Back after a Gameweek’s absence, we’re still licking our wounds having been edged out of some winnings. Robin Van Persie let us down against Man City, so while Papiss Cisse and Wayne Rooney both held up their end of the goalscorer treble, Paddy Power got to keep our money. Not to worry, as the excitement of the Grand National builds, we dust ourselves off and jump back in the ring for another go at Paddy in this week’s Fantasy Flutter.

Wigan put together a resolute performance against league leaders United in the week, but with a trip to the Emirates immediately following, Roberto Martinez must be worried that his side have enough left in the tank. Theo Walcott has been on incisive form of late and will likely be a key figure in Wigan’s downfall. Paddy have Walcott to net and Arsenal to keep a clean sheet at 100/30, which we’ll happily open our wallets for – our first £3 is spent.

Swansea have lost four in row leading up to this weekend’s home fixture with Blackburn. They’ve slipped down the table, and only netted once whilst conceding ten. Not fantastic reading for fans and Fantasy managers alike, as faith in Gylfi Sigurdsson begins to waver. We feel that Swansea could make a Rovers recovery, though, and with the Icelandic attacking midfielder netting five times in March and April, he could be the one to bring Swansea out of their slumber. Paddy are offering 9/1 for a Sigurdsson goal and a Swansea cleansheet – that might seem a little skinny considering the abysmal Swans form, but it is definitely worth a quid of our cash.

Stephane Sessegnon is a frustrating chap. He seems to perform wonders in clusters of two or three matches, then has an off couple of weeks where he’s satisfied to collect his two Fantasy points and go home to bed. After a goalless draw and a four-nil drubbing against Everton, “Sess” will surely be looking to hit another spurt of form with three favourable fixtures on their way. The first of these is against current whipping boys Wolves, and with Paddy offering 9/2 on a Sessegnon goal and Sunderland cleansheet, our final £6 is well spent.

That’s your lot for another Flutter – good luck with your punts this weekend, particularly if you’re backing a horse in the National. Don’t forget, if you’ve yet to pick your runner, make sure you go and see our friends at Paddy Power first.

Money Back Specials

Paddy’s Money Back Special can be found at Sunday’s Emirates clash and it’s a good one. If a Robin van Persie scores the last goal in this game, Paddy will refund all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score and Scorecast singles on the match up to a value of £100 per customer.

There’s also an FA Cup special going on: if a red card is shown in either of the FA Cup gams this weekend, Paddy will refund all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score and Scorecast singles on that match up to a value of £100 per customer.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

I plan to get in Petrov for McClean next week then ditch Aguero and Komps for Baines + Adebayor depending on how FA Cup plays out...may have to consider my options between 35-36

that way I would have taken a 4 point hit between 34-36 to get 11 for gw 34 and 8 double gweekers for gw 36

my gw 36 might look like

        Bogdan
        Baines Simpson Cahill
        Bale Walcott Valencia Siggy
        Adebayor RVP Rooney

Captain Sess as me and quite a few others. Wolves have the worst defensive record and Sunderland are exceptional at home. Wolves suck. Away and at home.

Wigan are fighting to avoid relegation and haven't let in more than two goals per game since GW 23.

RVP hatrick would surprise nobody though. A Sess one certainly would. Although a Sess brace and clean sheet pretty much matches that anyway and certainly a possibility. Ok, then, RVP not scoring would surprise everyone. Sess not scoring wouldn't!

I went for Ade over RVP last week.

Obviously not learned my lesson, Sess is captain this week.

VP is still the "safest" and majority will go for him (me included) - always a big dilemma whether to go for the early bird and have a long wait until the other one plays or vice versa.

How much will everyone actually be betting on the grand national? A couple of fiver bets is enough for me in a race noone can predict a winner..

    Morning all 😀

Just been reading the rules and not sure if its due to the fact the Sheep had a couple of beers last night or I am having a dull Saturday....I cant see what happens with free transfers.

I havent made one last GW so i have 2 free this week....if i just do one this week does a free one carry over to next week to be 2 FT again or do I lose it all together?

I'm currently around the 5k mark in the rankings. I also have an easy H2H clash this week with a player with only 4 playing this GW.
Right now i have 9 playing, but can't help but feeling like i could improve my team..

In my position, would you guys to Bale -> Nasri/Arteta (for a 4pt hit)

    I already have McClean.

Any feedbacks good, even if it's just saying what you've done 🙂

    Cheers

whats more important to you? the h2h or the overall league position
any free transfer is a good idea
any hit isnt that penalizing this week coz many people are taking however we all know the risks
having said that, i have 11 and no hits taken, but it means i have to play 5-3-2

IM happy to go with 10 players this week.

I dont want to get rid of any of my players who arent playing with the exception of Kelly, who I will sell for either a Sunderland/Swansea defender
