Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez miss out as Kenny Dalglish rests and rotates at Blackburn. Maxi Rodriguez and Andy Carroll are the main protagonists as the visitors return to winning ways, while Yakubu grabs a double for Rovers to take his season tally to 16…

Liverpool Rotation
With a weekend FA Cup Semi-Final to consider, Kenny Dalglish followed on from Harry Redknapp and David Moyes’ Monday selection policy by resting many of his main men for the trip to Ewood Park. It proved to be a hugely frustrating night for many Fantasy managers as the Reds returned to winning ways ahead of the Everton showdown. Steven Gerrard missed out altogether, Jose Enrique was handed a brief second half sub role for a single point return, while Luis Suarez warmed the away bench for the entire 90 minutes – ironically, their absence saw the Reds win on the road for the first time since Gameweek 23 at Wolves. Glen Johnson and Daniel Agger were given 52 and 38 minutes respectively as they continue their injury comebacks, with Dalglish revealing post-match that the pair came through the game without any problems.

Liverpool Goalkeepers
Doni’s time between the posts as Dalglish’s number one didn’t last long. With Pepe Reina suspended, the Brazilian started against Villa and Blackburn but his dismissal means he is now out of the FA Cup Semi-Final with Everton after receiving a one-match suspension. Although Brad Jones will fill in at Wembley, the Merseyside clash is the last of Reina’s three-game ban, meaning the Spaniard will return for Liverpool’s next league match, a home clash with West Brom in Gameweek 35.

Maxi Rodriguez
The Argentine has rarely featured under Dalglish this season – last night was just his eighth appearance of the campaign. Afforded a midfield starting role, Maxi bagged a double to take his tally to four in six starts – Stewart Downing, Jordan Henderson and Charlie Adam have a combined return of three goals from 78 starts, in comparison. With the Reds struggling to find the net, it’s all the more perplexing that Maxi hasn’t featured since Gameweek 22; if his side prevail at Wembley this weekend, perhaps the 7.0 priced midfielder may see more game time over the rest of the season if Dalglish maintains his rotation policy.

Daniel Agger
Eased back into action after a rib injury, the Dane climbed off the bench to make a significant contribution for the second consecutive Gameweek. Having provided an assist for Luis Suarez against Villa last weekend, Agger set up Andy Carroll for the visitors’ late winner, nodding on for the forward to head past Paul Robinson in the home goal. With the double Gameweek 36 to factor in, Agger – with a mere 2.2% ownership – could prove to be a decent differential over the rest of the campaign.

Andy Carroll
It took Fernando Torres until Gameweek 31 to pick up his first double figure return this season – his Anfield replacement will break his own personal duck if he picks up a single bonus point on Thursday morning. The former Newcastle man is currently sitting on nine points, with a goal and assist in last night’s five-goal thriller surely set to bring Carroll bonus. With nine points accumulated over the previous eight Gameweeks, his 1.9% ownership even seems generous after a dire Fantasy campaign.

Yakubu
Prior to last night, Blackburn had lost only one game the Nigerian had notched in – back in Gameweek 17 at home to Bolton. Despite bagging a brace against Liverpool, a missed spot-kick proved costly for both Rovers and his Fantasy owners; a 3-2 defeat kept Steve Kean’s side in the bottom three, while Yakubu was deducted a couple of points for a woeful spot-kick. His goal tally has now climbed to 16 for the campaign; only Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Sergio Aguero have scored more than the 6.0 priced forward. With Swansea, Norwich and Wigan in the final five fixtures, Yakubu looks likely to get amongst the goals again before the season is out.

I'm expecting a 3 figure score this week!! Scored 20 from 3 players so far, which is an average of 8.333 per player. Scoring at this rate from 11 players (plus captain) I can expect 8.3333 X 12 = 100 8). Happy days.

