Didier Drogba is out of the firing line for Chelsea as they travel to the Emirates. Yakubu and Junior Hoilett are set to start for troubled Rovers. Cheick Tiote is expected to return for the Magpies ahead of their meet with Stoke, who will check on flu-victim Jermaine Pennant.

Pavel Pogrebnyak returns for Fulham as they prepare for the arrival of in-form Wigan. Mark Albrighton, Carlos Cuellar and Charles N’Zogbia push for Villa starts. Ashley Young is the only slight concern as the leaders wait on the visit of Everton; they will be without the inspiration of Leighton Baines, as a hamstring injury keeps him sidelined.

All the day’s team news tittle tattle has been collated for you and can be found in our Team News section, along with our predicted lineups for all the weekend’s games. We’ll keep this up to date right up until tomorrow’s deadline, and, as always, keep ‘em peeled for the latest via the Scout Tweets.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

In Like Flynn: Two great matches in ENRs CL-competition! I've been away for a few weeks and haven't been able to check the comments on all the latest articles, but I hope you don't feel to bad about it. 😉

Will be interesting to see what Rukawa has in store for me this week, I could perhaps go all the way in this thing if I'm lucky! 😀

I'm sure he will still be amongst the points and be getting forward, but it's just not as appealing as when he's the lone striker and there are other options with better fixtures.

nice write up....look forward to the next one. Captaincy is going to be so important in gwk 36 and midfield is traditionally the best place to hang the armband so I'm keen to see more of your thoughts.

Bale, Dempsey don't convince me ....tough choice. May just go Clint due to his magnetic ability to pull points to himself during a double.

To rest Tevez and then prepare him for United game. It's a could-be.

I can't see him resting a player that needs more gametime if anything.

There are no guarantees but I'd be gobsmacked to see Dzeko striding onto the pitch watched by Ageuro or Tevez from the bench.

City don't need to rotate/rest any players, they've got over a week to recover before the derby. Balotelli is probably about as likely as Dzeko to start!

Yep! Wish Villa or Bolton had a star player to punt on but there's nothing to tempt me there! I think Aguero is the option but just wanted some reassurance. The other possibility is Tevez of course...

In your opinion which are the best transfers for this week. Dempsey is coming in definitely.

          A) Rooney and Moses to Dempsey and Cisse (-4)
          B) Rooney and Sessegnon to Dempsey and Tevez (-4)
          C) Rooney and Sessegnon to Dempsey and Aguero (-4)
          D) Sessegnon to Dempsey
          E) Rooney and Moses to Dempsey and Suarez (-4)
