As the April 8 amnesty draws near, there are now just three names sitting in wait of the Damoclean sword that will seal their fate. With just one Gameweek left to negotiate for all our protagonists before the bar is raised to 15 yellows after Sunday, our trio are nearing the end of their uncomfortable journeys.

Having successfully come through losses at QPR and Wigan respectively without cautions, long term incumbents Laurent Koscielny and Ryan Shawcross will move on to their weekend match ups as the Easter schedule heats up.

Shawcross welcomes Wolves to the Britannia and need to stay on the good side of Mike Halsey, whose yellow card average is amongst the lowest in the league (2.38 cards per game but no reds in 16 previous fixtures). Koscielny entertains Manchester City at the Emirates in Sunday’s final showdown and will be keen to stay out of Martin Atkinson’s notebook; Atkinson already blinks on our radar as a flasher of reds – he has pulled out a table-topping eight in 24 games this year and also has an above average yellow count (3.33 per game).

Joining those previous two faces for company on this final week rollercoaster is the QPR captain Joey Barton. Booed by his own fans following a poor display in the win over Liverpool, Barton took to the programme at the weekend to call for some unity ahead of the difficult run. Never one to miss an opportunity, he also responded on the pitch with an improved performance and a ninth yellow card in the win over Arsenal – more representative of the Barton we’ve been accustomed to seeing this year – and earned himself a place on the high wire. Barton’s fixture is another tough one as he takes his QPR team to Old Trafford and a date with the current league leaders, but with Lee Mason at the helm of this one (2.65 yellows per game and no reds in 20 previous fixtures) Barton may be relaxed about the chances of reaching the suspension limit.

Finally it’s away from the potentials and on to the immediate bad boys, and while Djibril Cissé continues to serve his time, It’s the unlikely shape of Pepe Reina who goes to join him on the naughty step. Guilty of an attempted head-butt in the loss to Newcastle, Liverpool’s Spanish stopper gave referee Martin Atkinson little choice than to add to his reputation, even if the theatrics of recipient James Perch were a little on the dramatic side. Reina will now sit out the next three games for the Anfield club, with Gameweek 32 and 33 followed by the FA Cup Semi-final against Everton. Brazilian Doni will presumably step in to relive José Enrique for that spell.

GAMEWEEK 32 BANS

  • Pepe Reina (LIV) – 1 Red for violent conduct (first of 3 matches)
  • Djibril Cissé (QPR) – 1 Red for serious foul play (second of 4 matches)

If you go on the league of your choice, then on the far-right hand side, there is a drop down menu, with 'OVERALL' the default. Click that and select the appropriate month, then hit FILTER to the right of that.

Tough choice there. I'd narrow it down to one of Demps, Bale or Graham. The first two because they are away and Graham because you have Siggy as well. Graham is the more obvious call but I hate dropping forwards playing at home.

Ah, Bale. Or Graham. Toss a coin. Sorry for the useless response.

The Utd trinity have truly saved me this week! Fell 202 places to 1238 overall.

Still can't decide what to do with David Silva - if only he didn't have a game in GW 34 it'd make my decision so much easier!

Here here. it's probably blind faith, but no matter how burnt out etc he's apparently looked lately, he's still always capable of producing.

Plus, it's an absolute hassle transferring him out, especially with so many teams having a blank in GW 34.

He won't be rotated, and has decent attacking potential with 6 assists this year.
Although I can afford him with a high team value.
QPR/NEW *bench* BLA looks alright, and they've kept 4 out of 5 clean sheets in their last 5 at home.

Wouldn't be so sure about no rotation, they've got a lot of games to play in not very long (especially if they keep winning in the cups). Can't see him playing every game, it's just in which competition he gets rested.

My team for this weekend as it stands:

    Vorm
    Kompany, Evans, Assou-Ekotto
    Sigurdsson, Miyaichi, Bale, Dempsey, Gerrard
    Rooney C, RVP

    Subs: Mignolet, Pogrebnyak, Simpson, Senderos

I have two freebies. I'm going to do Gerrard out, Valencia in. Is it worth doing another, like Senderos out for someone, or keep the free transfer?

Jizz my pants. I just checked the guy top of my league's team. He's mad 1 transfer and now has 5.7m in the bank; I've got lovely feeling he's just jettisoned RVP!!!!!!!!!

    Siggie (qpr), sessegnon (WOL),

    OR

    Walcott (wol), WIG

Basically, do I get in Sessegnon or Walcott for Dempsey in GW33. All goes well, I will then switch to VDV

Anybody has a link for predicted lineups for UCL? Especially the Real M lineup concerns me. I think I will bring Callejhon he is my best transfer in history of fantasy football. When I brought him for 2 weeks he brought me something like 4 goals and assist. The defense also worries me. Pepe looks like that will play because he is suspended in Primera.

Ok lads link or anybody dare to predict Real M lineup? It could be? So?

    Casillas
    Altintop, Pepe, Varane, Coentrao
    Granero, Sahin
    Callejon, Kaka, Ronaldo
    Higuain

    Thanks,

Anyone else notice how easy it it to move up the ranks this time of year? I bet most FFscout contributors are at or near their best overall ranking of the season (excluding first few GWs).
Only 12% have Evans and 11% have Valencia would indicate to me that 90% of FF players have little or no interest left in it.

I've seen plenty of people on here without 1 or both of them.
None of the top 3 on the world have Valencia for starters.

Everyone in the top 10 has Evans. Anyone active and any clue about football has Evans, which would mean 90% of people have little or no interest.

Is it not possible that they have 3 other United players? Plenty of people in my league have Rooney and then 2 from Young, Jones, Nani & Valencia.

My top two rivals in my league don't have Evans. (Which is basically why I've opened up a 60 point lead over the last month) but they pay attention. I think it's more like of the 90% who don't have Evans: 50% have no interest. 10% have a defensible reason (Like they've decided to go with Evra/De Gea or 3 United attackers) and 40% are stupid.

I'm up and down like a yo yo, moving to and from 8,000th odd to 2,700th or so since gwk 14, but must admit I am currently just 400 places shy of my season best ranking so far this season.

Lots of those in my mini league who are very competitive still don't have Evans or Valencia. Lack of funds is one reason for Valencia. I think some still wrongly think Evans will be rotated. There are also those out there that inexplicably refuse to get players from a certain team in.

Team value is key at this stage at the season and for many rooney plus valencia is a luxury they can ill afford.

...Uhhmmm...you obviously can't pick sides in advance.

The team you go with in 32 will be your team in gw 33. Autosubs will do the rest.

I am logged in to work where the FPL site is firewalled, so I was unable to check. What I was trying to ask (obviously not clearly enough) was whether each GW gives you the 'pick team' option. I will elaborate....

Along the top of the Pitch View/Data View bar you have:

            GW30 GW31 GW32 GW33.....and so on

All I was wondering was whether each GW gives you the 'pick team' option, that was all! I shall assume from your sarcastic response that the answer to my question is no.

Jolminator would just like to congratulate those who qualified from his Europa League Group: Group winners Odense (Dr Ennet) and Wisla Krakow (Alex Song). Fulham finished in 3rd place with a losing record of 2W 1D 3L - it was sweet to draw 72-72 with Odense in the final exhilarating match though!