Out of that lot I'd be tempted to get rid of Kelly or Schwarzer - aside from Wigan at home none of Fulham's fixtures are particularly kind for defenders. That said, if you're taking a hit it needs to be definitely worth it and it depends how much you have to replace them with.

way i see it is if you dont have 11 then this week is teh perfect time to improve a player you dont want long-term as itll effectively cost you 2pts (maybe less or make u profit) so for that reason id look at ryo or skrtel out myself

not really big on planning ahead but here's my first thoughts on DGW:

    Mig
    BAE*, Caulker, McAuley, Baines*
    Siggy, Bale*, Demps*
    PCisse*, Ade*, RvP

    Krul*, Valencia, McClean, JEvans

    just leaves me to decide:

Mig (BOL) or Krul (wig, che)?
Also seems wrong to bench Valencia (mci). Play him over a def (McCauley)?

    thoughts?

    Current GW34 team: (2 FT's)

    Mig (Krul)
    Caulker Evans McAuley (Kaboul Simpson)
    Walcott Siggy Valencia (Bale Dempsey)
    RVP Rooney (Suarez)

Bale > Sess will almost certainly happen

Would you do Suarez > Aguero (if he shows glimpse of form tonight) or Kaboul > Verm?

Ideally, I want both Suarez and Kaboul for the DGW, but figure one has to go in order to field 11 this week

I quite like Bale & Kaboul -> Sess & Vermaelen. Aguero/Silva would need to play immensely tonight for me to even consider them. Also, even though I don't have him, Suarez may do well for GW35 and the double, so I'd be loathed to get rid now.

Hmm, I was on Sess all week but currently on Arteta. He and Arsenal have the form and reason to win games, and he's on 50% of corners and free kicks. If I knew Bendy would play then that may sway me back to Sess, but Sess up front on his own = no interest for me.

If there's not one already, i'm thinking of setting up a twitter acount giving out bonus point allocations as soon as they come. That way people wouldn't have to keep refreshing site to check as you'd juat see a notification when they were out. Prob would need to go in with a few other people though to ensure there was someone on it on any givinf morning. Would have to be fairly instant it wouldn't work...could also give assist, card and sub details during matches?

Thanks Fb. I see that you have him as well. Are you keeping?
I have 10 players for GW34 and 1FT - who out of Simpson / JEnrique / Bale / Suarez would you sell?

I keep the faith in Suarez (stubborn, again, plus there seems to be no good striker for GW34 apart from Roo and RvP), reluctant to sale Bale. If I go with my gut, I'd sell Simpson for Caulker of Turner.

Gave up last week. If he drops another .1m I'll probably do the straight swap Walcott > Bale ahead of 36. From what I've seen of the Spurs v Norwich game he looked fairly sharp, hit the bar, few dangerous runs etc. If Spurs can get their act together he'll be back to his normal lethal self.

Going to ask this again as I'm an indecisive bugger. GW34 team:

    (howard)(bogdan)
    Evans Vermaelen Taiwo Caulker (enrique)
    Sigurdsson Valencia McClean (bale)(dempsey)
    RVP Rooney (Cissé)

    A) Bale>Walcott
    B) Enrique>McAuley
    C) Both
    D) Neither

I would do a defender I think, unless of course Walcott looks amazing later!

Bale would be someone most are playing to get back next week or so, but McAuley, Turner, Bardslet, Ridgwell etc have chances of cleansheets and extra points on that. Worst case you should still get +2 as its a free!

Thanks Krisbee. Yeah it's probably best to wait to see how well Arsenal play later I guess! Kind of hoping Walcott gets injured (not serious obv) so I can bring in a defender and keep Bale.

For a free I'd consider Cahill out as you're not going to want to play hom for the next couple of weeks. I'm personally looking at Turner or McCauley - either would be a good move and would free up some cash for you.

I think some players genuinely just take a long time to settle into new surroundings and he's only 23.
May be a good option for the double gameweek if he carries on this way.
