The manโ€™s a machine. Nine goals in eight games have lifted Papiss Cisse to the verge of essential status in Fantasy terms, as those who are yet to jump on board the bandwagon are left fumbling and fretting on the curb side, wondering if theyโ€™ve left it too late to buy a ticket.

Todayโ€™s brace at the Liberty cut open on of the most heralded defences in the league โ€“ Swansea had conceded just 12 goals at home this season. That had no bearing on Cisse, who went about his job of condemning Brendan Rodgersโ€™ side to their third straight defeat with ruthless precision.

His first was a scalpel of a finish to Michel Vormโ€™s far post, the Dutchmanโ€™s despairing drive and fingertips unable to stop Cisseโ€™s drive finding the corner. The second was simply sublime โ€“ an improbable angled chip over Vormโ€™s hapless gaze after Yohan Cabaye’s through-ball had appeared to have caught under Cisse’s feet. He shuffled, rearranged and demonstrated exquisite balance to execute one of the smartest finishes of the season. A bit special, as Alan Pardew will doubtless say.

Those who jumped on Cisse off the back of his consecutive two-goal hauls at West Brom and against Liverpool will be glowing. That leaves the rest of us pondering just how long we can afford to ignore the seemingly unstoppable form of the Senegal striker. Already, over 4,000 Fantasy managers have transferred Cisse in this afternoon – his price has jumped 0.6 in two Gameweeks but we can only expect that to keep climbing.

Gameweek 33 shifts struggling Bolton into Cisseโ€™s sights โ€“ a chilling thought. Thereโ€™s a sniff of a chance that Pardew will be tempted to rotate his resources for that game but surely Cisseโ€™s momentum is undeniable, surely heโ€™ll be given the opportunity to cut the Trotters open?

After that, Cisse and Newcastle face a blank but thatโ€™s followed by another temping home encounter with Stoke, with a double fixture in Gamweek 36 that has the Magpies face trips to Wigan and Chelsea.

The opponents hardly matter. Right now, you can throw out the form book and almost disregard fixtures. Alan Pardew has his side playing to their strengths. Resolute in defence with Hatem Ben Arfa providing a drive and spark from midfield, whilst up front Cisse is the executioner supreme. How can we resist?

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Does anyone think Mata might be rested tomorrow? Looked tired in the midweek game vs, Benfica and Wigan look an easy fixture?

I was planning on getting in turner for santon for GW34, but now santon is back in the picture am i right in thinking I should hold on to him, even if it means just playing 10 in GW34? Would mean that I could field 8 for the DGW with no hit, rather than 7, with one hit.

id rather have turner, better fixtures and 100% nailed on. Also more likely at keeping a cleanie over the 3 games.

      Turner: WOL, avl, BOL
      Santon: STO, wig, che

Also I still dont think santon is nailed on

    Got Balotelli because of gw34.

But its hard to ignore Cisse's form.

And according to Sir Paulos' analysis, I will actually get one more fixture over gw34-36 replacing a gw34 player with a gw36 player.

Should I swallow my pride and get rid of Balotelli again, or stick to my plan of getting Ade after gw34?

I haven't had a chance to check back through all of the posts from yesterday, but I know that the toon messagebords were awash with comments about unhappy Ba looked a) at being subbed, and b) when dave scored his second.

    However, after seeing Ba's tweets from this morning, I can assure you that is not the case;

Just gonna post this to wallow more.

I passed on having 11 for GW 34 so I could get Siggy for Dyer. He promptly gets me nothing at all.

I just got Cisse for Ba....now I'll only have 9 players on GW 34. I'm sure he'll do nothing, either.

I've almost already lost my UCL tie. My L5 lead is disintegrating before my eyes.

I'm so close to commiting a Katie on my team right now.

Yes, those are in good form and that factor should be taken into consideration.
Turner, btw, has not bad fixture too.. Wolves and Bolton at home. I think playing against Ngog could be considered easier than Yak/Hoilett.

I also have Vorm in goal. Turner should spread the risk. Anyway, I'm now doubt if it's worth FT to bring DF in.. :S

Depends who the defender is for the DGW.
        Sunderland/Swansea have good fixtures on 34 and 36, instead of a blank + DGW they have;
        Sunderland - WOL/BOL
        Swansea - BLA/WOL
Your double gameweek defender will probably be more expensive (Liverpool/Spurs/Baines/Chelsea) and have a possible risk of rotation, or similar price (Newcastle) who have a less promising 2 fixtures in Wigan and Chelsea away.

BAE and Simpson are likely to stay in my team and play for DGW. I will want Baines in my team, but still unplanned for how to fit him in. Vermaelen is candidate to go out if he still not produce any goal soon. Umm.. Alternative is Simpson > Baines as I'm sick of his points on my bench lately.

I hope i will have a plan before Gw33 finished.

