We’ve had the ball in for an examination – we’ve screened it for fibres from Hatem Ben Arfa’s boots and we can now reveal that the results were inconclusive. The forensics proved nothing – Quincy has let us down.

As you may have guessed, last weekend’s events at the Sports Direct Arena and the Fantasy Premier League’s assist ruling provides the topic of discussion for this week’s ScoutCast. Wrapped around that, Mark and I throw in the usual regulars and I try my best to keep my chin up throughout, despite the widening mini-league gap.

Bring this week’s episode in for an examination via this link. Or stream the evidence from the handy player below.

He is useless if he scores 1-2 each week. Plenty of better midfield options. Currently you have 8 available for GW34 I think but missing out on big points in GWs32-33 doesn't make Silva worth keeping. You would also have more funds.

i know.. not happy at all with that, but owning Gerrard means you've got to play him home to Villa, and Aguero is capable of anything. I don't think that will be a walkover for Arsenal.

I would sell Gerrard. Never bench bale... He was excellent v Swansea.

And has such double figure potential each game !

Ps. Augero is fit, and I think will start given Mancini comments after last game v Sunderland.

I agree re Aguero. Gerrard has one more stay of execution. I'd be kicking myself if I sold him a week early when there's no real need to.

I rate Sunderland at home to be quite a competitive, and tight game. MON will get Sunderland up for it, so even if Bale scores or assists, I can't see too much damage being done. Fingers crossed, of course!

Bale's away and benching him looks the right thing to do. Hell, he could even be rested with Lennon back in contention (wishful thinking, I know, given the form he's in).

News reports are suggesting a return against Arsenal.

        http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2125175/Sergio-Aguero-set-return-Manchester-City-Arsenal-game.html

Have there been any tweets to say he won't be involved?

Reasons for captaining Rooney over Valencia?

I’ve currently got my captain as Valencia, and vice captain as Rooney.. I just wanted to hear some thoughts on the issue, maybe a decent counter argument.

I think those stats pretty much settle it for me. If anyone out of the 2 are going to score big - it'll be Rooney. If Valencia does get a decent score, at least I'll have those points on the board, so can't really complain.

Lousy season. Not a surprise really after losing Craig Davies last Summer .. this year's team is probably weaker than our promotion winning side, what with all the loan signings.

We're having to play Lester most games where he's at the age he should be making an impact from the bench. Still, not many sides get to win a trophy, albeit a mickey mouse one 😉

Hope we keep John Sheridan for next season, he's doing a great job.

Valencia has been beyond good lately. So consistent. Much more reliable and cheaper than Walcott.

Is he nailed on (are the nails reinforced with superglue) - really nailed on? Because Ferguson said he'd play his strongest team at Ajax. He played Young and Nani instead.
