Cahill + Gerrard -4

    Giving me SEVEN DGW Players

    Friedel(DGW) • Sorenson
    Caulker • Cahill(DGW) • Walker(DGW) • Enrique(DWG) • Evans
    Sigurdsson • Gerrard(DGW) • Miyaichi(DGW) • Bale(DGW) • Valencia

    Gonna look like this for GW34 assuming everything goes to plan:

    Mignolet
    Vermaelen / Caulker / Evans / Richards
    McClean / Walcott / Siggy / Valencia
    RVP (c) / Rooney

    with Bogdan / Bale / Enrique / Cisse on the bench

    Save transfer GW35 so I have 2 free transfers GW36. 8 point hit
    Mignolet --> Friedel
    Vermaelen --> Cahill
    Richards --> Baines
    Rooney --> Adebayor

    Presenting a GW 36 starting XI of:

    Friedel
    Baines / Cahill / Enrique / Caulker
    Bale / Siggy / McClean
    Cisse / RVP / Adebayor(c)

    Walcott / Valencia / Evans subs
    7 DGW players, what do you think?

        maybe but cant see him doing much away at sunderland (good home record and decent team at the moment) and swansea wont be pushed over, but yeah he defo still has points potential cos its manu and rooney.

        despite this I feel Cisse RVP and Adebayor will match /outscore with an additional gameweek in their locker as well,
