An inspired display from Antonio Valencia helps stretch United’s lead at the top over City. Ashley Young also gets amongst the goals as the champions leave it late at Blackburn, while Wayne Rooney draws a blank for the second time in three Gameweeks.

Antonio Valencia
A goal and assist from the Ecuadorian continued an outstanding run of form that has firmly established him as United’s prime midfield Fantasy asset. Since cementing a role on the right flank back in Gameweek 14, Valencia has produced attacking returns in nine of his fourteen appearances, with five double figure points hauls indicative of his explosive performances. Having missed three games with a hamstring strain, his price dropped as low as 7.5 as recent as Gameweek 29 but Valencia has already risen 0.6 since, with his paltry 10% ownership continuing to rapidly climb. He’s now level with Gareth Bale in terms of point per game, with an average of 5.8, and with (QPR, wig, AVL, EVE) up next, the points look set to keep flowing.

Ashley Young and Wayne Rooney
With Nani still sidelined, Young looked to be the main contender for the left wing position but yesterday’s team sheet caused consternation, with Rooney moved to the flank as Young sat on the bench. Although Rooney was switched centrally later on, his Fantasy managers will be far from enamoured with last night’s turn of events ahead of United’s upcoming run. The same applies to Young; although the former Villa man sealed the victory with a late second, he was afforded just 12 minutes by Sir Alex Ferguson at Ewood Park last night and, with the likes of Danny Welbeck also filling in on the flanks in recent weeks, it appears his game time is far from guaranteed.

Jonny Evans
Still with under 12% Fantasy ownership, the centre-half continued his superb recent run of returns with a fourth consecutive clean sheet at Ewood Park. With a goal, assist and four bonus points also accrued over those matches, Evans has returned 37 points since the start of Gameweek 28; Rooney, in comparison, has picked up 26 points. Evans is now up to 5.2, and with almost 100,000 bringing him in over the last fortnight, a hike in price is again on the cards as more arrive late to the party.

Rafael
Finally free from injury, the Brazilian maintained his recent starting berth against Blackburn. Despite the likes of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling both offering alternatives for the right-back role, Rafael has now started the last three for United and seems to be cementing his place as first-choice under Ferguson. An assist for Valencia’s opener last night means he has now picked up attacking returns or bonus in each of those three appearances – with three clean sheets also thrown in, an average of 9 points per game and ownership of less than 1% could be tempting for those Fantasy managers who have yet to invest in Evans.

Would it be foolish to hold onto Silva? I was gonna get rid for Walcott or Sessegnon, but maybe worth holding onto players who play in GW34.

Graham (home to Newcastle) or McClean (home to Spurs) this week?

Leaning towards Graham as no one in and around me in my leagues has him whereas some have McClean. However, I do slightly prefer McClean all things considered.

Of course, if for some reason Graham isn't starting, I'll know this prior to deadline and go McClean.

Bought Caulker this week as I prep for 34....mad to consider benching him for Kompany? I'll already have Vorm in net and Siggy outfield, not sure I want to treble up this week and City/Arsenal seems the sort of game where Komp could nick a crucial goal.

This is yet another week where everything would be much simpler if I'd never sold Danny Simpson.

What are Cahill owners doing? I doubt he'll play in both dgw fixtures and before that he has blank/ars. Seems a waste to transfer out a dgw player though but is that what everyone else is doing?

My current selection for gw 32 is
    Vorm
    Enrique (AVL), Evans, BAE
    McClean (TOT), Walcott, Bale, Valencia
    Rooney, RVP, Odem

Ruddy, Dempsey (bol), Caulker (NEW), Kompany

I'm happy with nine of the players, but the last two slots currently taken up with Enrique and McClean are causing me a headache.

Enrique: Fantasy wise he's fallen off the cart, and liverpool's defence is doo-doo
McClean: Playing well, but as I'm playing BAE part of me hopes he has an off day and I should bench him
Dempsey: leaves his magic boots at home
Caulker: Playing at home, which is good. Playing Newcastle with "2 Goals" Cisse, which is bad. And I'm also playing Vorm.

Am I playing the right two? and is my bench in the right order? Help would be appreciated.

      1) dont do the schwarzer to howard one and save yourself 4pts?

Dempsey has a DGW and a lovely GW37 fixture, do you really value Bale that highly given that you have Ade and VDV? Plus getting rid of BAE who has a nice double makes no sense. I'd just stick with Dempsey and BAE.

There is a lot of double game week talk here, notably the notion that we should load up on Spurs/Chelsea players for it. One note of caution though is that one of them, plus one of Liv/Eve will have the FA Cup final on the Saturday and may rest key players in the second game of that gameweek. It's going to be interesting as I think it might blow up in some people's faces, especially if they are taking hits.

GW34 is the SF so we will know what transfers to be bringing in GW35/36 with regards to loading up on DGW players. But yeah people don't want to be going daft loading up on as many as they can with potential rest for players who face the FA Cup final 3 days after the 2nd DGW fixture.

Liverpool/Everton may well rest players but Spurs and Chelsea are likely to be involved in either the battle for 3rd or 4th so will still be focusing strongly on the league.

Also, Stoke and Man City were in a similar situation last year and they didn't really rest players, bar Tevez.

I think it's pretty clear from many posts on here that the things we see are based on which players we own. Who's to say that the person at FPL towers who makes the final call doesn't also suffer from this 'problem'?

bale + 2 out of ade, vdv, bae
      baines
      rvp
      cisse
      simpson
some chelsea player or two but idk who....
enrique if you are going without bae
      sess
      siggy

      so maybe something like this:

      vorm/mig
      baines, simpson, enrique
      bale, vdv, sess, siggy
      rvp, cisse, ade

you could fit in a chelsea player or two if you wanted. same goes with fulham or pool players if you wanna add em in too

With the fact that Pogrebnyak is most likely out, he'll start Oop behind Johnson, or maybe even up front as striker. That'll sway it for me. But I like this Holt fella.

      -get rid of jelavic
-never bench a newc defender at home

Guy help with my team for next week? Don't know who to sub..
    So far I have

    Vorm (NEW)
JEvans (QPR) Enrique (AVL) BAE (sun)*
Siggy(NEW) Valencia (QPR) Bale (sun) Walcott (MCY)
    Pogrebnyak(bol) RVP (MCY) Roonpig (QPR)

Krul (swa); McClean (TOT), Kelly (bol), Kompany (ars)

I feel mcclean should be in there but who to take out? pog perhaps? he is injured anyway 75% chance of playing. Also, backs alright?

vorm vs krul... thats a tough one! guess you've gotta go with the home team. though i feel the attacking trio of newcastle is much more dangerous than siggy and whoever else from swans atm

i'd only start mcclean over pog, otherwise first bench looks good
and only change i might make is kelly in for enrique or bae... but if not then leave it
