With almost no turnaround time between the conclusion of Gameweek 32 and the deadline for Gameweek 33, the Paddy Power Cup VI is planning ahead with a double round draw. More on that shortly. First, let’s take a quick look at how the second round panned out – for which the full set of 128 results can be viewed right here.

Two more of our former winners have fallen by the wayside, with donnellyc succumbing 60 – 52 at the hands of Azzurri2006, and Ninja_fit_saints was ousted 63 – 60 by Demi. That leaves our current holder, sleepingmaster (who beat Yeates45 63 – 60), and the Scout with his name on the trophy, Jonty (71 – 68 Dr_Ennet), as the remaining constituents for this particular band of brothers.

Mixed fortunes as well for the other remaining Scouts, as Mark (69) lost by a single point to Sheffield Rules (70), but a certain Akers beat Fenners 67 – 59.

Now, on to the third and fourth and round draws. The 64 round three fixtures can be viewed by clicking here. From that list take note of your fixture number and you can then find out who you may face in the fourth round.

The set of 32 fourth round fixtures can be accessed right here, and are of the following format…

Winner of match XVs.Winner of match Y

…where X and Y correspond to the match numbers stated in the third round draw. Those fixtures will then be populated with the third round winners as soon as possible, but this gives you the opportunity to find your opponent for yourself before the Monday morning Gameweek 33 deadline.

So to clarify, the third round is to be played across the upcoming Gameweek 32, and the fourth round is to be played across the following Gameweek 33. Good luck to all those involved.

    Friedel
    Vermaelen – Evans – Rangel
Valencia (vc) – McClean – Bale – Siggy – Dempsey
    Rooney (c) – RvP
Bench: Mignolet – Pogregbnyak, Kelly, Simpson.

For this GW, what do we reckon? Sub order correct? Cheers!

    Walcott, Dempsey, Bale, Miyachi, Valencia

    3 to bench?

Thinking: Dempsey, Turner, Simpson in that order.

    Evening gents,

Couple of questions for you wise fpl fanatics

    My current squad for this week as per now;

    Krul
    McAuley Evans Kaboul
    Walcott Siggy Valencia Bale
    Suarez RVP Rooney

    Mig Dempsey Simpson Kelly

    A) Kelly > Caulker - seems a decent transfer for this week yeh? Taking GW34 into consideration aswell. Will play Caulker over Kaboul if I go through with it, sound?

    B) Who the feck do I bench from that front 8? 😀 Really uncomfortable having Clint there tbh, especially now that the Pog & AJ are out and he will most likely be playing up front. It's either him, Walcott or Suarez as I see it.

    C) Krul or Migs between the sticks? Can't see Sunderland keeping Spurs out, and Swansea - Newcastle could turn out to be a goalless stalemate, right?

    Cheers!

I'm thinkuing bench Dempsey because he's rubbish away from home. See my dilemma above.

Well yeah that's my reasoning too, but Bolton are leaky and well...

Going by my ML situation I will be best off benching Suarez, but seeing Villa last week - I just can't do it even though I hate the guy!

A - decent move, forward thinking and i would play him ahead of Kaboul

B - Its one of Walcott/Bale/Demps - pot luck really. Imo Bale is fixture proof (rules him out), Walcott is up against a City team who i imagine will play "not to lose", Demps is poor away from home but you reasoning makes him tempting - coin flip - you will prob end up beching Demps

C - I am playing Migs - I think both will concede so always go with the home GK

Thanks for the response, the Migs/Krul dilemma is a tough one indeed. My gut tells me Krul - I will let that decide, as I have been badly hurt by not listening to it in earlier weeks 😉

A yeah that seems a good transfer. Swansea have better fixtures aswell as gw34.

B Id agree with benching Dempsey. Bolton facing releagtion and will be doing everything they can to win whereas Fulham are poor away from home.

C Hard to call.I think Migs. Swansea likely to score and Sunderland have looked solid at home.

    Vorm
    Vermaelen – Evans – BAE
    Valencia – Walcott – Siggy – Bale
van Persie – Rooney – Suarez
    Sub: Schawarzer, Dempsey, Simpson, Kelly

Correct subs and bench order ?

I'm trying to work out whether it's better to

    A) Get Cisse in for gw 33 - though I'd have a headache on who to bench of my front 8 - and have 4 defenders in my 10 playing in gw34.

    B) Get Bendtner in for gw34, with 3 defenders in my 10 players, and then ditch him for Cisse for gw35 ?

    C) Not bother getting Cisse at all

I will not be having him, although his 3 next fixtures after this week is very tempting. I will be having Aguero in for Suarez prior to GW34, and Adebayor for either Roo or Aguero before the DGW. (By that point, I don't see the point in getting Cisse)

big week this week. into Round 3 of two cups and trying to build a lead in my main ML:

    Krul
    JEvans, McAuley, Verm
    Siggy, Demps, Bale, Valencia
    RvP, Rooney, PCisse

    Mig, McClean, Caulker, BAE

    Krul or Mig?
Verm or Caulker or BAE to start?
    Demps > Walcott or Mata?

    any help will be depreciated!

Mig has been in some good form and he is the homeboy. just thought Bale and Ade would have more scoring potential than Siggy and ?

      Similiar Dilemas

      I have Krul over Mignolet.

Verm over Cahill and Caulker. (and would not play BAE if I had him)

Sold Demps and am Playing Walcott

any reasoning behind the Demps > Walcott move for a home match against MCI?

Demps to Valencia was the transfer to clarify.

Considering playing Cahill instead of Walcott and having four at the back. Can see it being a low scoring affair so would rather have Verms than Walcott.

Migs - if in doubt always go with the home fixture

Verm - attacking potential, City looking vulnerable

      What about saving your transfer?

i can save it but i only need to make one next week (barring injuries, bans etc) then i have 2 FT's for GW34 and i already have 11 players so i'll lose an FT then.

Imo, with the blank in 34 and the DGW's on the horizon - i am banking transfers to maximise my options (this includes potential rotation/injury).

For this week, will Demps score that much less that Walcott???? Just a thought

my rival has Demps so i could match him there.

or i could bring in Walcott and have an extra differential.

Versus Pablod in round 3, who has made 3 transfer for a -8pt hit. If i get through I play someone in the top 10K.

      Going the Swansea route, eh?

I was thinking of taking the Newcastle approach with Krul/Cisse over Siggy/Vorm. Surely Newcastle too strong right now to ignore?

I have a tiny 5pt lead in my mini-league and the guy on my tail has 3 (!!) Newcastle defenders.

I figured I could cover Newc defence with Simpson, and still play Vorm. And not convinced by Ba. Would play Cisse if I had him. Too scared to bench Siggy.

Some tough 50/50 decisions on who to start/bench this week:

    Krul Vorm
    Evans Kaboul McCauley Komps Senderos
    Valencia Bale Dempsey Siggy McClean
    Rooney (C) RVP Cisse

    This my bench with be:

    Vorm + Siggy, McClean, Senderos
