A pivotal day of Premier League football sees both Manchester clubs involved, as the race for the title heats up. Justifying the “Super Sunday” billing, the Dugout Discussion opens for the opener at Old Trafford, where United are in a prime position to pile the pressure on City. They themselves visit the Emirates later this afternoon, facing an in form Arsenal.

The team sheets for the Manchester United – Queens Park Rangers game are in, and the sides line-up as follows…

Man Utd XI: De Gea, Rafael Da Silva, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Scholes, Carrick, Young, Rooney, Welbeck.

QPR XI: Kenny, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Hill, Taiwo, Diakite, Derry, Mackie, Taarabt, Buzsaky, Bothroyd.

Two changes for the champions then, with Ashley Young and Danny Welbeck replacing Phil Jones and Javier Hernandez from the side that were victorious at Blackburn.

Somewhat surprisingly, Bobby Zamora is dropped to the substitutes bench for visitors, with Jay Bothroyd replacing him. Meanwhile, Joey Barton isn’t risked, with the midfielder one yellow card away from a two-match suspension.

Follow the action as it unfolds in our Dugout Discussion chatroom, which can be accessed right here.

This is only my second post and I am using it to ask the question:

Why, even after Dempsey has proved he can do what he do, are there still people thinking of transferring him out? Does he need to score a double hat-trick for you to consider keeping him?

It confuses me, much like the blind faith people still have with Bale. Bale is the most overrated player in the the league. Consistently awful, not just as a player but also as a human being, there is no justification of having him in your team. I read that people have him in as 'a differential'.. a differential to what? A decent point-scoring player?

In conclusion: Ditch Bale, Keep Dempsey and we will all get out of this mess with smiles.

Have a good GW everybody. I am watching you all.

Agree with your first point, disgusted with your second.

Awful as a human being? Umm.... Did you ask him how his dogs are when you met him?

And you're wrong. He is a very good player, the whole player of the year thing might back me up there. He is seemingly a bit selfish at the moment, but he will come good.

        like i said, BLIND FAITH!

seriously though, I did meet him once. I tried to shake his hand and he grabbed his ankle and rolled around for 5 minutes.

          Blind faith?
He has 10 goals and 11 assists, and plays with an attacking team facing a good run of fixtures.

          And funny one man.

yes, but when did he get all of those?

take a step back, take a breath and then have a look at Bale's recent stats. then go to your team and being in ANYONE for him.

Ok need a Rooney hatrick from 2 Valencia assists and 1 from Evans so the score would be 3-0 Utd, then after 60 mins Evans gets subbed and Qpr score 4 to win 4-3.
