The Easter eggs are only half-eaten, yet here we are again. With the Gameweek 33 deadline approaching at 11.30am tomorrow, it’s time to roll out another XI from the Scout Picks Selection Committee. Newcastle and United are firmly backed, while Everton also feature strongly in light of the Toffees’ recent form:

Tim Krul gets the nod between the posts ahead of tomorrow’s home showdown with Bolton. The Magpies keeper has been in sparkling form, conceding just a single goal in the last four Gameweeks and, with the Trotters failing to score in four of their last five on the road, a clean for Alan Pardew’s side is more than a distinct possibility.

This afternoon’s 2-0 triumph over QPR added yet another clean sheet to Jonny Evans’ recent tally. That’s five in a row now for Evans as United’s defence continues to prove profitable for Fantasy managers. A trip to Wigan should hold no fear for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side and with the Latics scoring just four times in the last six at the DW, Evan’s looks likely to pick up the points yet again.

With just a single goal conceded in their last five at Goodison, Everton’s recent home form has proven to be particularly reliable. No surprise, then, to see us give Leighton Baines the nod ahead of a home clash against Sunderland. While the Black Cats have produced the goods at home, they have failed to score in three of their last six on the road and, with set-piece and penalty duties also capable of boosting the left-back’s returns, Baines’ owners will be confident going into tomorrow afternoon’s match.

A home game with West Brom brings Vincent Kompany into this Gameweek’s line-up. City will clearly be devastated after today’s result but their Etihad form is unlikely to be troubled by Roy Hodgson’s side; the Baggies have netted just once in their last three on the road and looks set to afford City the perfect pick-me-up in light of their Emirates defeat.

With Steven Pienaar cup-tied for Everton’s semi-final with Liverpool, the South African looks certain to turn out in Monday’s Goodison encounter with Sunderland. Pienaar has shone in recent weeks, notching back-to-back assists in Everton’s last two league outings. The Black Cats will provide stern opposition for David Moyes’ men but we feel Pienaar could be the key figure, particularly if the Everton boss rests striker Nikica Jelavic ahead of the weekend meet with Liverpool.

Having scored in his last two league outings, Theo Walcott drew a blank in the 1-0 win over City but nonetheless remains pivotal as the Gunners look to seal third place. Like so many midfielders in the Gameweek, Walcott could suffer from rotation for the trip to Wolves on Wednesday but with Arsenal playing their Gameweek 34 fixture next Monday, there’s every chance that Walcott will be given another opportunity to add to his recent goal tally when Arsenal pay visit to the basement club.

Gylfi Sigurdsson is a must for a Swansea away day. Having scored all six of his league goals on the road, the graceful Icelander remains a top Fantasy target for the Swans’ visit to Loftus Road. Sigurdsson maintained his recent form with another display bristling with goal threat in Friday’s defeat to Newcastle and, despite drawing a blank, showed enough for us to back him to keep his start for the R’s clash and provide the cutting edge for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

Clint Dempsey’s brace at Bolton will have frustrated many Fantasy managers, having previously provided such disappointment on the road. Shifted to a striker’s role in the absence of ankle injury victim Pavel Pogrebnyak, Dempsey’s two strikes proved devastating and take him into the local derby with Chelsea brimming with confidence. With Pogrebnyak still struggling to overcome his knock, Dempsey looks set to lead the line and the threat for Martin Jol’s side in Monday’s clash.

Bolton’s visit to the Sports Direct Arena hands Papiss Cisse another chance to plunder the Fantasy points. The Newcastle forward’s incredible run of six goals in the last three games has Fantasy managers queuing up in their thousands to get in on the action – a price rise of 0.8 since Gameweek 30 is indicative of the show of faith. With the Magpies gunning for their fifth straight win, Owen Coyle’s side have an unenviable task ahead tomorrow, given Cisse’s irresistible form.

When you’ve gone four games without a goal, the best possible remedy is a showdown with Wolves. Robin Van Persie and on-form Arsenal now roll up to Molineux and, with the midlands outfit shipping an average of three goals per game since Terry Connor’s installation, the Gunners skipper is surely set to profit once again on Wednesday evening.

