With Sunderland’s upcoming fixtures affording Fantasy managers a viable route into the conundrum that is Gameweek 34 and double Gameweek 36, Stephane Sessegnon looks primed for investment. The top scoring Fantasy Premier League (FPL) player for Martin O’Neill’s side, Sessegnon has a couple of home games against two of the bottom five and, with the Black Cats performances at the Stadium of Light continuing to impress, the Benin international could be set to profit once again.

Many managers’ transfer plans now turn to the difficult weekend ahead and, with eight sides facing blanks, a tactical alternative is to focus on those with strong fixtures over both Gameweek 34 and 36. One of only three sides with favourable home fixtures in each of those Gameweeks – along with Swansea and West Brom – O’Neill’s outfit face an out-of-sorts Wolves on Saturday before playing host to Bolton in a fortnight’s time. Sandwiched in between is a trip to Villa – a clash that won’t deter Sessegnon’s potential suitors.

Despite their recent hammering at Everton, a look at Sunderland’s contrasting home/away form since the sacking of Steve Bruce indicates just how strong a force the Black Cats are in front of their own fans. While they have picked up 11 points from 10 ten games on the road, the Wearsiders have accrued 20 points from nine home fixtures under O’Neill. Six wins, a couple of draws and a single loss are indicative of their reliable home displays, with Arsenal the only side to escape with the three points.

With two goals, three assists and five bonus points over his eight home appearances under O’Neill, Sessegnon has returned a total of 48 points at the Stadium of Light – an average of six points per home game since Bruce’s dismissal. Indeed, in spite of Sunderland’s poor away form, Sessegnon has remained consistent on the road – a couple of goals, three assists and four bonus points is almost identical to his home returns and will instill plenty confidence ahead of the Gameweek 35 trip to Villa Park.

While a trip to Fulham and home clash with United look tricky, Sessegnon’s short-term fixtures promote him highly in the updated Watchlist rankings and, with Nicklas Bendtner a doubt due to a back injury, he may well be afforded the opportunity to lead the line once again, as O’Neill’s side look to bounce back from the Goodison mauling and finish the season on a high.

Scored a stunner in football tonight. 11 aside. Tackled some ogre of a striker, he fell over, played a one two, and then another, then turned some german guy who did a Mertesacher impersonation and also fell to the ground, bottom corner toe poke. That's 4 goals in 3 weeks, and I'm a defender xD

He's right. Transfer 2 defenders, play 3-4-3. Costs you 4 points but you get 4 points back by filling 2 spots in you team that would be blank this gameweek. Therefore 2 free transfers.

The real issue is not so much the hit and it's worth, it's a question of who do you bring in that will not just serve you in 34 but in 35-38 as well.

Obviously different ways to look at it. I'm fielding 11 this week, 2 t/f next week and 2 t/f the week after to field 8 DGW. Costs me 8 points over 2 weeks but fielding an extra 4 DGW players compared to what I have now gets me 8 points back straight away, so the cost is negated.

Hiya lads. I have a plan done out (I won't bore you with the specific players)

GW34 No transfer and play 10.
    GW35 1 FT and have 2 DGWers
GW36 4 point hit and have 8 DGWers.

Now, to my question ; my transfer plan would involve benching Walcott in 35 (CHE) and 36 (sto).

Without knowing the other players...is this completely crazy? Thanks

I agree with this, plus the whole Liverpool set up tbh.
I used to quite like LFC, but there is just something not right, whether it be Daglish or the owners i'm not sure.
Not a team to invest in for Fantasy players imo.

Think the last point you make is the important one (although the 1st one is another reason!).

Think (and hope for our sake) that Liverpool win v Everton and then League will play back-burner to cup for rest of the season.

If Swansea continue their bad form, is it worth a part of an 8PH to get Pienaar in for Sigurdsson.

Other DGWers are: Schwarzer. Baines. Simpson. Dempsey. Mata. Adebayor. Cisse.

Im debating Siggy > Pienaar for 4 points, obviously don't want to lose Siggy for Wolves but am thinking of it as a 2 week hit with Pienaar at Wolves the following week whereas Siggy is at United

      Siggy WOL mun
Pienaar FUL sto wol - 4

      Which is better?

Hey guys, like everyone else bit unsure of my GW 34/36 line-ups.

    Current team GW 34:

    (Krul/Schwarzer)

    Caulker/Evans (Skrtl/Santon/BAE)

    Siggy/Walcott/McClean/Valencia (Bale)

    RVP/Rooney (Cisse)

So 8 players, and I have 2 FT with 4.7mil in bank.

    Thinking for 4 point hit:

    Schwarzer -> Mig

    Santon -> Verm

    Bale -> Sess

Sound good? Or leave the keeper and just make 2 transfers?

Will prob swap McClean for HBA in GW36 so need to drop one of my newcastle players.

    Cheers!

Do it. Field 8 and get 16 appearance points, field 11 and get 22 appearance points. So you don't take a 4 point hit, you have a 2 point swing in your favour.

      a) Get Pienaar in for McClean and bench one of Siggy, Sess or RvP

    Mignolet ( Begovic)
Kompany, Evans, Vermealen, Caluker ( Kelly)
Siggy, valencia, mclean, ( Dempsey, Bale)
    RVP, Rooney, ( Cisse)

    1FT, 2.8 M in the Bank

A: Save the transfer, field 10
B: Kelly to Turner, i don't fancy kelly for the DGW anyhow
C: Bale to Walcott , means loosing a transfer to get Bale back for the double.

Pffft, its not as simple as that. If Chamberlain starts, he could easily outscore Walcott.

          Massive 'if' there though.

IMO he won't and shouldn't start.

Walcott by far, he's on form and is at home this week

So Comolli is no longer at Liverpool. To be fair to him, he was pretty consistent in splashing money out on average players.

I read an article which said:

    Top 5 EPL playmakers:
    Hatem Ben Arfa
    David Silva
    Ryan Giggs
    Stephane Sessegnon
    Steven Gerrard

what a joke. VDV should top that list. and Siggy should also feature in there imo.
(and criticise me for this if u like but I think Alex Song should be somewhere in there too eventhough he isnt an out-n-out playmaker, but he makes some awesome passes)

Scholes should feature also if you think Song should.

Scholes should feature regardless of Song.

Gerrard and HBA 'should' suffer from lack of games.

Siggy's not a playmaker, neither is Ben Arfa really.

Siggy isn't actually a very good playmaker. He has a great shot.

Luka Modric is a playmaker. VDV isn't.

Siggy is a goalscoring midfield. Joe Allen and Leon Britton are playmakers.

I should be back, but I am not a fullback so Warnock should stay in midfield.

TommyTour. I think for a 4PH Siggy to Pienaar seems sound. But do you think i should do it for an 8Ph?

Or is it a bad omen?
Yes, I know I should have Valencia but I got Young gw28 Wildcard, now I can only get rid of him gw35!