I know the DGW is a while a way, but could I fall behind with this team? Only 6 double gameweek players..
    Krul (wig/che)
Caulker (WOL) Baines (sto/FUL) Bardsley/Turner (BOL)
Sessegnon (BOL) Bale (BLA/bol) Sigurdsson (WOL) VDV (BLA/bol)
RVP (sto) Ade (BLA/bol) Cisse (wig/che)
It sets be up better for 34, 35, 37 and 38 than having 7 DGW'ers (which would also require a hit)

        Hope so.
My front 8 won't change, so i'd have a choice of Vermaelen > Liverpool/Chelsea defender. But I don't see either of them being worth a hit over Caulker/Bardsley, considering 37 and 38 also where Verm has NOR/wba

Well Blackburn and Bolton aren't exactly known for defending, but they tend to score goals against most teams.
Also there is plenty of good defensive options for 34 and 36 who have 1 single game in those weeks, where as my front 8 is pretty much full.
It would be VDV + Caulker/Bardsley or BAE + ?

I guess I would just be concerned for VDV rotation with all those games in a short period.

I would say BAE/ Barfa is better than VDV /Caulker.

I don't see any better attacking options for the double, where as I see good defensive options.
Adebayor or VDV will be out in 37 or 38 so tripling up for BLA/bol/avl doesn't worry me.

Something niggling for me, just can't see VDV featuring enough of the 180 mins to make it worthwhile. Agree though, pretty bare with regards to other options. I have around 10m to spend on a mid and i can't for the life of my spend it.

      1) Not worth to get rid Kaboul. Probably worth for Simpson as his fixtures are not so ideal.
      2) It's a choice. I'm rather preferred Walcott vs Wolves. I dont think think Chelsea will lose much focus in the league. The competition in UCL is very hard. They need a place in league for UCL next season.

Don't know what to do now. Knee-jerked Dave in, but now have him, Dempsey and Bale all of whom I want for gw35 onwards. I have two FTs before 34, one of which will be used for Senderos -> Turner, most likely.

    Gives me for 34:
    Vorm (Krul)
    Turner Evans Komp (Simpson Skrtel)
    Siggy Valencia Walcott (Demps Bale)
    ROoney RVP (Dave)

What is my best move? Play 9 and save the FT? Do Dempsey/Bale -> Sess and then back again? Do Dempsey->Sess and forget about getting him back?

Argh, doing my head in. Any ideas? Anybody in a similar situation?

      Caulker Mcauley Evans (Kabboul Simps)
      Valencia Siggy Walcott (Bale Demps)
      Rvp Roon (Dave)

My current plan is for Dempps/Bale to Sess (or Nasri/Johnson away at nor, but this will depend how MCI plays in GW32-33). Then buys back Demps or keep the MCI player as they play wol

I am playing in a MONTHLY money league, so need to overhaul my team to accomodate the current month fixture.

Any changes made between Game Months (eg Mar and Apr) will not count towards my total April score, but deducted from my Overall Score

Mainly because I have most of them already.

That was my original plan and I'm likely to stick to it. Getting in Cisse is just not worth it plus he has MCI and eve as his last 2 games.

I'm also resisting cisse. Got the feeling its just chasing points.

Way, way too many hits.....but i guess you knew it already. Pretty good team but looks to be the result of a very jerky knee.

    Why the panic eveyone?
So much forward planning and yet, ALL decisions need to wait until last minute at this crucial point in the season.
Injury is more likely as is rotation.
Have a plan but no panic....crazy to think ahead of the 24 hour period before next weeks cut off.

      Agree with you mate.

I don't get how people can get in Cisse with the blank in gw34. Maybe I'll be proven wrong again though.

        Cheers..
I will drop Cisse just like any other player...if it fits that weeks 'strategy'.
I can see a few stumbles if people are not careful. The main thing to remember in my op is that it's usually 3 or 4 players that make a good week....get this right in ANY gameweek and they'll do fine.

You already had Cisse! Just imagine how panicky it feels to have been without him all these weeks...

What's your plan for Cisse, Bale and Demps btw?

I only got Cisse this week and took a risk losing Suarez.
Bale's benched this week and depending how he plays, he'll probably go. Demps has annoyed me all season....home form makes him a great rotation player though now I've built up cash with my double tfr strategy earlier in the season.
        He'll stay.

      For a hit!!!
Do you think that Ba now rested a little may have something to show on Monday night?
I got Cisse this week but I wouldn't wager against Ba filling his boots against Bolton.

      Crazy for a hit IMO

The only thing that makes me feel a little better about this week so far (i.e. no Cisse + Krul on the bench) is that it's a fairly typical situation around here. So it's not just me being crap, but rather just plain bad luck. Or so I hope.

Thankfully I did have Simpson starting, which eases the pain a little.