Wayne Rooney’s trip to Wigan is impossible to overlook. While Cisse has been lauded for his form, the United forward has been almost as reliable, notching nine times in his last nine games as the champions edge ever-closer to retaining their title. With an eight-point gap now established at the top, Sir Alex Ferguson will be determined to go for goals once again – United have averaged three goals per game over their last five away fixtures and the Latics are likely to afford them plenty chances for further attacking returns.

While Peter Crouch is doing all he can to squeeze his lofty frame onto England’s Euro 2012 plane, Stoke have scored just two goals in their last six away league outings. With that in mind, and having seen Villa defend like lions at Anfield, we’ve opted for James Collins for the defensive role on the bench. Always a magnet for impressive performance statistics, Collins will be integral to keeping Stoke at arms length on Monday night.

QPR’s Adel Taarabt claims the place on our bench for the midfield role. The Moroccan has come to the fore in recent home matches and with Djibril Cisse still suspended, Mark Hughes will likely look to Taarabt to lend his influence to QPR’s ailing attack as they scrap for points against Swansea.

Steve Kean shifted Junior Hoilett back out to the flank for the trip to the Hawthorns and duly saw his side slip to defeat. With Liverpool due at Ewood Park on Tuesday, Kean will surely look to renew Hoilett’s partnership with Yakubu against a Liverpool side with just one clean sheet in their last eight. Both Hoilett and Yakubu offer value, then, but we prefer the trickery and FPL price tag of the influential Hoilett for our bench role.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Is it correct bench and order for Simpson as first sub for this week?

    Vorm*
    Vermaelen* - Evans* - BAE
    Valencia* - Siggy* - Walcott* - Bale
    RvP* - Rooney* - P.Cisse

    Schwarzer, Simpson, Sessegnon*, Kelly

Btw, who should I bring in next week to make 10 starters?
Kelly > Turner, Caulker, Kompany, Collins (away to United in Gw34 but DGW on Gw35)

You lost faith in Bale & Totty already, Newman?
Bale should run riot if he starts, but whether it translates to FPL returns would depend on your forwards ability to convert, which has been rather poor.

Only if he's confirmed out, I'd do it. Else it's not worth it.

Im not extremely worried about form.

I don't think Norwich are pushovers, so I'm not entirely sure he will run riot.

A lot of it has to do with fielding 10 for 34, and the fact that Walcott is in decent form with a fixture decent enough to possibly justify the hit.

That and I'm trailing in my UCL tie, out of both Torresmagic tournaments, and in general depression about the horrid state of my team and inability to get closer to the top 1k.

Norwich aren't pushovers but they're bound to concede goals on the road. Bale > Walcott next week for a free would be a better idea imo. Something I'm considering as well.

Who comes in for you if Bale doesn't start?

You could easily turn it around Newman. 8 points is close to nothing in a potentially high scoring week. You'll get to 1k quite easily imo, with the casuals unaware of gw34 & 36. Take my word! 🙂

If Bale doesnt start, its miyaichi or Caulker....probably ryo

8 points is a lot dude. Our teams are mad similar. It wil be hard to make up.

Even if the casuals are unaware, Im not sure I can even take advantage in 34. Only fielding 9 for that week as of this moment. That is the other reason I am cosnidering Bale to Walcott.

I was considering Bale>Walcott next week, but I really need some Sunderland offensive coverage starting next week, so I can't do both.

If I take the hit for Walcott, I'll have 10 for 34 and 8dgwrs for 36, which is a major improvement. surely Walcott for the next two weeks will make the Bale hit worth it?

Sure. Walcott is worth it if you consider the next 3 weeks. But I'm only afraid you're missing out on a Bale haul, after staying patient on him for so long. I'd take the hit next week, if he's not confirmed out by the deadline.

I dont know guys, is it worth a risk? Is the blank gameweek enough of a reason to take a hit to get Walcott in? Chasing a UCL tie by 8 points against a crazy similar team, and experiencing a season high of frustration right now.

probably its worth a risk. walcott is playing against wolves and wigan in the next 2 games and he has the chance to score big. compred to bale, who is not confirmed yet to play this gw, plus no game in gw 34. to transfer walcott in for this 2 gw, n then transfer him out for bale in gw 35 when spurs playing against qpr as well as dgw in gw36, is the only logical things to do. but i could be wrong then

If Bale looks like starting, then I'd say definitely not. Despite his recent low scores he has looked dangerous and I'd expect points against a fairly leaky NOR defence without their regular right back. Also, I'd expect Bale to play both of the DGW games, so you'll get the Walcott game back there.

