We’ve had the ball in for an examination – we’ve screened it for fibres from Hatem Ben Arfa’s boots and we can now reveal that the results were inconclusive. The forensics proved nothing – Quincy has let us down.

As you may have guessed, last weekend’s events at the Sports Direct Arena and the Fantasy Premier League’s assist ruling provides the topic of discussion for this week’s ScoutCast. Wrapped around that, Mark and I throw in the usual regulars and I try my best to keep my chin up throughout, despite the widening mini-league gap.

Bring this week’s episode in for an examination via this link. Or stream the evidence from the handy player below.

    Would you waste 2 transfers to do Dempsey -> Walcott for GW34 and the Walcott -> Dempsey for GW35?
    If I don't do it I'll have 10 playing in GW34, but could use these 2 transfers elsewhere.

      Dont worry. I have only 9 players for GW34. You must use these transfers to have more DGW players in GW36....

      I'm contemplating it, but even if I do it I'll have 10 for GW34 anyway so slightly different problem for me.

      However, the thought of having Sess and Walcott from GW34-36 instead of Dempsey is preying heavily on my mind too.

      Sess could outscore Dempsey in the DGW although Dempsey does have a wicked history in DGW's.

        Want to bring in Cisse for GW33 and have to ship out Skrtel to get funds, so bringing Walcott would mean 4 point hit.

      So in other words you need Walcott to get 8 points to break even on the hit. I have the same dilemma for GW34. Think I'll be doing it since s home game to Wigan could easily be a double digit score. 1 goal +baps and the hit pays off.

    Sorry lads, repost as stuck at the bottom of the previous page. I'm down to these 2 options for my transfer strategy. Apologies for the lengthy post, but would appreciate anyone who spends the time to take a look and provide any feedback to help me decide. Cheers

    Current Squad
    Migs, Bogdan
    JEvans, Kompany, Skrtel, Caulker, Shotton
    Dempsey, Walcott, Valencia, Siggy, Surman
    Rooney, RVP, Suarez
    Bank 1.8m, 2 free transfer

    PLAN A
    GW32: Shotton -> Kaboul
    GW33: Surman & Suarez -> Bale & Bendtner
    GW34: Dempsey -> Sess
    GW35: Save
    GW36: Kompany, Valencia & Rooney -> Baines, Mata & Adebayor (4 point hit)

    PLAN B
    GW32: Surman -> McClean
    GW33: Skrtel -> Kaboul
    GW34: Shotton -> Koscielny
    GW35: Koscielny -> Enrique
    GW36: Kompany, Valencia & Rooney -> Baines, Bale & Adebayor (4 point hit)

        Nah, would still be a 4 point hit in B as I'll be rolling forward a free transfer all the way from now up to GW36. But yeah, A means Bale for GW33 and Sess instead of McClean. Downside is no Dempsey for GW35/36 or Suarez for GW36

      GW32 Shotton & Suarez > Vermaelen & Cisse
      GW33 No transfer
      GW34 Dempsey > Sess
      GW35 Surman > Bale
      GW36 Kompany, Valencia & Rooney > Baines, Mata & Adebayor (4pt hit)

      To play in GW34

      Mignolet (Bogdan)
      Evans Vermaelen Caulker Kompany (Skrtel)
      Sess Walcott Valencia Siggy (Surman)
      RVP Rooney (Cisse)

      To play in GW36

      BOGDAN (mignolet)
      BAINES caulker SKRTEL (verm evans)
      sess MATA siggy BALE (walcott)
      rvp CISSE ADE

      Don't get McClean. Seriously you won't even need to use him. It would be a wasted transfer. Keep that one free for another use. Otherwise I favor Plan B, perhaps by not selling Surman you can do GW36 without a hit and get Walker instead of Kaboul?

    Good Morning Friday.. 😀

    1 FT and 0.0 in bank.. I'm considering to play this team and save FT to next week.

    VORM
    EVANS - VERMAELEN - Assou-Ekotto
    VALENCIA - WALCOTT - SIGURDSSON - Bale
    ROONEY - RVP - Suarez

    Sub: Schwarzer, Dempsey, Simpson, Kelly

    Currently have 8 players for Gw34. Sunderland and Swansea seem to have good fixture. Balo?
    May I have your advice for who should I get in / out for Gw34?

      I'm going with Mignolet(in).....Spurs can be poor away from home, Swansea usually good at home....

      Rooney as C and Valencia as VC for me.....although I want to do it the otherway around. Flip a coin..

    For GW 33 and 34, would you rather have:
    A. Cisse and Dempsey
    B. Pog and Walcott

    I don't want to take hit and can only bring in one of Cisse / Walcott.
    B would give me 11 playing in GW34, so might just have to miss out on Cisse trashing Bolton in GW33.

      i can't see Mata scoring that many more points than Demps away at BOL.

      No.

      Too many games in quick succession over the DGW, UCL to think about and heavy rotation risks. Too expensive considering any one of them could be 'rested' for a least one of the DGW fixtures.

    Morning lads I'm all set, I've just done no-one>nobody and it feels good. Gonna wait till sun evening and have a look again, basically gonna aim to have 2 ft heading into 34 and 2 ft heading into 36, not gonna overplan or over think the whole thing is my strategy, instead concentrating the day before gw on form/fixtures heck like someone could get injured/sent off and the best laid plans will be shot .

    For those thinking of getting McClean in. How many games are you actually going to use him in? If I bought him in for Surman I wouldn't ever need to start him except for GW34 and GW36 and I'd be replacing a fellow GW34 player to get him in rendering the whole transfer a waste of time. Playing him in GW36 also prevents the option for another DGW player. Would it then be better to not waste a transfer and instead use that transfer for a DGW prospect?

    To illustrate most attacks will have these players

    Bale, Valencia, Siggy, Dempsey/Walcot, ?
    RVP, Rooney, Ade/Cisse

    From GW32 > GW35 you would start that front 7 each week. Apart from maybe benching Walcot for the GW35 fixture you'd start all those players leading up to the DGW as they have good fixtures. Therefore how can we have any room for McClean?

    Conclusion: He is a waste of time don't get him

      This is a good point, however as I already have him and want to ditch him, whoever I get in will most likley be filling the same bench space, so likely just to keep him instead. Hopefully he can pic up a few points and come on if needs be...

      I see where you are going, but he is cheap enough to bench and is more likely to get a game instead of Surman. More likely to get more points than him too.

      My issue with Surman (who I also have) is that he's not guaranteed to start in GW34 so you could be fielding 1 less player than you'd planned.

      Also, in GW36 I'd be inclined to bench Valencia and play McClean.

        He starts almost every game. I don't think you will gain a lot from making that transfer. Why not use the transfer to get a DGWer for GW36 instead?

          I can't see past rooney to be honest. Man Utd v QPR at Old Trafford is not a game you want to be being sneaky with your captain choice.

          Next week with man utd, and arsenal away to teams fighting for their lives is a much better opportunity for a differential captain choice.
