This feels new. A Friday deadline, a Friday kick-off. While we cackle with the laugh of an evil genius at the prospect of mini-league rivals who may have been taken by surprise by today’s schedule, why not pop into the Dugout Discussion Chatroom to enjoy the unusual events of the day alongside your Fantasy Football peers.

Today’s single Premier League game is at the Liberty Stadium where the Swansea defence and possession game faces up to the league’s in-form striker – Papiss Cisse. This might well provide a tasty amuse-bouche before tomorrow’s main course.

There’s some rather interesting team news from the home side. Brendan Rodgers drops Danny Graham to the bench having watched the former Watford man fail to score in six, recalling Luke Moore to the starting lineup. Scott Sinclair, rather surprisingly, finds himself sitting next to Graham on the bench as Rodgers brings in Nathan Dyer and switches Wayne Routledge to the left-flank. We therefore presume that Gylfi Sigurdsson will be on spot-kicks. Andy is hovering over the Tweet button already.

As for Newcastle, James Perch shakes off a calf injury to take his place in a defence which includes the recalled Davide Santon. He starts at left-back with Jonas Gutierrez moving into the midfield three to replace the injured Danny Guthrie.

      Away at Swansea is never easy though. I chose him over Hart, i had an easy decision.

      i wouldn't double up on defence. so it's either Simpson or Krul for me, i picked simpson and only short of 2 points. its not THAT bad if i think of it that way 🙂

    Where do you want my rant to begin? Rival brings in Cisse to get 4 goals out of him. Ryan taylor comes of the bench to give him a cleansheet. He brings in sessgnon and ruins my GW 34 plans because i'm playing catch up.

    Let's just look forward to Norwich V Everton and hope Baines comes out with a hattrick. Too much to ask for?

      I transferred in Ade to sit alongside RvP and Rooney; avoided Cisse because of fixtures. Tempting as it is I'll stay the course.

        I would have thought that the last bap would go to a defender, given the clean sheet and no other obvious attacker doing well. So yes, maybe another defender but given the amount of saves Krul made I'd have thought him favourite.

    14pts from Krul and Simpson on the bench. Add those 2 clean sheets to the pile that I have benched this season. Ridiculous. 4th GW in a row with a benched CS.

    Anyway I am off here for a few days at least, really got to learn to take this game less seriously as it is not good for me to this wound up about what essentially is just a game at the end of the day. So I am taking a reality check and will see you next week. Happy Easter.