However, if Bale is out then I'd perhaps say yes. Who's your first sub? Sorry not much help, but it all hinges on Bale's availability today!

As for Baines vs a TOT defender - been thinking about this myself. Currently on Baines, but BAE is mighty tempting...one to revisit in GW36 I think!

I do agree that Bale has looked dangerous. I like in the eastern USA, SO i really don't feel like waking up at 5 am to find out if he MIGHT be playing or not.

Walcott would be gone for Bale/VDV by the time the DGW happens, so no, Bale would not get the Walcott game back if all goes to plan.

        First sub is ryo............blech.

I don't know.........I'm feeling more desperate than ever........sick of all the bad fantasy gws, so rank improvement, failing in all the leagues that matter (knocked out of both torresmagic leagues)........knee jerks are supposed to help with fantasy depression, right?

Heres my other thing, and Elnino, note this as well:

Bale did limp off on saturday. Maybe its not serious, but surely if Harry can rest him for hopes that he will play for the FA match, he will do so.

Two days rest since last game: that isn't much.

Haha, I think it comes down to your gut feel on Bale. If you think he'll get rested, which sounds very possible, then I'd do Bale -> Walcott for a hit. Especially since Ryo is your first sub. It's a gamble, but imagine if you didn't and Walcott bags a hat-trick, assists and 3 BPs in a 7-0 win! 😉

Yeah, but same thing the opposite way, really. Bale could go nuts as well.

But I don't know, I do kinda feel like Walcott has better odds of a haul.

    Please Advice!!!

QUESTION: Bale > Walcott for 4 point hit?

    BALE
75% chance to play, VdV also finding form, 3 assists in last 9 games = 28 points in last 9 games
    GW33 : Norwich at Home
    GW34 : ---
    GW35 : QPR Away
GW36 : Blackburn at Home & Bolton Away

    WALCOTT
Fit, 4 goals and 4 assists in last 9 games = 64 points in last 9 games

I already have 11 playing for GW34, so need to use or lose a transfer next week. Expect Sess (WOL) to easily outscore Surman (MCY) that week. Current plan is:

        GW34: Surman -> Sess
        GW35: Walcott -> Bale/VDV
GW36: Rooney & Kompany -> Ade & Baines (possibly also Turner -> BAE for a hit)

You're right. All your bench play next week. Surman > Sess definitely improves the team.

I plan for the same move on Gw36, but not so confident in Ade so far. Do you think if Suarez or Torres are good alternatives?

I think Ade is the safer pick for sure - I expect Drogba to start at least 1 of the games in the DGW, plus Suarez can't shoot! Ade a decent (c) option too!

Demps form cant be ignored, form > fixtures.

Norwich aren't a bad side, and Capt. America scored AWAY vs chelsea last time out. 10/15 goals have come at home, and if fulham score, he surely will be involved.

            All came down to:

Demps (CHE, - , WIG) vs. Bale (NOR, - , qpr)

Have to hand it to demps over those 3 fixtures.

The away DGW doesn't look that appealing on the face of it but the Everton game is a week before the FA cup final and the Liverpool game is 4 days before the FA cup final so he'll be facing a weakened side in one of those matches, and form is more important than fixtures at this stage of the season anyway.

Ryo + Skrtel > Walcott + Cualker is a definite possibility for me in GW 34, a midfield of Bale, Dempsey, Sessegnon, Walcott and Valencia would be awesome. I can only so it if there are no price rises or falls before midday tmrw, is that likely?

at this moment i just have 7 players for the week 34..so if i plan to field atleast 10..i have to take a hit at some point of time

Swansea have decent gameweek 33 and 34,Suarez has blank week 34

Is Kolarov guaranted playing time in coming gameweeks??

Who are people going to Captain this GW, Rooney v Wigan, RVP v Wolves or Cisse v Bolton? I may stick with Rooney but Cisse is tempting as form is off the chain and difference. Thoughts?
