Easter provides us with a double haul of Premier League action over the next six days. With barely enough time to enjoy the weekend feast, Fantasy managers will be casting aside their bad eggs before the second helping of fixtures begin on Monday. In lieu of the usual Flutter this week, Paddy have obliged us with a double set of odds to tuck in to, so, in kind, we’re upping the ante…

Newcastle fans have had plenty to cheer this season, not least the form of Demba Ba, who eased the pain of losing Andy Carroll by notching goals against all opposition as Alan Pardew’s side chase an unlikely European spot. Right now, however, Ba has taken a step back and allowed compatriot Papiss Cisse to come to the fore. Cisse has racked up seven goals in as many games, without completing a full 90 minutes, and will be looking to add another to the tally at Swansea in this afternoon’s Easter opener. Paddy included the Newcastle man in their goalscoring treble with Cisse, Van Persie and Rooney at 7/1 to all score over their first set of Easter fixtures. With 54 goals between them, we’ll gladly open our account with a fiver on this one.

After the tragic heart condition that struck Fabrice Muamba at White Hart Lane in March, Bolton’s form has gone from strength to strength, belying doubts that they could struggle following the abandoned quarter final. Martin Petrov has played a significant role in this recent success, both as provider and goalscorer. Paddy are offering a lofty 14/1 for Petrov to score and Bolton to keep a clean sheet at home to Fulham in their first Easter fixture. Although Bolton have won their last three, they have also been conceding, so £1 is risk enough for us here.

Antonio Valencia has been on fire of late, and although pundits questioned the intent for his deadlock breaker against Blackburn on Monday night, nobody could deny he produced another electric performance. Paddy are playing odds on Valencia close to their chest after his productive spell, offering 100/30 on a Valencia assist and clean sheet for United against QPR. A lot of risk for little reward, but with £14 in the kitty to spend over this weekend, a cheeky £1.50 still leaves us with plenty to play with.

Check back on Monday morning to see how we got on and for more odds on Leighton Baines, Gareth Bale and man of the moment Papiss Cisse.

Money Back Specials

Talking of Cisse, Paddy have lined up the in-form striker to be the subject of their first Money Back Special for the opening Easter fixture. If Papiss Cisse scores the last goal in the clash with Swansea, Paddy Power will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match up to a value of £100. They’ve got a similar deal on Peter Crouch in the Stoke vs Wolves clash.

In Sunday’s games, Paddy are offering refund options if there are five or more goals in the Man United vs QPR clash. Paddy will again refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match up to a value of £100. You can get the same deal should there be five goals in the Arsenal vs City clash at the Emirates.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

    Just switched the captaincy to Rooney…
    Anyway, I have a new transfer schedule. It involves an 8 point hit and selling several stalwarts (no Dempsey for one game ) along the way. So without further ado, I present my team for 34:
    Vorm
    Caulker Turner Verm JEvans
    Siggy McClean Valencia Walcott
    Rooney RVP
    -Jelly Bale BAE
    and 36:
    Vorm
    Turner BAE Baines
    Dempsey VDV Bale Siggy McClean
    Jelly Cisse
    -RVP Verm JEvans
    -Siggy to Walcott for 37

    GW34: Surman -> Sess
    GW35: Walcott -> Bale
    GW36: Rooney & Kompany -> Baines & Adebayor

      You have 10 for GW34 already so Shotton to McAuley is a waste in my opinion. QPR will need to win that game to have any realistic chance of staying up so McAuley is almost certainly going to concede in that game.

      Save the xfr this week and use the next few GW's to get ready for GW36.

      Suarez and Shotton need to go although I'd look at seeing if you can get BAE in for the double. Otherwise I'd get Kelly or Simpson in for Shotton as they give you a cheap decent dgw defender, or get Wheater if you want dgw35 and dgw36 def.

    Will Walcott be that troublesome against City? He’s playing very well but he’s always struck me as the kind of player who can’t think of anything new when a defender has him pegged. I’d reckon the City lads could do that to him. I’m probably wrong, food for thought.

        It really has me thrown, RVP is slowing and some of their performances aren't as strong as usual. Same goes for City, they're stuttering big time. It's hard to call. I hope Arsenal win but I can't even try to think of how the match will actually play out.

    Cisse - RVP - Rooney

    Subs: Sessegnon, Caulker, Kelly

    Who to play: Sessegnon or Dempsey? Or should I drop Cisse (stupid, considering his form, but Swansea are tight at Liberty). I've got a feeling Dempsey may finally prove he isn't goal-shy away from home.

            So do I. I said a few weeks ago they will stay up and none agreed but they have a lot of survival experience and know what it takes to stay up.

              Yeah, it'll be close but I'd love them to stay. Like Martinez as a manager as well, he does the best with what he has.

            Sadly, I must disagree.

            Had their chance and always spawning staying up on the last day of the season. Championship time for you, Wigan.

    Defence so far

    Enrique, Raylor, Vermaelen, Senderos, Evans

    After tomorrows games is it worth doing Senderos > Kompany as this gives me another player for GW34. If I done this I would possibly do Kompany > BAE/ Chelsea defender for GW36. Any thoughts?

    Do we think Clint 'doesn't perform away' Dempsey can outscore McClean this week? I know Sunderland have Spurs but look at his home record.

      I'm not concerned about apparent poor away from. He is up against a reasonably poor defence and is one of the best scoring midfielders in the league.

    Can I just give my log in details to somebody so they can decide on my captain, keeper and whether to transfer Yaya out for Siggy. That way I take no responsibility for what eventuates.....

    Anyone willing?

    Is it total madness to C Gerrard this week? I desperately need a differential, and even thought Liverpool's form has been awful, I see them getting a couple of goals at Anfield against that makeshift Villa lineup.

    Madness?

    Current team is:
    Migs (Krul)
    Evans, Cahill, Baines (Caulker, Senderos)
    Bale, Valencia, Walcott, Siggy (Morrison)
    RVP, Rooney, Suarez

    Am considering Morrison to Sess and Senderos to Ream for a 4 pt hit. What do you guys think? Silly move, should I save the transfer? I want to get rid of Morrison and Senderos as they are not playing and keen to get Sess in. But who would I drop if I did make the move this week, no point taking a 4 pt hit to bring in 2 players to warm the bench...

      They have improved, but their picks were generally disastrous this season. I remember outscoring them many times, though they are allowed to play the wildcard virtually every GW. Their doubling up on defenders was hilarious at times.
